/Recap/
“Where the hell did you get a bat from?” Naruto exclaimed as he stood up, clutching his arm and making sure to give Karin a generous kick in the side.
“Does it matter? She threw it at me. Just run or teleport us. Just now cause bitches like her… they stay crazy!” Deidara said frantically. He needed the other blonde to understand that he was missing a night full of trolling young teenagers in online gaming to take care of this shit. He didn’t sign up for all this extra and if Naruto didn’t Houdini them quickly, that redheaded terror was definitely coming back.
“Yeah, okay, your right,” Naruto nodded dumbly. He didn’t mind running when it came to Karin because try as he might, it was kind of hard to kill that level of crazy. ‘Bet you Ebisu told her I’m still alive,’ he thought bitterly to himself as he opened up a portal large enough for Deidara and him to slip into.
“Oh no sweetheart. We aren’t going anywhere,” Karin purred ominously. She cracking her neck that was set at an odd angle, rose up and pulled out ‘Big Bertha’. It was the name of her large cordless power saw and it was just the devil’s luck that both him and Deidara dove inside whole before he was scalped.
Chapter Nine: Never Put a Demon in a Bathtub
Sasuke woke up with a start at the muffled swears and the soft, low chuckles coming from his bathroom. Instinctively he drew closer to the protective warmth of his Guardian’s doppelganger. His clipped nails dug reflexively into the hard planes of the copy’s abdomen even as he buried his face against the blonde’s side as if he could simply melt into the fiend’s very shadow.
The small Uchiha hadn’t appreciated being left behind with a mere copy of his Guardian. Sure, he had been chilled at the idea that his Guardian had flippantly talked about killing someone when the mere discussion of death had the blonde warring against the pros and cons as if he was internally always on the fence. But the raven had broached the subject of ‘death’ and he was determined to see every beautifully ugly facet of his demon. He wanted them to truly be partners; where his enemies were their enemies and vice versa. However, it was very clear that Naruto didn’t see him that way yet, because he was still a mere child.
Sasuke had spent a good hour and a half pouting and glaring at the doppelganger in the darkness of their shared room. ‘It’ might have had the same mannerisms and appearance; everything replicated perfectly from the blonde’s extensive scars to even the small mole on Naruto’s left hip. But his heart and the ‘Demon’s Proposal’ knew that this wasn’t the real McCoy no matter how long he stared at him. It was just something about the doppelganger that was just off; as if he was just a beat too slow. This body was more cautious, as if trying to respect their boundaries while the real thing would have drawn Sasuke closer and violated his space just because he could.
His Naruto also snored like a demented chainsaw or someone possessed. The graceful way he moved in the waking world was completely lost in his sleep as he’d sprawl out sometime in the middle of the night. His grip no longer clenched possessively around his charge as his body took up most of the bed, drooling happily while Sasuke migrated and snuggled up on top of him. This clone, however, seemed to make it a point to stay strictly on its’ side; it curled in on itself as if to make itself as small and insignificant as possible to avoid Sasuke’s further scrutiny. His back was a wall of indifference when, even entangled in sheets, some part of the original Naruto made sure to cover his human master with his shadow tail, arm or even a leg or two.
Sasuke had fought to stay awake, his anxiety only slightly assuaged by the doppelganger radiating heat like a tiny furnace and the cool feel of the shadow tail curling protectively around him once he dragged it over to blanket his body. But as aforementioned, it wasn’t long before fatigue had dragged him reluctantly to sleep until just this very moment. He clung to the copy like a limpet even as the doppelganger rolled around to face him. Amber eyes seemed to glow in the dark as they popped open and looked questioningly first at Sasuke than at the closed bathroom door. The shadowed tailed tightened instinctively around his slender frame, ready to push the small Uchiha away from the danger.
Then, before Sasuke could say anything, the doppelganger nodded his head in understanding before moving. He untangled himself from the protesting Sasuke, got out of bed, locked the bedroom door, purposely knocked over two teddy bears around the bedroom and then suddenly dissipated in an audible pop of white smoke.
“No!” Ssauke gasped out bemused and completely wrecked. His panic was cloying as he realized there was no one there to protect him. He could call for his brother, who was only a few doors down; but what was to stop the thing inside his bathroom from getting to him before he even unlocked the door? ‘Why did he lock the door?’ he thought. The ten-year old shook, limbs stiff and reluctant to draw from the flimsy safety and warmth of his comforter to venture out, until he suddenly recognized the voice.
“Naruto?” he called out cautiously. He bit down on his bottom lip, unsure of himself. He began to wonder if his Guardian’s clone would have disappeared like that if he was truly in danger. Emboldened he ventured out of his bed and padded barefoot towards the bathroom. He gasped softly as he realized, upon opening the door and adjusting to the bathroom’s light, that there was a bloody handprint on the door and bloody footprints leading to his very naked Guardian.
Quickly Sasuke cast his eyes downward in embarrassment, pale cheeks flushing pink at just the mere memory of seeing those broad shoulders, lean sinewy back and tapered waist. Not to mention the dimples just above the demon’s firm, round ass and his powerfully thick thighs. He silently thanked whatever deity was out there that he wasn’t given a frontal view, because he didn’t think his poor heart could see that much of his demon at his age. His emotions were already overwhelmed without the added stimulus.
“Wh… What happened to you?” he squeaked out. Then cleared his throat and asked again, after hearing the sloshing noise of his demon settling into the bathtub of warm, soapy water. He looked bashfully upward, glad that his Guardian looked somewhat decent in his indecency. Blonde hair tousled, bare back reclined backwards, just the barest hint of abs seen above the frothy bubbles, arms bracketing the tub, and a bare leg hooked over the side. It was untamed, scarred and mouthwatering wildness bottled in an antique, clawed bathtub. But the more he took in the sight of his demon, the more concern and anger he felt. “And what’s he doing here?” he snapped bitterly, noticing for the first time that they weren’t alone.
Naruto looked like a bloody mess once Sasuke pushed the nudity issue aside for the moment. It looked as if the fiend had just finished a barehanded fight with a ferocious tiger and barely won since he was technically still alive. There were bloody, smeared handprints on the tub from where Naruto had braced himself before settling inside the porcelain interior. There was blood from a cut above his left temple that diverged around his eyebrow to tickle down his strong jawline. There were more minor cuts and bruises littered over older ones; but it was his right arm that was barely attached to his shoulder that caused the most concern. Bone cut cleanly through, Deidara shouldered most of the arm’s weight by helping to ease the burden of the few tendons and piece of skin that was still left to bridge arm to shoulder.
Sasuke felt so stupid. Standing there barefoot in his Power Rangers pajama bottoms and top, he felt like the biggest, most useless fool because he didn’t know what was going on or what to do. Here his Guardian was, bleeding in front of him, needing his ex to help him stay literally ‘fucking together’ and all he could do was complain, fist his hand in his pajama top and fight back a pained whine.
Maybe if he was there… If Naruto had thought him strong enough… But of course, he wasn’t. He was only ten. If Naruto had barely made it through whatever he went through with a seemingly experienced demon with him. What use was a useless child, who had known no hardship other than the denial of his father’s love and attention? He wouldn’t have survived that. Whatever that was. Not like Deidara obviously had.
He wanted to smack that smug look off Deidara’s face. He knew he was small; that he was weak and utterly human, but that didn’t give the long-haired blonde the right to smile indulgently at him. Slapping was too ‘nice’, Sasuke wanted to tear his clipped fingernails into that flesh so that Deidara could look just as bloody as his Naruto did. ‘Why the hell isn’t he just as bruised?’ he thought, angrily.
“I don’t like him touching you,” he seethed, suddenly at Naruto’s side. He knew he was being selfish. Knew in the back of his mind the long-haired blonde was there to help, but he had to protect what was his. Not this interloper.
Sasuke wasted no time in closing the distance between himself and his Guardian. His clothed arms cradled Naruto’s head. He hugged it against his thin frame while glaring at the amused, bespectacled, blonde demon. “You’re not needed anymore. I’m here now,” Sasuke insisted, pouting angrily. If it wasn’t for the fact that he needed to hug some part of Naruto right now to reassure himself that his demon was okay, then he’d round the bathtub right now and shove the blonde as hard as he could. “Leave!”
“Easy now, my sweet boy. I’m here. I’m okay,” Naruto tried to soothe. His one good arm moved so he could awkwardly run blood-stained fingers through the raven’s downy hair. The demon wanted to deny that Sasuke’s possessiveness, albeit dangerous considering the company, left him with a heart-warming feeling. Sasuke was in deep. He was in deep and all it did was make Naruto smile slyly at the honest look of bafflement on Deidara’s face.
“Fuck the whole ‘Guardian Angels’ bullshit the government has been fooling the populace with. He does realize we are actual demons, right? The whole soul sucking, teeth and claws rending variety. The ones that can go all ‘rawr’ at a moment’s notice, un?” Deidara had leaned closer to Naruto to whisper this in his ear in a tone loud enough that even the scowling Uchiha could hear and scowl harder, if possible, over the mop of blonde hair.
Deidara couldn’t honestly see the kid as a threat. Sasuke was a slip of a thing and only reminded him of one of those annoyingly cute, yipping dogs that like to talk all big; but cowered in fear with their tails between their legs when a true threat called them on their bull.
Deidara had honestly done Naruto a favor by going with him in the first place and was staying now to make sure Naruto didn’t have to deal with the pain of growing a whole damn arm back if this one had fully come detached. It honestly took a lot of time and souls to regrow limbs, and that was when Deidara had lost a hand, not just an arm. They were lucky it was only just an arm. Karin had been truly relentless in her pursuit of Naruto.
FLASHBACK
Naruto and Deidara had thought they would lose Karin by diving into the shadow realm. So, the moment he summoned a sizeable enough portal, Naruto had shoved himself bodily against Deidara, so that they would tumble into the space between the human world and the demon world. It was a realm devoid of light and sound, except for the glowing orbs that bobbed like fat, lazy fireflies at uneven intervals in the inky dark abyss. The closest orb to them, barely lit their flesh, casting them in varying shades of muddy grays and black.
Their harsh breaths pierced holes through the deafening wet blanket of silence that threatened to smother them and their senses. Quickly they scrambled to stand up from the heap that they had fallen into. Sweaty, blood-stained hands desperately grasped at one another as if trying to anchor themselves to reality, even as Naruto noticed that something was horribly wrong in the nothingness that was this realm.
He tried once more to stand, one knee braced to pull up the rest of his body, while both hands were grasped by an anxious Deidara. But something or more than likely someone anchored him to the ground with ten fiery points of pain that tightened their hold when he tried to pull away. He turned his head, swearing as he saw the glint of glasses and a toothy grin reflected by the weak light.
Karin was here.
Somehow the crazy bitch had slipped in like a slippery eel before either Deidara or Naruto could do anything. Her red nails were like talons in the meat of his thigh as she dragged herself bodily through just as the portal before it could cut her in two. Naruto immediately swiveled around and kicked in the general direction of her face. His red-rimmed eyes narrowed in determination as he continued to kick until he heard a wet squelching crunch and the Shinigami’s grip loosening.
Naruto was up like a shot, white teeth bared and eyes now straining to see where she had gone in the murky darkness. Very little could survive in this oppressing nothingness and he wanted to strongly deter Karin follow him back home to a vulnerable Sasuke. So when he saw Karin moaning in displeasure as she forced her broken nose into alignment before spitting out a few bloody teeth and popping her shoulder back into its socket. He knew he was in for a long night.
Deidara, thankfully, barely registered on her radar as she quickly stood up and materialized her twin scythes. She spun them like they were innocent cheerleading batons or pinwheels and not the weapons of Death and Destruction that ripped souls from bodies.
“That fucking hurt Kyuu-Kyuu,” she pouted, batting her eyes and wiggling her hips. “Just be glad I’m the type of girl that likes it rough,” she continued to gush. Then darted forward with deadly intent before Naruto could fully draw out his sword from the shadows.
Her smile was just as sharp as her scythes, if missing a few molars as she made the first of many swipes. It was clear she was prepared to slice and dice Naruto into pulpy chunks that she could love on later. Her body contorting backwards, bending unnaturally as she dodged a shadow tail meant to ripped a bloody hole right through her throat. Before she side flipped around and cutting a slender sliver across Naruto’s side.
“Yummy,” she purred, licking the blood off her twin scythes.
It was so ridiculous and chaotic, their deadly dance, that Deidara couldn’t cut in even if he wanted to for fear of accidentally harming Naruto in the all-consuming darkness. He just gave them enough space in which to move in without injuring himself in their chaotic pull. Their shadowed bodies writhing together in violent mockery of the sexual acts they once indulged in more than a lifetime ago.
END FLASHBACK
It took almost a damn hour to lose her and that was only because a bloody and greatly injured Naruto finally thought of attaching miniature shadow portals to Karin to send her arms, torso and legs to the far reaches of the world before leaving her head buried in a sand dune in Mumbai.
Deidara was wearing Karin’s red rimmed glasses right now as a souvenir for his trouble. He didn’t honestly need glasses; they were just a cool accessory to make him look smarter. But it was clear looking through Karin’s spectacles that she and probably all the Shinigami were as blind as bats without theirs. It must be Mr. Magoo level blindness because he felt like he could see every cell desperately trying to hold together against Naruto’s shredded arm without the aid of a powerful microscope.
It was kind of kick ass, especially if stealing the glasses would delay Karin in pursuing them. Cause here was the kicker, neither humans nor demons could kill Agents of Death. They were semi-immortal because they represented Death and Death couldn’t die. It could only be maimed and deterred, which they did their best to do that night.
She’d be back. Karin was too obsessed with Naruto to let a little dismemberment and the fact that he had multiple past lovers, including Deidara himself, get in between finally breaking Naruto and force him to admit he was finally hers. It was honestly fucked up and he, personally, didn’t need this shit right now. He was tired, hungry and a bit cranky. So, he took out his frustration on Sasuke because he should be thanked instead of bitched at.
“That if I wanted to, I could tear him a new one.” Deidara continued a bit more menacingly. He then gently rested Naruto’s arm against the tub’s narrow lip to stand up to his full height. His blue eyes glowed ominously behind the glasses. His clothed front was soaked and crusted over with a combination of three different people’s blood, including his own. He looked as if he was honestly going to attack the small meat puppet; but instead skipped to the side when his cantankerous friend in the tub made a swipe at him with his shadow tail.
“Do it and I’ll eat you,” Naruto growled out matter-of-factly. Half his face was still squished against Sasuke’s bony chest because the Uchiha still refused to stop hugging his head. But the glare he shot his friend could and had made some of the hardest criminals’ soil themselves in fear of his potential wrath.
“I thought you were on a Sasuke only diet, un,” Deidara said with a cheeky smile and a playful wink. Deidara didn’t know how Naruto did it. Maybe it was the image of the squished faced, naked demon threatening him in a bathtub. Or the fact that he could still recall with a shiver and a fond smile, how being eaten was a reward and not a punishment. Whatever it was, the long-haired blonde felt somehow lighter and playful suddenly.
“Leave smart ass, before I rip out that pretty little tongue of yours.” Naruto threatened once more. But couldn’t help being amused at his old comrade and lover. “Besides, what would your boyfriend think? Sasori, right?”
“I’m more than sure Sasori would be all for being eaten by you too. You do have quite a large appetite if I remember correctly,” Deidara cooed, smiling lasciviously. He knew, with a cursory glance, that what he was saying went over the poor Uchiha’s head for the most part by the way the child’s petulant scowl deepened.
Sasuke was sure to understand when he was older if he planned to ‘keep’ Naruto. But honestly who could blame Deidara for teasing the child when he got a bigger reaction from Sasuke than he could ever get with the ‘always see the glass half full’ Minato. Maybe he was a big bully that way, enjoying riling up the Uchiha like he did, but he owned it because it was funny as hell. But for now, he had his fill of teasing the poor child as he became serious for just a moment. “But seriously, are you sure you’re okay? Karin did a number on you and I don’t want little ‘Mike n Ike’ over there to be devoured whole because your appetite got the better of you.”
“It’s okay asshole. Go pester Sasori or something. We’ll catch up later.” Naruto said with dismissive fondness, before he tried to gently pry Sasuke’s arms, one-handedly from his head.
“Un,” Deidara said noncommittedly. He then looked down at his sorry state and cursed softly at his ruined clothes. He had liked that graphic t-shirt, so why the hell did he bring it to a slaughter? He honestly didn’t know, so he just fished out a lollipop from his pocket to suck on before he silently left out of the bathroom door with a careless wave.
He wouldn’t exit out of the house the normal ways, there was too much risk, too many questions if he were found. “Naruto could you?” he asked over his shoulder. Thankful when a portal appeared in front of him to take him home. Deidra quickly stepped within the dark confines of the shadow realm before it closed. Then hoped against hope that there wasn’t a vengeful piece of Karin still lurking about in the darkness.
BACK INSIDE THE BATHROOM
There was a long pause between Deidara’s last words and his eventual departure. Sasuke was sorely tempted to peek inside his room to make sure that his new nemesis had truly left. But he didn’t want to risk leaving Naruto alone if each time he did he came out bloody and bruised. There might not be any correlation between Sasuke being away from Naruto for long periods of times and the blonde’s injuries; but it was too much of a coincidence to simply ignore either.
“I should have come with you,” Sasuke finally muttered under his breath. He might not be able to provide any sort of actual backup. But he felt assured that maybe his mere presence could have kept Naruto safe.
“No Poppet, my sweet boy, you shouldn’t. You were safer here with my doppelganger than if Karin had encountered you. She doesn’t like the idea of someone else, but her own self, garnering my attention. She’d have killed you quicker than we could even open our mouths to reason with her,” Naruto said, trying to sound reassuring as possible. He didn’t want another second spared to that demented bitch if it could be helped.
“What happened,” Sasuke pushed, after licking suddenly dry lips. He needed to know. He knew. But he wanted to hear the words from Naruto before just assuming, especially after the bloody outcome.
“We killed him and anyone that was in the house with him. I told you I would, and I did. Made sure it was as excruciating as I could make it. No one messes with what I consider mines and gets away with it,” the blonde said firmly. He finally pried Sasuke’s arms from around his head so that he could look at the child properly. Warm lips pressed against the pulse mark of each of Sasuke’s wrists when it looked like the Uchiha would complain at the loss of contact, before he absently took up one hand to run his thumb along the child’s knuckles.
“He was mines before, just as much as you are mine now. I was overconfident after I cleaned up my end of things at Danzo’s. You’re sure to hear news of my escapades on the news; although I doubt if anyone can trace it to me. But as I was leaving the house I ran into a little trouble with an ex of sorts.” Naruto grumbled bitterly even as he leaned forward to add more hot water to the tub.
“An ex? Was Karin your ex?” Dove gray eyes narrowed with his jealousy and chagrin. He had held his tongue up to this point. His body already trembling with quiet anger as he put Sasuke in the same category of ‘mines’ as he did Minato. He hated Minato for the pure fact that the blonde had had Naruto first. They were not even Master and ‘Guardian’ and yet here was his demon, fighting to avenge a past love. What about Sasuke?
How could he ever surpass the history that Minato and Naruto shared? Their relationship was so raw and new and he was too inexperienced and insecure to truly believe that Naruto would have been so willing to risk everything and slaughter just for him. quickly snatched his hand away, not caring that if Naruto wanted to, he could stay his action with no problem at all. His pink lips tighten in a pout at the mere thought of his demon touching or wanting anyone else, but the youngest Uchiha. It didn’t matter if these past lovers were there before even his mother was even born. Once an Uchiha’s, always an Uchiha’s. Past. Present. Future.
“Don’t give me that look Sasuke. If it was up to me that crazy bitch would be dead. Karin really tried to sever my arm this time. I thought I lost her when I dove into the shadow realm with Deidara. But nope, there was 98 pounds of pure psycho-loving, ready to pounce at a moment’s notice. Said she wanted part of me to snuggle up against at night since I won’t sleep with her. Like hell either of that’s happening.”
Naruto practically growled the last bit, he was so riled up at the mere thought of her. He didn’t want Sasuke to feel that he was purposely seeking out his exes. She was supposed to be a mere fling and yet she had built a mountain out of a molehill with a relationship that would never exist between the two of them. That was why he had hoped to push thoughts of her aside for the moment; but he couldn’t tell Sasuke what happened without including the main reason for his injuries.
Sasuke had quietly listened to his Guardian’s rant even as he moved purposely away to retrieve the first aid kit from the storage cabinet under the sink. He needed something to do. Something to keep his hands and his mind occupied from thoughts of jealously, betrayal and anger at his Guardian. He knew a little bit about first aide because things like this was what was taught in his Summoner’s class. But even as he wrapped his fingers around the gauzy bandage, Naruto halted him.
“I won’t need those things in an hour or two Poppet. You know demons heal faster than humans do,” Naruto insisted. He then tried to carefully ease forward to let out the water in the tub, knowing he would need more clean water to wash the grime and blood from his exhausted body.
He watched patiently as the last dredges of the murky brownish water drained away before he one-handedly stoppered the tub again and added more clean water into the tub. He would probably have to do this one more time before he felt genuinely clean, especially considering he hadn’t had time to actually run soap over his exhausted body because he was too busy being possessively held while mediating between Sasuke and Deidara. So now, he purposely reached for the spongey loofah, preparing to scrub away his grime and cares the best he could without dislodging his arm from his shoulder. His fanged teeth dug into his flesh bottom lip at the shooting pain that those movements had caused.
“You still might get an infection while it’s healing,” Sasuke said tersely. He quickly snatched up a bottle of peroxide, waiting for his demon to add the water he needed to properly wash himself before he walked back to the blonde’s side and opened the bottle.
“You’re a little too young for us to play doctor,” the blonde said jokingly. He stop scrubbing the last flecks of dried blood on his chest to lean backwards against the cool hardness of the tub, slid his eyes close sliding close as he tilted his head backwards.
Sasuke smacked Naruto’s shoulder, barely flinching when the red rimmed eyes of the demon narrowed at him dangerously, showing the predator lurking behind the amber gaze. The blonde showed his sharp, fanged teeth in warning in case his little master didn’t understand fully that he didn’t want to be pushed. All Sasuke did in retaliation was to lean his forehead up against Naruto’s before letting out a deep sigh. “Every time you walk out a door and away from me… I’m afraid it will be the last time I see you again and I hate it. I h… hate feeling this way,” Sasuke hiccupped, trying his best to fight back his tears. He hated to cry, especially in front of someone he wanted to convince he was strong, but
“Shh, Poppet, shhh,” Naruto cooed, his irritation instantly vanishing. He drew soapy arms around the fragile human before pressing warm lips against Sasuke’s forehead. “You aren’t the only one who is afraid of leaving. Remember, the last time I left my master too long and he died because I wasn’t there. I never want to see what I saw on that Death Note, happen to you. I won’t lose another precious person and you are my precious person because of this,” he moved his lips to brush teasingly across the mating mark. “You saved me by giving yourself completely to me. So don’t think you’re alone in this.”
“D… Do it. Bite me,” Sasuke breathed, his fingers digging small crescents into Naruto’s uninjured arm. He melted against Sasuke, shivering, thrilled at the sweet innocent of his master.
“You are such a sacrificial lamb to offer yourself so willingly to the wolves. I’m so tempted to nibble on you before swallowing you whole; but then afterwards what will be left Poppet? I want my little lamb intact so I can draw out this maddening taste,” he purred out darkly even as he teased a fanged tooth along the ink petal on his neck. His hand splayed possessively over the young ones back so that he would not immediately pull away at the appearance of rejection.
“Naruto…” Sasuke let out a hiccupping sigh. He felt both figuratively and literally stuck. Was it so naïve of him to want something that was his to trust him whole-heartedly?
“I don’t like you seeing me this vulnerable and weak. But if I had to have someone see me in this state than I’m glad it’s you, okay?” He wanted to cup Sasuke’s cheek or run his fingers through the boy’s hair, but was afraid to sully him further. “You are mine and I don’t know why but I really don’t like that you are really going to except these sins of mines. I’m covered in them. Not just the ones that will be revealed sometime soon… I’m so filthy with them I’ll never be clean.
“Then I want to be dirty too,” Sasuke said without hesitation. His teeth bared in a snarl, dove gray eyes dark and blazing with determination.
“Kiss me,” Naruto demanded suddenly.
“Wai…What?!” squeaked Sasuke, completely thrown. He would have taken a step back if it wasn’t for Naruto’s grip tightening around the back of his pajama top. He hadn’t expected something like this when they were having such a serious moment and his ‘Guardian Angel’ was so greatly injured. But even as his heart thudded rapidly at the thought of this fiend kissing him again, he couldn’t say that he was very much oppose as he allowed the silence to yawn between them.

“On my forehead, I’m still a bit hungry,” Naruto said, smiling cheekily at the child, daring him to refuse a simple request.
He tilted his head back and waited for cool lips to settle on his forehead. Then the blonde tilted his head further back to press his own lips against that succulent white column of his neck “Kami, but it only wet my appetite for more!.” he rumbled out low, sending a shiver down the human’s spine. Then forced his head away from the young human. “We’re going to ruin each other one day, but not today.”
“W… Why don’t you e… erase your scars?” Sasuke stuttered out, tongue sticking to the roof at his mouth at the intermingling of fear and excitement that thrummed through his veins knowing that if it was anyone else, this controlled fiend would have indulged themselves to their hearts content, especially with such an injury. But he held himself back because of him. So he pushed on, wanting to help in any way he can. “You need the energy they’ll give you and you have no reason to remember your pass owners now that you have me. This is your last life, I want you to only think of me,” he insisted.
“You’re such a smart child, Sasuke. But even as he said this, he couldn’t help letting go of the boy in order to trace a few scars with his callous fingers. They and his hatred for his old masters and mistresses had been so engrained into his very identity that he had made sure they and their growing scar brethren laid intact for when he was reborn again and his world rest, that he always knew the evils of man.
It was with a sigh of finality that bits of Naruto’s skin began to glow, where the scars had been. It wasn’t all of them, but it was a sizeable amount that Naruto later ran his calloused fingers across the smooth, honeyed tan expanse of bare flesh with the sweet taste of their excruciating deaths, as he sought his revenge, on his tongue. “Thank you for the meal,” he purred, drawing Sasuke’s hands up to kiss his bare knuckles with his freshly attached limb.
“J… Just get yourself clean and come to bed. It’s not the same without you in it,” Sasuke said petulantly, hiding how flustered he was about the whole matter. He allowed Naruto’s lips to linger a moment longer on his skin, before he pulled his hands away and left the bathroom. A nervous glance behind him, to reassure him that his possession wouldn’t leave him high and dry again before he tucked himself in bed again.
He listened to the soft sloshing noises of the water as Naruto finished bathing himself. The sound nearly lulling him back to sleep. But he kept his eyes stubbornly open, his eyes focused determinedly on the small gap in the bathroom door where he saw his ‘Guardian’ moving around making his nightly preparations before he turned off the lights and entered the bedroom.
Sasuke made grabby motions with his hands, feeling especially needy today after a night bereft of what was his and being left out for his own good. He stubbornly ignored the answering chuckle and allowed warm arms to warm around him as he burrowed close to Naruto like to puzzle pieces clicking together.
