Ok, first of all sorry its really short. We where lucky to get this, especially considering that my other story got a new chapter tonight as well.
I had written a better (Longer) version of this chapter but after my computer battery died I lost it, so this was the best I could do with where the story needed to go from here. Hope you like it, and please don't be shy in telling me what you think. This in unbeted, so if I messed up anything major let me know and I will fix it.
Sasuke kept looking at the sky, hoping for even the faintest glimmer of gold. Finally after minutes that felt like hours he spotted Naruto. His flight was unsteady and he seemed to have a hard time keeping himself in the air.
They all moved out of the way quickly when Naruto managed to clear the ledge around the roof, but flew into the building housing the stairs. He immediately curled into himself clutching his wounded wing. The blood painting his feathers.
"Naruto!" Sasuke yelled rushing to his side. "What can I do? Tell me what to do!"
"Kiba." Naruto managed past all the pain.
"Kiba? Call Kiba?"
At Naruto's nod, Sasuke reached for his phone.
After ringing and ringing a sleepy Kiba answered.
"Hello?"
"Kiba! Naruto's been shot I don't know what to do! He said call you, so I did. But now-"
"Where was he hit?"
"Ummm….."
"Where was he hit Sasuke?"
Sasuke floundered. Did Kiba already know? Was Sasuke supposed to tell him?
"Wing." Naruto managed. At first Sasuke didn't know if that was for him of Kiba but then Kiba answered.
"Shit! Where are you?"
"The roof to the Uchiha building." Sasuke said.
"I can be there in ten minutes, Try not to let him move too much and whatever you do, don't touch the wing. He may strike out if you do. There is nothing more dangerous than an angel with a wounded wing." Kiba said then hung up.
The next eleven minute where hellacious to say the least.
They tried not to let Naruto move but after brushing ageist his wing Itachi now had a rather impressive cut on his arm from Naruto's sharp feathers and Deidara had been thrown on his back hard enough to knock the air out of him for several minutes.
When the door to the stairs finally opened they where all relived to see the man and dog walk towards them.
Sasuke was the first to approach him.
"What do we do? The bleeding wont stop and we can't keep him still."
"Don't worry, I know what to do. But you aren't gonna like it. We need to get the shot out of his wing."
"And how do you propose we do that? We barely even touched the end of the wing and got thrown like rag dolls." Itachi said, Deidara tying a rag from his jacket around the cut on his arm.
"That's the part you wont like. It will only take a few minutes for him to heal him self so long as nothings in the wound. But I need one of you to hold the win while I dig out the slug."
"He was hit with a shotgun. There's not going to be a slug." Itachi said.
"Damn it. That makes things harder but its still the same. We have to get the wound clear before anything else can happen. Akamaru will hold the base of the wing, I need one of you to hold the other side of the joint and straiten it out." Kiba said taking a gun out of his belt.
Without hesitation he fired a shot at Naruto's head. The resulting bang was early drowned out by Itachi's yells, and Sasuke screaming. Akamaru instantly went and with teeth and massive paws grabbed the base of the wing.
"Hurry. We need to get this wing fixed before he wakes up."
"He wont wake up you shot him in the head!" Sasuke screeched.
"He's an angel for god's sakes! You think a little thing like a head shot would kill him? Hell wake up in a few minutes and I would rather not have his wounded wing in my hands when he does. Now hurry!" he barked.
Sasuke, still slightly numb, took hold of the tip of the wing and pulled it out. Kiba got to work digging the pellets out of the mass of feathers. He was gust getting the last one out when Naruto started to stir.
The last thing Sasuke remembered what the unearthly roar of pain from Naruto. Then the wing in his hand lashed out knocking him clear, his head ringing as it struck the side of the building housing the stairs.
Aren't I evil? Let me know how much you wanna know what happens and I might be able to get another chapter sooner. ^_^
