A/N: Yay quick update this time!� And btw, this chapter is kinda dark, and
there is a CD so yea�

CH:11 The
way we are.

�� Uchiha
Sasuke, the second to last living heir of the Uchiha clan stared at the gates
of Kohona.� The city was nearly reconstructed
already, and there were ninja standing guard, ready to attack any unknown ninja
that should try to invade.� From his
perch in the tree, Sasuke couldn�t clearly make out the faces of the ninja, but
it didn�t matter.� Feeling the curse seal
on his neck tingle, Sasuke knew that this would be the best test of his new
power.�� Without a second though, Sasuke
masked his chakra signature and leapt down in front of the gate, too far away
to be noticed.�� Clad in a large straw
hat and a thick cloak, Sasuke approached the gate.

�� One
of the two nin stood, and blocked his path as he
approached the gate.� When Sasuke was
standing less than an inch from the guard he finally received the command that
he was looking for.� �State your
business.�� Sasuke smirked before
answering, �To destroy Kohona.�� Before
the guard could do more than look at Sasuke in confusion, he fell back, a kunai
jutting from his heart.� The second
stood, but Sasuke sent a senbon into his throat before he could make a
sound.� Both nin
fell to the ground in unison, neither one ever rising again.�

�� With
a smirk, Sasuke dashed into the village.

�� Coming
to a stop in front of the Hokage tower, Sasuke sighed.� There weren�t nearly enough nin guarding the place, and he was bored.� Opening the main door, he stepped in,
searching for any chakra signatures.� Finding
none, he sprinted up the stairs, coming to a stop in front of the Hokage�s
office. ��Shizune didn�t know what hit
her, and she fell to the ground limp, a single senbon jutting from the side of
her neck.� Searching the other side of
the door for chakra, Sasuke sensed an unusually large concentration.� �The Hokage.� He thought
to himself, making a sequence of quick hand signs.� He couldn�t forget his mission.� �To gather information and eliminate the Hokage
at any expense.�� Resolved, Sasuke formed
the last sign, releasing a small black snake under the door.� Sasuke waited� at a scream from the other
side, he opened the door.�

This wasn�t the Hokage�. It was Sakura.�

Maoki stood, �Why don�t we just go
and kill Orochimaru and drag Sasuke back?� he asked.� �Kicking and
screaming?� Yokiori added with a grin.
Maoki shrugged if we must.�

Naruto shook his head.� �It wouldn�t be that easy, we could go into
Oto full force but that would give away our existence to the humana world.� Secrecy is our only option.�

�We could go and request help from
the Hokage.� ��All eyes turned to look at
Gaara.� Naruto smacked himself in the head, the demon twins rolled their eyes.�

�Why couldn�t I think of that?�
Naruto said.�

�Dobe.�� Yokiori said.�
Naruto froze.� Throwing a glare at
his brother, Naruto stormed out of the room.

�What was that all about?� Yokiori
asked, Itachi and Maoki shrugged, Gaara just shook his head.

Storming through the castle, Naruto stopped
in his room for a moment to grab his travel sack and fill it with a weeks worth
of supplies.� Yokiori appeared not long
after.� �Where are you going
Kayhaku-sama?� ��Yokiori dare not call
Naruto by name after pissing him off, he may be a joker, but he�s not stupid.

�To Kohona.�
And with that, Naruto fled the village and raced towards Kohona.

Sasuke cursed as he picked up the
limp body of his former team-mate.� He didn�t
have time for this.� She�d have to
do.� Racing out of the Hokage tower, Sasuke
was glad for the lax town security as he raced to the old Uchiha district.� Entering the main manor, Sasuke took the girl
down to the old torture room that Itachi had built,
only the gods know why.�

Sakura screamed as another dose of
poison passed through her heart.� The
snake that Sasuke had summoned was meant to kill slowly and painfully, a fate
that was supposedly worse than anything Itachi could do with the Sharingan.� Strapping her into a chair, Sasuke grabbed a
nearby knife.�

The day was filled with her screams
of pain.

By the time Sasuke was finished, Sakura
was on the verge of death, bloody, broken, and begging for death.� Before Sasuke granted her that wish he had
one more question.� �Where�s Naruto?�� He hadn�t sensed his chakra signature at all
in the village.��

Sakura spat blood out of her
mouth.� �Who cares about the bastard
demon?� He disappeared during the exams. And good riddance.�

�That was the wrong thing to say.� And
with that Sasuke slammed the knife into her skull, the hilt buried in her face.

Naruto raced to the front gate of Kohona,
something was wrong.� Nobody was at the
gate and the sent of blood was extremely potent.� Senses on high alert, Naruto let his true
form take over, his tales swaying behind him.�
Racing through the village to the Hokage tower, Naruto smelled two
things one: blood and two: Uchiha Sasuke.�

Following the latter scent, Naruto raced
to the Uchiha district.� Hoping that he would catch Sasuke before he left.� Finding the main manor, Naruto burst in and
followed the scent to a door.� But something
was wrong.� The scent of blood completely
covered up everything else.� Drawing a kunai
out of his holster, Naruto opened the door slowly.�

Walking into the room Naruto froze at
what he saw.�

The massacred body of Sakura Haruno .
