A/N: Sorry this chapter took so long it was alot harder to write than i first thought, especially when i kept changing my mind on how i wanted the story to progress. So thanks for your patience and enjoy the new chapter next one should be up next weekend or so.
Chapter 11: Breaking the Ninja, Unleashing the Demon
“Where am I?” Naruto croakily whispered as he tried to move the air up his dry throat and pass the words past his dry and cracked lips.
Naruto’s head snapped to his right as someone punched him across the jaw. His head was swimming as fresh blood leaked from his mouth. Another blow and he was out, his small sliver of consciousness was gone.
Naruto didn’t feel the needles that pierced his flesh. He didn’t feel the chemicals that kept his mind swimming in darkness. He didn’t feel the blades that cut his flesh.
“Wake up Naruto, Fight back.” Kurama roared in the darkness that was Naruto’s mindscape. Naruto didn’t hear the roars of Kurama as someone tampered with his seal.
5 O’clock Day 5 of Second Ch�nin Exam in the Forest Tower
On the ground floor of the forest tower were the seven remaining Squads of the Second Ch�nin Exam. The seven squads were all standing in columns facing the Hokage, the Exam proctors and their J�nin senseis.
“Sakura where is Naruto?” Hinata asked as the Hokage stepped forward and cast his gaze over the seven squads.
  ‘Where is Naruto?’ The Hokage thought as he scanned the assembled Genin again.
“I don’t know. He’s been gone for the past three days with all his gear to.” Sakura whispered back a sliver of guilt in the back of her mind.
Hinata was worried as she phased out the Hokage’s speech. She couldn’t talk to Kurama and couldn’t get in contact with Haku either.
“Since there are still too many squads that made it through this exam we are forced to hold a preliminary exam to establish the finalists.” The Hokage said as he waved forward a sickly looking ninja with dark circles under his eyes. He wore a bandana that covered the crown of his head and a Katana on his back.
“I’m Hayate Gekk� and I will be the proctor *cough* for the next exam. As the Hokage mentioned there are too many candidates for the next exam so he will hold a preliminary exam to determine the finalists. The combatants will be chosen at random *cough* so before we begin do any of you want to give up and not take this fight, now is your chance…” Hayate said before a coughing fit stopped him from continuing.
“So does anybody want to skip this test?” The Hokage asked as Hayate recovered from his coughing fit.
Nobody put their hand up. “Nobody good, Hayate you may begin when ready.” The Hokage said stepping back and walking up to a viewing box with the other proctors.
“Let us begin the preliminaries the first fight is Sasuke VS Kabuto.”
Hidden Root Laboratory
Naruto slowly tried to open his eyes only to shut them from the glare of the multiple bright lights above him. He tried to move his left arm to cover his eyes only to find that it was bound to whatever he was lying on.
“Where am I?” Naruto croaked as he forced the words past his dry and cracked lips.
“Nowhere particular, ah your starting to wake can’t have that back to sleep little demon.” A mysterious voice said as Naruto felt the prick of a needle piercing his arm.
Slowly his slight spark of consciousness fell into a swirling sea of darkness.
“Is he ready? Has the seal been released yet?” asked a bandaged man in a black and white kimono.
“Almost, I’ve unlocked the seal as much as possible but without the formula key I can’t fully remove it.” Replied the medical mask wearing ninja who had been working on removing Naruto’s Eight Trigram Divination Seal also known (from now on) as the Eight Sign Seal.
“Damn that Minato!” the robed man snarled as his plans hit a snag. “Fine put him back in the cell with the other pain in my side.” The man ordered as he spun on his foot and walked out of the laboratory.
“Guards get ready to move him.” The masked ninja said as he and his assistant unclasped Naruto from the steel table and moved him onto a simple wooden gurney.
“Take him back to his cell.”
  Naruto’s eyes slowly fluttered open as he started to gain consciousness. His vision was blurry and his head felt like it was swimming in a sea of pain as he looked down at his dangling feet.
“Where am I?” Naruto groaned as he tried to shift his head to see why he couldn’t move his arms. He sighed as he tried to look around his cell with his blurry vision. He stopped when he looked upon a person with what looked like blurry silver hair.
“Kakashi sensei, is that you?” Naruto croaked as he squinted at the silver haired person that was chained up like him.
“Naruto is that you?” the silver haired man asked as he slowly raised his head to look at the chained and bound blonde.
“Kakashi sensei, what are you doing here? How long have you been here?” Naruto asked confused as his mind fought to break free of the ocean of drugs dulling his mind and thought capacity.
“I don’t know how long, I was taken a few days after we got back from the border skirmish.” Kakashi croaked in reply.
The screeching of rusting iron hinges grated on their senses as the door to their cell swung open. In walked three men, the leader wore a black and white kimono, while half his face was covered in bandages. Behind him came two men, the first was wearing a cat mask and ANBU gear, the other was dressed in a light aqua medical robe.
“Well aren’t we fortunate you are both awake, so let’s get started shall we.” The bandaged man said standing in front of the hanging Naruto. “So little demon, are you ready to become my weapon of destruction? Are you ready to be my tool of domination?” The bandaged man asked laughing at the scowling chained up blonde.
“Fuck you!” Naruto rasped trying to moisten his mouth so he could spit in the face of the bandaged man.
“Danz� you will not succeed, we will kill you.” Kakashi growled as he struggled against the iron shackles that held him suspended in the air.
Danz� spun around to backhand punch and then glare at the hanging Kakashi, “you have served your purpose Kakashi. My doppelganger clone did everything perfectly, so you are now expendable.” Danz� hissed in irritation clicking his fingers at the doctor.
The man in the medical robe stepped forward to stand in front of Naruto, in his hands was a metal tray lined with syringes and other medical tools.
“Begin,” the bandaged man ordered. The doctor grabbed the first of the syringes and injected Naruto with its contents.
“What is that?” Naruto groaned as his blood began to boil and his skin to prickle, tear and burn.
“It’s just a little poison that breaks a person’s mental barriers by attacking their blood and depending on their chakra affinities their bodies as well. Don’t worry this poison won’t kill you but it will make you wish you were dead.” Danz� laughed as he saw Naruto’s skin began to burn and cut itself from the inside out. “So you have wind and fire affinities. Not surprising knowing who your parents were.” Danz� mused as he watched the doctor prepare another syringe. “You will serve me Naruto willingly or not, I will control the Nine Tails power with or without you.” Danz� said as the doctor injected Naruto with another syringe.
Naruto screamed in pain as his skin began to blacken as more of the poison was injected straight into his bloodstream.
“Naruto resist don’t give up you are stronger than this.” Kakashi yelled as he tried to help and support the boy he was beginning to view as a younger brother.
“Shut up Kakashi.” Danz� shouted as he smashed the base of his cane into Kakashi’s left temple knocking him out.
“Kakashi sensei,” Naruto groaned as his body went numb from his now seriously burned and torn skin. Bubbling, boiling blood oozed from the thousands of cuts on Naruto’s skin stinging his already burnt skin. It was a vicious cycle that caused Naruto an endless amount of pain as his body began to heal only for the doctor to again inject him with another dose of poison and start the process all over again.
Naruto lost track of time as the cycle of pain continued for ten hours straight. It only stopped when he was on the verge of passing out. He was panting and covered head to toe in sweat, blood and charred flesh.
  “Bring in the hypnotist and let’s begin the next stage.” Danz� ordered as the doctor injected Naruto with a mind numbing agent.
Forest of Death Tower the Third Ch�nin Exam preliminaries
  “That is the preliminaries completed will the winners please stand before me.” The Hokage called as Anko passed a box to Hayate.
Once the only nine of ten remaining finalists had lined up in front of the Hokage he continued. “First congratulations to you for making it to the third and final exam. For this exam you will draw a number from the box and that will be your place on the brackets for the exam. Let’s begin shall we.” The hokage said as he began to walk down the line of Genin stopping at each one so they could draw a number from the box.
“Excellent the last number remaining shall be Sasuke’s.” the Hokage said drawing the number three ball. “So the matches for the third exam are ‘Kiba VS Neji’, ‘Sasuke VS Gaara’, ‘Kankur� VS Shino’, ‘Temari VS Shikamaru’ and lastly F� VS Hinata. Again congratulations on making it to the third exam and we’ll see you in one month’s time.” The Hokage said before disappearing in a burst of smoke.
Gaara who had been staring at Sakura and Hinata throughout the preliminaries walked over to the two Kunoichi. “Where is Naruto, why isn’t he here?”
“We don’t know we haven’t seen him since we arrived in the tower three days ago.” Hinata answered as Sakura remained silent as her guilt and fear of the Sand’s Jinch�riki kept her cautious.
“What do you mean you don’t know where he is? Where else can he be?” Gaara asked looking between the two as Kankur� and Temari walked up behind him.
“We don’t know but he is gone, we’ve checked this tower top to bottom and there was no trace of him. Even Hinata’s Byakugan couldn’t find him.” Temari answered from behind Gaara.
“Brother what is this about, ever since we walked into that little brat that follows Naruto around like a love sick puppy, you have been almost obsessive?” Temari asked as the two Konoha Kunoichi left. Temari laid a hand on her younger brother’s shoulder, “Does it have something to do with the Hy�ga girl?”
“No, um yes, maybe I don’t know, we are so similar to each other we could be mirror images of each other, if it wasn’t for him you would never have put your hand on my shoulder and I would still be alone. Gaara said a small smile on his face as Temari tightened her grip just slightly. “What about you Temari, you almost raced off looking for Naruto?” Gaara asked looking over his right shoulder to look at his older sister who was fighting to hide the slight blush on her face.
“Shut up Gaara. Come on let’s get back to the hotel.”
Midnight, Hidden Root Laboratory
“Lord Danz� nothing I try is working, that boy is impossible to hypnotize with normal methods.” The hypnotist said as he looked over his shoulder at the glaring red eyed snarling blonde.
“I knew it would not work but it has done its job the demon’s chakra is beginning to take control, it is beginning to suppress the boy’s own chakra.” Danz� said as he watched the doctor again inject Naruto with another dose of a conscious numbing cocktail of drugs.
“Sir if you knew my methods would not work, then why use them at all?”
“Because to ensnare and hypnotize the demon and turn him into my weapon. I needed to weaken its host mentally, emotionally and physically. Which is exactly what I did, I substituted his J�nin teacher, I enabled and enacted the plan to kidnap the Hy�ga heiress, and I chained him like an animal. I did all this to put the boy in a position to be overcome by the Nine Tails.” Danz� said before pushing past the shocked hypnotist and entered the cell that held the chained and bound Naruto and Kakashi. As he walked towards the bound duo he began unwind the bandages that were wrapped around half of his face.
Kakashi snarled as he saw the right eye of Danz� that was uncovered. “That’s Shisui’s Sharingan how the fuck did you get that.” Kakashi shouted thrashing around trying to break free of his chains.
“Easy I killed him and unfortunately was only able to take one of his eyes, no thanks to that meddling Itachi.” Danz� snarled as he purposefully strode towards the dangling Naruto. He grabbed Naruto by the hair and yanked his head up so that he was looking into the blonde’s clouded eyes. “Hmm not quite ready yet are you demon?” he said shoving Naruto back as hard as he could. Naruto’s head slammed into the brick wall of the cell.
  A sickening crack could be heard as Naruto’s skull was cracked and fresh blood began to dye his hair crimson. As Naruto continued to dangle an orange mist began to swirl around him.
“Naruto stop calm down.” Kakashi called out again thrashing against his chains.
“It’s not going to work Kakashi the brat’s consciousness is so clouded he isn’t even capable of feeling pain. And he has no chance of resisting the demon from taking control of him.” Danz� said as he watched the mist take form around the bound Naruto.
Dangling in front of Danz� was Naruto in a single tailed chakra cloak. “Good, good now look at me demon.” Danz� ordered grabbing the bound Naruto’s hair and yanking his head up so that he could stare into Naruto’s eyes. “You will obey me, you are my weapon, you are my tool to carry out my will, and your life belongs to me demon.” Danz� said holding Naruto’s head so that he was staring into the spinning Sharingan.
Danz� let go of Naruto’s hair letting the boy’s head to hang down. “Who do you serve demon?”
“I serve Danz�, I am his weapon, I am his tool to use as he sees fit.” A hypnotized Naruto answered in a dull monotone.
“Good now take control of the boy’s body and show me your power.” Danz� ordered stepping back from the bound boy. Instantly four more tails burst forth from the cloak. Two tails rushed up to break the chains that held him. Breaking the chains the possessed Naruto fell to the floor landing on all fours.
On all fours the possessed and hypnotized Naruto roared a chilling, blood freezing roar of hate and rage that shook the very foundations of Konoha. The enraged roar could be heard all across the Village Hidden in the Leaves.
All across Konoha
In the apartment complex where Naruto usually lived a midnight blue haired woman, a black haired woman and a red haired woman looked around as the heard a blood freezing roar that chilled the red haired woman to her bones. “What was that?” she asked the black haired woman sitting across from her.
“That was Naruto I’m sure. The last time I heard that was during the border skirmishes.” Haku said as Hinata walked into the dining room.
“Haku you heard that too?” Hinata asked taking a seat next to the black haired Kunoichi.
“Yes I think the whole village heard it. I wonder what’s happening to him to cause this.” Haku replied looking up at the roof.
In a hotel room not far from the arena where the third Ch�nin exam will be held a blonde woman bolted awake as the blood freezing roar echoed throughout the village. ‘What was that?’ she thought as she sat up and looked around her room for the thing that caused her to be bolted awake.
Getting up she donned a white robe and walked out of her room into the central common room that were connected to the bedrooms of her brothers and squad leader Baki. The door across from her opened and Gaara walked into the room. He stopped in his tracks as he looked up to see her standing in the doorway of her room.
“You heard it to sister?” Gaara asked her.
“Heard what? All I remember was waking up suddenly.” She replied in confusion as she watched Gaara sit down on one of the chairs next to the window motioning for her to sit in the other.
He waited for her to sit down before he answered. “What woke you up was Naruto. To be precise the enraged roar of his tailed beast.” Gaara said as he looked out the window and scanned the village rooftops.
On a street walking back to their homes was a pair of blonde and pink haired Kunoichi. Together they looked up to the night sky as Naruto’s Nine Tails enraged roar swept across the village.
“What the hell was that?” Ino asked shivering from the blood freezing effect of the roar.
“I don’t know.” Sakura lied as her mind thought of what could be causing Naruto to be this way and if it had anything to do with her or Squad Seven.
“Hey Ino have noticed anything different about Kakashi sensei?” she asked trying figure out the puzzle in front of her.
“Yeah now that you mention it, he’s been much more serious than before and he’s never overly late. I thought you said he was always late like hours late?” Ino said as they continued to walk home.
“Yeah that’s the thing at the prelims he didn’t seem that he cared at all and he barely talks to us now except for missions. He’s been like this since a few days after we got back from the border skirmishes.” Sakura said as she thought back to when Kakashi let the medics take Sasuke away after he used the Curse Mark in his prelim fight with Kabuto.
At his desk in the Hokage’s office, the Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi was startled by the enraged roar of Naruto.
‘Don’t tell me the Seal has been broken.’ He thought as he grabbed his scrying orb and searched for Naruto without success.
“Cat get in here now!” he shouted as panic began to form in the pit of his stomach.
“Sir what is it?” Cat said as she appeared instantly in front of him.
“Get your team and search for Naruto and have someone summon Shikaku Nara and Kakashi Hatake. Tell them to bring those two here to me.” Hiruzen ordered.
Cat bowed and in another burst of smoke was gone.

Root’s Hidden Prison: The Torture Cells
‘Excellent, Excellent nobody will defy me now I have this weapon.’ Danz� thought as he felt the power of the Nine Tails being emitted from the cloaked Naruto.
“F�, Torune get in here. Torune take him to his new cell. F� use your clan’s techniques to wipe his memory so I can have a team plant him back in his apartment later.” Danz� ordered pointing at the cloaked Naruto then at the dangling Kakashi. He slipped a sheet of paper out of his pocket and slapped it on Naruto’s forehead.
Instantly the chakra cloak around Naruto dissipated his eyes rolling back in his head as he fell face down unconscious. The masked Torune stepped forward and picked up the limp body of Naruto and hoisted him up onto his shoulders.
Danz� walked out of the cell with Torune behind him. He led the masked ninja down the long hallway to another large cell. “In here Torune put him in here.”
Torune entered the cell and unceremoniously dumped the unconscious Naruto on the cold hard stone floor before backing out of the cell. “How long before he is healed and ready to serve Lord Danz�?” he asked as Danz� shut the cell door and placed a barrier seal on it.
“That suppression seal should have him unconscious for the next two days and from the boy’s full ninja file his healing capacity is twenty times better than normal. So two days should be enough for him to heal. Besides I have an urgent mission for him to complete which you and F� will oversee.” Danz� said as he finished placing the barrier seal on Naruto’s new cell.
“You already have a mission for him?” Torune asked surprise breaking through his stoic visage.
“Yes and I will inform you and F� later when he is finished with Kakashi, now return to him and send for me when F� has completed his work.” Danz� said before walking off.
Naruto’s Kurama possessed blood red eyes fluttered open as he clawed his way from the sea of darkness that was unconsciousness.
“Finally awake Demon Brat?” a voice said from behind him.
“Where am I?” Naruto’s Kurama possessed voice snarled as he pushed himself onto his hands and knees.
“Where you belong Demon; as my master’s weapon.”
“I am no one’s property; no one uses me as their puppet.” Naruto snarled getting up and spinning to face the masked ninja standing behind the bars of his cell.
“You belong to me; you are my weapon, my tool.” Danz� shouted stepping up to the bars of the cell removing the bandages that covered his Sharingan.
“I serve Danz�; I am your weapon, your tool.” Naruto said kneeling on the floor.
“Good now get up I have a mission for you.” Danz� ordered as he opened the door to the cell letting a masked woman walk into the cell carrying a bundle of clothes. “I can’t have my weapon going on missions in rags.” He finished as the woman passed the clothes to Naruto and backed out of the cell.
Naruto dressed in the clothes provided. First on was a sleeveless shirt of tight fitting black leather and tight fitting black pants. Next was a short sleeved shirt and full length greaves of fishnet scale armour. This was covered by a black sleeveless jacket, black pants, and a pair of black fingerless combat gloves with steel plate guards on the back of the hand and finishing the get up were a pair of black combat sandals.
“And for the final touch you’ll need this.” Danz� said throwing a white fox mask at Naruto who caught the mask and put it on. As soon as Naruto put on the mask his hair instantly changed style to become short and spikey (Like in The Last) as well as changed colour to pitch black. “Much better, now follow me and I’ll give you your mission.” Danz� said walking down the corridor with Naruto following behind. They walked past two masked men who fell into line behind Danz� as he passed them. “These two are F� and Torune they will observe you on this mission. Your mission is an assassination mission; your targets are the eldest daughter of the Feudal Lord of the Land of Fire and her Betrothed the second son of the Feudal Lord of the Land of Forests (Land where Kusagakure, (The Hidden Grass Village) is) before they are wed in seven days.” Danz� explained as he continued to walk along the corridor. “Now follow them they have prepared for this mission. Do not fail me Demon Fox.”
Naruto followed the two masked ninja as they grabbed their gear. “Your targets are guarded by both foreign ninja as well as some of the Land of Fire’s Guardian Shinobi Twelve. You can use any means to accomplish the mission.” Torune said as he and F� lead Naruto to one of the secret entrances to the facility.
Exiting the facility they quickly head west towards the Land of Forests and their mission and Naruto followed them his mind already devising ways of slaughtering his targets.
Border Town of Land of Fire and Land of Forests
It had taken the possessed Naruto and his handlers two days to reach the border town where his targets to wed. Naruto had infiltrated the town at night and for the last two days had been studying the layout of the village as well as the movements and schedules of his two targets. Now he was sitting on the roof across from the Hotel where the Princess of the Land of Fire was staying until her wedding in two days.
‘I may as well rampage in a chakra cloak.’ Kurama thought as he watched the two members of the Guardian Shinobi Twelve assigned to the princess rotate their post as the sun began to set.
At the same time F� was psychically in contact with Danz�.
“What do you have to report?” Danz� asked as F� made contact.
“The Fox has been watching the targets for two days straight. Lord Danz� we’re a little worried you may have given him a bit too much mental freedom. He may be trying to defy your will.” F� replied over the psychic link.
“You think I should exert more control?” Danz� asked back.
“Yes he has overlooked and rejected two perfect opportunities to carry out the mission but still he sits and watches the targets without making a move to act.” F� replied.
“Touch him I’ll make him act.” Danz� ordered.
F� walked up to Naruto and placed his hand on Naruto’s shoulder including him in the psychic conversation.
“You will obey my will. You will kill all in the village. Nine Tails you are mine to control.” Danz� ordered as his Sharingan began to spin in Kurama’s consciousness.
Instantly the possessed Naruto was in a five tailed chakra cloak as Danz�’s Sharingan enhanced will superseded the Kurama’s own. As more of Danz�’s will suppressed the Nine Tails own the more power was poured into the chakra cloak until seven tails were swishing back and forth.
In a small darkened corner of his own mind Naruto screamed in agony as his mind and body was torn apart as Kurama’s own dominated mind took almost complete control. With seven tails now swishing back and forth the white mask that was covering Naruto’s face cracked and smashed into a thousand pieces releasing his golden hair. As Naruto’s chakra cloaked body began to morph into an almost fox like creature it was also being incased with a bone like exoskeleton armour covering the top of half of his body down to his waist, his hands were razor sharp dagger like claws.
The sun had now fully set when the seven tailed Kurama roared shaking the small village to its foundations. “Now destroy.” Danz� ordered.
Kurama leapt off of the roof, landing on the road below creating a crater as he landed. Instantly he raised his head high and roared again as balls of red and blue chakra swirled around his head forming a massive black ball of pure condensed chakra.
“What the fuck is he doing?” Torune asked as he and F� retreated from the village.
“He’s going to destroy the village in one shot.” F� replied as he was able to sense the power and strength of the chakra being poured into the black ball.
Bigger and bigger the ball grew until it was the size of a beach ball. Instantly it shrunk and condensed as the cloaked Kurama swallowed the ball. Kurama braced himself on all fours with his front left clawed hand fully stretched in front his right beside his head and his feet evenly spaced apart his chakra claws digging into the ground.
“Torune move he’s about to unleash that attack.” F� yelled as he sprinted for the cover of the nearby forest.
With both of them under the cover of the forest they spun around to watch Kurama unleash the concentrated chakra he had swallowed. The ball of chakra rocketed out of Kurama’s mouth like a gunshot as it raced towards the hotel where his newest victims were hiding in terror.
The ball smashed through the front veneer of the hotel, it continued to smash through walls and anything else that was unlucky enough to be caught in its path. Just before it blast through the back wall of the hotel the chakra ball exploded obliterating the hotel in an explosion of fire and pure power. The shockwaves of the explosion spread throughout the village and the surrounding forest.
Both F� and Torune were thrown from their perches as they were struck by the multiple shockwaves of the destructive Tailed Beast Bomb.
Just as the first ball exploded Kurama was already firing off another Beast Bomb. It raced through the destruction of the first ball. Just as it past the central point of the village it exploded just as powerfully as the first destroying the other half of the village in a flash of light and an explosion of raging fire.
Kurama raised his head and roared his anger and hate before firing off mini Beast bombs in multiple directions continuing to destroy what little ruins were left of the village as well as flattening and burning the surrounding forest.
F� and Torune allowed Kurama to rampage for the next couple of hours until there was no trace of the village except for ashes and burnt bones.
“Come on Torune we got to use those chakra suppressing seals that Lord Danz� gave us to control the demon.” F� yelled over the explosions caused by the rampaging Kurama. With Torune distracting a five tailed Kurama F� was able to sneak up to Kurama and slap a chakra suppressing tag onto his forehead instantly dissipating the chakra cloak and causing Kurama’s mind to recede into the darkness of unconsciousness.
“Let’s get back to Lord Danz� and report a successful mission.” F� said as he picked up the unconscious Jinch�riki.
