Guess who's back, back, back, Back again, gan, gan. Liss is back, back, back, tell a friend, friend, friend! Alright yes I am a dork, but I think it's time to blow the dust off this book and start it up again. I have taken a long break from my fanfics, and you awesome people deserve some new content lol. It’s been 24 hours since Kami has been resurrected. I was sitting in the hospital waiting room with my head in my hands, replaying what just happened repeatedly in my mind.
‘We ran towards the red clouds and light shooting in the sky, dreading the fight we were about to face. We stopped just before the tomb and looked on as Kami slowly exited the stone building. However, I looked at him with confusion. I know my Gods and Goddesses, and he looked nothing like Kami. He had long black hair that fell down his shoulders and face, with Egyptian make-up around his eyes and arms. His white robe fell around his feet and his arms showed glowing tattoos with Egyptian writing on them. Then, it hit me and I gasped. James looked at me “What is it?” I shook my head “They weren’t resurrecting Kami… they were resurrecting Set”, Adam snapped his attention to me “Set!? You mean the true God of storms, chaos, and war?” I nodded “Yeah…they lied to us”.
                The four Akkans were on their knees bowing to him as he walked out, and He smiled at them “You have all done well. Where is the other one?” Yuki looked up at him with sadness in his eyes “They killed her… they killed Sute” Set walked up to him and placed a hand on his shoulder “I will make them pay for what they have done, Yuki. I will make this universe pay for how they treated me. This is my land, and they took it from me. Horus is long gone, but I am back. He can’t stop me now” I chewed my lip “This is worse than I thought James”. The clouds around us swirled in the sky becoming darker, and without warning a bolt of lightning struck between us and we jumped away before we were hit. We were now in the clearing, face to face with Set and his followers. He eyed me curiously and a small smile slipped on his lips “Your Jensa. I have to say they were right about your beauty” I saw James growl beside me, and Gaara took a step closer in defense. I kept my gaze steady and he continued “I have been gone for so long I forgot how pleasant this place is. I’m going to have fun destroying everything”.
                I came closer and he measured me up “Why are you doing this Set? Everyone who has wronged you is gone, there is no need to destroy our world” Set scoffed “I am the God of the dessert, and I am here to take my land back; becoming its ruler again. You humans have too much freedom, and lack of discipline” I growled “You time has already passed Set! You are no longer the ruler in this world!” His smile sent chills down my spine, and he chuckled “That is about the change, Jensa”. He walked in front of me and even though everyone took steps back, I didn’t back down. He tilted his head slightly “Too bad you’re trying to kill me… You would make a perfect queen” I shook my head “Keep dreaming, Set”.
                His eyes narrowed, and he tried to grab my throat but I gripped his hand before he got there. He beamed “Not bad” I shrugged, then he threw me back without touching me and I hit a tree with a groan. Everyone went crazy then, and they tried to hit Set with everything they had. Gaara tried to throw his sand at him, but Set stopped it before the sand touched him and made it go back to Gaara. I thought that was impossible, but we are dealing with a God after all. Adam was trying to throw anything he could but Set reflected it and it bounced off. It was as if a force field was around him and nothing would touch him. Lightning struck down around him and everyone had to dodge the attacks. Then, we heard a scream and watched Adam get struck by a beam and fall to the ground shaking. I screamed towards him and Gaara was already on it.
                I stood up and stared at Set, hating the smirk on his face. I ran towards him and tried to hit him with whatever I had. Lynn shielded me, but he punched the shield so hard it shattered and I flew back again. This time, my head slammed into the tree behind me and pain shot through me. I tried to look around and get the spinning to stop, but it was no use. Luke summoned his warriors and Lynn shielded him as he charged towards Set, James right by his side. James threw fire at him and he reflected it, then moved out of the way while Luke tried to slash his skin with his katana. His warriors were normally indestructible, but Set was picking them off one by one without breaking a sweat. He grabbed Luke’s arm and snapped it, making Luke scream in pain and was thrown back. James didn’t give up, and he fought Set with all his might. He landed a punch to his jaw, and Set smiled “Good boy James! I knew you could do it!”, James growled “Shut up!”.
                He tried again, but this time, Set kicked his leg out from under him and I heard a sickening crack, as James was also thrown away from him. Set’s eyes rested on me and he sighed “Fear not Jensa, I will give you a 3-day grace period. You can mourn the loss of your world, and if you wish to find me I will be here again when time is up”. The Akkans stood, and when Set snapped his fingers, they were gone.’
                I sighed and hid my face again. We did everything we could, and nothing could stop him. I have never felt so weak in my life. Adam, Luke, and James were in the three rooms on my right and they were all being examined. I was in my own thoughts, and didn’t hear Gaara walk in front of me and kneel. I looked up, defeat evident in my face. He gave a long sigh and held me close “We will figure this out. There has to be a way” I shook my head “How in the hell are we going to defeat that?”. He remained quiet, and Adam’s door opened to reveal Temari and Sakura step out. I jumped up and walked over to them. Sakura had a troubled look on her face and she sighed “Jensa… he is going to be alright, but he won’t be able to move from the bed for at least a couple weeks”. I let out a small breath, thanking God he wasn’t dead, and then looked up at the sky; fighting back the tears threatening to escape. I cleared my throat and looked at them again “Can I go see him? Please?”, Sakura nodded “Alright, but he needs as much rest as he can get so try not to disturb him”.
                I didn’t hesitate and ran past them. I closed the door behind me quietly and looked as he laid there still. I wasn’t sure he was breathing for a minute until I walked closer and saw his chest moving. I knelt beside his bed and slipped my hand in his. I wanted to see his goofy smile, and hear his cheery voice. He was always the silly one, and knew how to make everyone smile. I needed that smile right now, but knew it wouldn’t happen. I squeezed his hand gently and bowed my head, praying he would wake up and talk to me. I almost jumped out of my skin when I heard a raspy voice fill my ears “You don’t look to good baby girl”, I looked up and gasped. His eyes were bloodshot and his face was pale, but he still smiled. I got up and hugged him carefully, letting out a small laugh “You should see you goofy!”. He tried to chuckle but it came out as a cough instead “Ah, damn that hurt’s a bit” I grinned “I’m so glad you’re alright Adam”, he met my gaze and squeezed my hand “Same… I was so worried…”. I looked at him in disbelief “YOU were worried? Adam, I was panicked that I-we lost you!”. I caught my slip up, but so didn’t he.
                We looked at each other for a second, and then he looked away “How is James and Luke? I heard Sakura talking to Temari when I was going in and out” I sighed “Luke is fine, and James lost a lot of blood. However, Sakura did a wonderful job of healing them; so, after a night’s rest they’ll be fine”, Adam nodded “Good…did you get ahold of Lady Luna?”. I chewed my lip and looked at our hands, wondering why it felt good to hold him. He placed his hand under my chin and made me look at him “What is it Jensa?” I sighed “I got a hold of Lady Luna and spoke to her about everything that was happening. After we spoke, she agreed to come and help us. Set is too powerful to be stopped alone” Adam sighed “Alright, that will help us tremendously”, I looked down again and Adam shifted his body a little “What are you not telling me Jensa?”. I wondered if I should tell him or if I should leave it alone. I knew I would have to let everyone know eventually, but I also knew they wouldn’t like it. I took a deep breath and decided he had a right to know, and I smiled at him “Only an Immortal can kill Set” he tried to sit up to protest, but pain shot through him and he cried out.
                I helped him lay back down and he gripped my hands, pleading with me “Jensa no! You can’t fight him alone he will kill you!” I shook my head “Lady Luna is going to be with me, and she won’t let me die” Adam shook his head furiously “No! Jensa please! Let us help you!”. I placed my hand on his cheek and he calmed down. Then we looked at each other and I gave my best reassuring grin “Adam, I can do this. I am going to take the Lintra and Lady Luna will help me. I just need you all to believe in me” Adam was about to cry, and it twisted my heart painfully. He gasped out “Jensa, I can’t lose you. Please, don’t go” I knew how he felt about me, but hearing it out loud made me slightly blush. I leaned in and kissed his cheek, but he grabbed my head and slid his lips over mine. I was shocked, and thought about pulling away, but I didn’t. I kissed him back and pulled away after a minute. If I was going to die, I want to make sure everyone would be at peace when I died. I knew he’s been waiting to do this, so he gets his wish before I go.
                We looked at each other for a second, and then I stood up straight. I took a deep breath and smiled “Trust me, please?” he pursed his lips together and closed his eyes, fighting a battle inside of him. He took a deep breath and opened his eyes “I swear to God Jensa, you better come back to me”, I grinned and nodded “I promise”. I walked out the door, feeling more horrible than I did before I went it. I kissed him, and not only that I made a promise that I didn’t know if I could keep or not. I turned to find everyone in the room behind me, James and Adam included, and they looked at me. My eyes rested on Gaara and guilt pooled in my stomach. Damn it, I’m an idiot. I took a few steps forward and James folded his arms “Sakura let us go if we promise to get rest” I smiled “That’s great”. James and everyone eyed me, but it was Gaara who spoke “What are you not telling us?”. I looked at him and thought “Well I just kissed Adam”, but I held that back.
                James kept watching me, and then I took a deep breath “Lady Luna will be here tomorrow to help bring down Set” Lynn smiled “Oh thank God. She will be able to stop him”. I didn’t say anything, so James did “But that isn’t all, is there?” I shook my head “No”. Everyone stayed quiet, and I chewed my lip “Only an Immortal can kill Set…and I am going alone with Lady Luna to kill him”. Everyone erupted at once, except for me and Gaara. Our eyes locked, but his face stayed emotionless while his eyes said everything. There was fear, anger, confusion, but most of all understanding. He understood this is what I had to do, and there was no stopping it. As a leader himself, he knows that you must do what you need to sometimes, and this is one of those times.
                James walked up to me, anger flared crossed his face “What the hell are you thinking! Jensa he will kill you!” I nodded “I know”, he roared “THEN WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS!?”. I looked at him and he finally knew, I was the only one to do it. “Unless you know another immortal around, it’s my place to bring him down. Plus, Lady Luna will be right there to help me” James looked at me defeated, and everyone was silent again. I felt tears sting my eyes, and looked around at all the sad faces. “I love you guys… and I am so proud to be your leader. I need you to trust me, and let me do this to save everyone in this world… including you all”. I turned to walk away, leaving everyone I loved behind me. If I am to die tomorrow, then I want to make sure they all knew how I felt.
