A/N: ah what's with people getting ahead of the story... ah forget that this is a good thing it means people like what i'm writing and are thinking about what happens next, I hope.
Ok some things to review.
1) if Sasuke was thrown out of ninja program he would not be eligible for CRA (Clan Restoration Act).
2) the elders won't be killed because they support Danzo and vice-versa
3) Naruto and Sakura (Ino too) have a complicated relationship, they respect his power but still ridicule and hate on him to graciate themselves to Sasuke. so this relationship won't really change all that much until Sasuke leaves, except when they're alone with Naruto.
4) finally what's up with Kakashi? well you'll find out in the next chapter

Chapter 10: Abduction
Chunin Exam 2: The Forest Of Death
The second Chunin Exam had started and Squad Seven had raced into the Forest of Death. The moment they had started Naruto had created a hundred clones and had them spread out and explore the forest. He quickly replaced himself with a clone and hung back allowing some space between him and the rest of Squad Seven.
As they ran deeper into the forest Naruto could hear running water. “Stop guys do you hear that, can you smell it?” The clone of Naruto asked as Sasuke and Sakura stopped and looked at him as if he was delusional.
“Hear what, smell what?” Sakura asked suspiciously.
“Running water, we must be close to the river and we aren’t alone.” The Naruto clone answered sniffing the air and catching multiple scents.
“And why is that important?” Sasuke huffed thinking he had finally got one over the infuriating loser.
“Because the tower is near the center of the forest and this river goes through the center of the forest north to south.” The clone replied trying not to roll his eyes. “It was on the map we were shown.” The clone finished.
“So what should we follow the river then, is that what you saying?” Sakura asked obnoxiously as she and Sasuke laughed at the clone.
“No I’m not saying we should, that’ll make us a target for the Hidden Rain that came in the gate closest to us.” The clone replied as if talking to a brick wall.
“And how do you know which team came in closest to us?” Sasuke asked irritated, he was sick and tired of Naruto talking like he knew what he was doing, he was a nobody after all.
“He told me.” The clone replied as a miniature Kurama clone with a single tail jumped onto the clone’s shoulder and made a couple of yips.
“Why should we tru…” Sasuke was cut off as they felt an overwhelming amount of killing intent from somewhere from their right.
“Do you remember Gaara?” The clone asked with a satisfied grin as his teammates paled at the name of the Hidden Sand’s Jinchuriki.

At the same time the real Naruto and a full nine tailed miniature copy of Kurama was high in the forest canopy watching the Hidden Rain Genin facing off against Gaara’s squad.
‘These guys are really stupid.’ Naruto thought as the leader of the Rain shinobi mouthed off at Gaara.
Naruto watched as Gaara stepped forward towards the three Rain shinobi who together pulled an umbrella from their shoulders. ‘What the? What can they possible use those for?’ Naruto thought as he watched them throw the umbrella’s into the air. ‘They have hidden weapons.’ Naruto surmised as he caught the Rain shinobi making hand signs. Instantly the umbrellas began to spin and from the opened tops came a rain of senbon needles.
Naruto watched as sand erupted from the gourd on Gaara’s back. The swirling sand surrounded Gaara like a shield. Then senbon rained down upon the protected Gaara not one got through the sand shield. However as the senbon rained down one of the Rain shinobi ran out to Gaara’s right weaving signs as he did. Another ran towards Gaara’s left also weaving signs.
‘Water style, has to be. Though fire would turn the sand to glass, maybe, there is quite a bit of blood in that sand.’ Naruto thought as he prepared to intervene.
“Water style: Water Pistol.” Shouted both Rain ninja as they skidded to a standstill both were facing Gaara with their palms facing him. Instantly a burst of water erupted from their hands, shooting straight at Gaara from opposite sides.
“Come on let’s get the leader before he…” Naruto was cut off as the sand from Gaara’s earlier shield split in to and blocked the two water jutsu.
“Hidden Jutsu: Sand Spears.” Gaara whispered as the two sand shields fell to the ground. Fresh sand erupted from the gourd on his back and shot directly at the three Genin that surrounded him. The leader ducked under the sand spear and jumped away, unknowingly closer to the awaiting Naruto. His teammates weren’t so lucky. The one on Gaara’s right tried to duck and took the spear in his left eye, where his heart had been moments earlier. The one on his left was impaled through his stomach as he tried to jump over the sand spear. With the two impaled Genin on now whip like sand structures Gaara tossed them towards the lone standing Rain ninja who dodged the flying bodies by jumping backwards, coming still closer to Naruto.
“Perfect, you’re dead now.” Naruto whispered as he dropped from the branch he had been standing on, Kurama on his shoulder. He landed on the Genin’s shoulder driving him to the floor and with his lone hidden blade gauntlet on his right arm thrust the blade deep into the Rain ninja’s neck so that the blade came through the other side. Withdrawing the blade from the dead ninja’s neck he quickly ransacked the body for their heaven scroll. He stood up and faced the surprised Sand Genin, the miniature Kurama between his legs.
“Sorry about that here you deserve this.” He tossed the Heaven scroll to Gaara who caught the scroll and threw it to the girl behind him.
“You will pay for this.” The gutted ninja yelled from his kneeling position.
“Totally forgot about you.” Naruto said pivoting and kicked the dead body at his feet at the injured Rain ninja. The body slammed into the kneeling ninja knocking him on his back. “You want the honors or shall I?” Naruto asked Gaara.
Gaara nodded as an evil grin came to his lips. Thrusting his hand out towards the heap of humanity that was the three Rain Genin. The sand from around Gaara’s feet rushed to cover the three Genin completely. “Hidden Jutsu: Sand Coffin.” Gaara called squeezing his hand into a fist. Naruto watched as the sand begin to constrict around the three Genin. He could hear the screams of the lone survivor as he was crushed into tiny drops of blood.
“Well that was fun, so do you know where the tower is?” Naruto asked as a clone dispersed and he received its memories.
“No of course we don’t.” the other male a boy with purple war paint on his face said angrily.
“Shut up Kankuro before I kill you.” Gaara said in a deathly calm voice. Kankuro quickly shut up as he looked sideways at the girl.
“Ok then follow him.” Naruto said as he brought his hands together in a cross like seal. In a puff of smoke an identical clone of Naruto stood beside the original. “This is the clone that found the tower, so just follow him.” Naruto said as he wrapped an arm around the clone’s shoulders. Besides us Jinchuriki got to stick together if we’re going to destroy anything and everything in our path, right Gaara?” Naruto laughed an evil grin spreading across his face at the looks of terror on the faces of Gaara’s teammates.
“I’ll see you later Gaara, got to get a Heaven scroll for my Squad as well.” Naruto chuckled before jumping onto a tree branch and began jumping from branch to branch heading south west towards the river that ran through the forest.

Naruto was sitting beside the river waiting when the rest of Squad Seven arrived.
“What are you doing here Naruto, weren’t you behind us?” Sakura asked as she turned around and watched the clone disperse in a puff of smoke.
“Waiting what does it look like?” Naruto quipped back with a chuckle.
“So why are we here?” Sakura asked as she glared at the smirking blonde.
“Well not far from here are two squads with a Heaven scroll.” Naruto said. “But there are also three maybe four squads with Earth scrolls.” He continued with a raised eyebrow.
“Why should we trust you? You have been here alone the whole time, while we were with a clone.” Sakura asked frustrated that she couldn’t tell that the Naruto with them had been a clone.
“You don’t have to, but since I don’t trust either of you.” Naruto said leaving the unspoken words hanging in the air.
“Might as well see if he is telling the truth, we need a Heaven scroll to pass this exam.” Sasuke muttered as he paced along the shore of the river.
“Ok the closest squad is directly south about a kilometer; the other is southwest about two and a half kilometers away.” Naruto said jumping to his feet and pointing in each direction as he mentioned the corresponding squad.
“Well we should go for the closest then. What do you think Sasuke” Sakura stated with a blush on her cheeks.
“Whatever, might as well.” Sasuke huffed as he started walking south, Sakura running to catch up. Naruto followed behind them and quickly created ten clones to scout around them.
They had been walking for almost half an hour when one of Naruto’s clones was violently dispelled. Naruto quickly created another clone of him and Kurama before he switched places with it and jumped into the tree branches above. Almost ten minutes later the squad responsible for dispelling the clone burst from the river and ambushed them.
Naruto high in the tree branches watched as his squad easily repelled the attack of two Hidden Rain ninja with rebreather masks. ‘Clever they are hiding in the bushes to the left and have clones attack from the water on the right.”
Instantly three more clones emerged from the river and attacked. Again they were easily repelled and dispelled. After the clones were dispelled more emerged from the river and the forest to surround Squad Seven, Naruto high above the fight silently stalked the three real Genin who were hiding as their clones continued to attack.
“Ready for some bloodshed Kurama?” Naruto grinned at the little fox.
“Can’t wait.” Kurama replied in his head as the fox gave a yip and a growl.
“Let’s do this then. Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu” Naruto said making the cross seal. In a swirl of six smoke bombs stood six copies of Naruto five of them clones and the original with Kurama on his shoulder.
Four of the clones paired up while the leftover clone stood beside the original. The original Naruto held up his left fist and slowly counted to three with his fingers, Index, middle and ring. As soon as his ring finger came up three clones drew their katana and dropped down behind the three Rain Genin. As the clones landed behind their target they thrust with their katana through the three Genin’s spines. As the clones struck the two remaining clones and the original dropped down landing on top of the Rain Genin and slit their throats with their hidden blades.
“Hey help me look for the scroll will ya.” Naruto said to the two clones that were currently cleaning the blood off of their hidden blades.
“Sure thing boss.” They said in unison both with a huge grin causing Naruto’s eyebrow to tick.
They quickly rummaged through the bodies of the dead Rain ninja. Naruto found the Heaven scroll while the two clones ransacked and looted the remaining two corpses.
“Hey boss look at this.” One of the clones said tossing a sealed scroll to Naruto.
“There is something very powerful sealed away in that scroll.” Kurama said inside Naruto’s head as the miniature fox on his shoulder sniffed at the scroll.
“We’ll unseal it after we finish the exam.” Naruto said as he stashed the scroll away in his backpack. Naruto dispelled the clones as Sasuke and Sakura approached.
“Look what I found.” Naruto said holding up the Heaven scroll while turning to face his teammates.
“So what now, how do we get to tower from here?” Sakura asked looking around.
Rolling his eyes Naruto answered “Sakura do you remember Kakashi sensei’s training while we were in the Land of Waves?”
“Yes I remember what about it?” Sakura asked, before a look of understanding passed between them. Sakura quickly ran up the tree to her right. “I see it, I can see the tower it’s about three and a half kilometers to the west and slightly to the south. Sakura shouted to her teammates as she shaded her eyes from the glare of the setting sun

Dusk was fading to twilight when a blood curdling scream shattered the pristine evening air.
“What was that?” Sakura asked anxiously looking towards the entrance to the cave Squad Seven was using for camp.
“Who cares what it is it doesn’t concern me and it shouldn’t concern you either.” Sasuke said continuing to stare into the flames of their cooking fire.
“But what if it is one of our friends?” Sakura replied angrily.
“Why do you care? Every other team would happily kill us to get our scrolls.” Naruto growled, hiding his morbid interest in watching a bloodbath.
“Fine just forget I said anything.” Sakura huffed turning away from her teammates in disgust.
Naruto sneakily created a clone to replace him. “Kurama make a clone and come on” Naruto said as he was able to slip away undetected with a little fox on his shoulder. They were both unaware of the spying eyes that saw them leave.
Naruto followed the scent of fresh blood as he ran through the treetops. He stopped dead as another scream came from below him. He watched as two squads from the Hidden Waterfall were defending themselves from a team up of two Sound squads and a Hidden Grass squad.
‘What the? What is going on here, why would the Grass and Sound team up?’ Naruto thought as he watched the ebb and flow of the battle.
“Use your eyes Naruto.” Kurama said peevishly.
‘Her the Jinchuriki, are they after her?’ Naruto thought before something peculiar caught his attention. A red haired Kunoichi was kneeling beside an injured Waterfall Genin who had his teeth imbedded in her arm. ‘Why is he biting her? What the hell he’s healing himself.’ Naruto thought as he sensed the red head losing chakra as the injured man gained chakra.
“Naruto something is very wrong with those three Grass Genin.” Kurama said into his mind.
“Two scents I can smell two scents from each of them but only one set of chakra.” Naruto replied just as confused and put off by this weird scenario.
“Why don’t you come out of the trees little boy.” The tallest of the Grass Genin said looking straight at Naruto who stood open mouthed and frozen to the spot with fear of the killing intent he felt radiating from the speaker.
“Hey what was that for?” Naruto yelped as he was snapped out of his stupor by the nine-tailed miniature fox that bit him on the shoulder.
‘I recognize that scent, it’s Orochimaru, what is that snake doing here?’ Kurama thought angrily.
“Come down from your hiding spot little boy.” The disguised Orochimaru yelled as he thrust his arm out towards where Naruto was hiding. From out of his robed arm shot a giant snake’s head that speed straight for where Naruto was hiding. Naruto dropped from his perch just before the snake’s head crashed through the tree branch he had been just standing on.
“This must be my lucky day not one but two Jinchurikis.” Orochimaru shouted in pleasure as he caught sight of the miniature nine-tailed fox on Naruto’s shoulder.
As Naruto landed he was forced to dodge by jumping into a backflip as a blast of wind tore through the ground he had been standing on. Landing he had his hands in a cross seal, in a blast of smoke stood a thousand clones of Naruto.
“This is gonna be fun, come on let’s kill them.” The clones echoed back and forth between them each drawing their katana and like a living wave charged at the Grass and Sound squads. Naruto used the distraction to make his way to the weary and overwhelmed Waterfall squads.
“So you’re a Jinchuriki too?” The aqua haired Waterfall Kunoichi asked Naruto as he got close to them.
“Yeah I’m the host of the nine-tails. You’re one too, which one do you host?” Naruto replied as they eyed each other.
“Yep I host the seven tails. My name is Fuu by the way.” She answered with a happy, carefree laugh.
‘What’s wrong with this girl? We’re in the middle of a fight and she’s happy and carefree.’ Naruto thought confused by the aqua haired girl’s happy, carefree manner.
“Hey leaf boy what’s your name?” Fuu asked clicking her fingers in his face trying to get his attention.
Snapping out of his trance he answered, “Naruto my name is Naruto. Um why is she being bitten?” he asked as he stared at the red haired Kunoichi currently being bitten by another injured ninja.
“She’s their team medic apparently that is a special bloodline technique from her mother’s clan.” Fuu answered a little sadly.
“You know if she is drained of anymore chakra she’s going to die.” Naruto said missing Fuu’s sad tone.
“They don’t care, her mother died the same way when our village was attacked a few years ago.” Fuu replied as she watched the red head become pale from the loss of chakra.
Naruto also watched the red head become pale as he sensed her chakra on the verge of completely depleting. His anger spiked as he enveloped himself in a single tailed chakra cloak. Kurama jumped off of Naruto’s shoulder and landed at his feet. Standing in front of Naruto he began to grow from the size of a normal red fox to the size of a large grey wolf, his nine tails swishing back and forth as his host’s anger began to unbalance the chakra bond keeping his own potent chakra in check.
Naruto burst forward in a flash of orange and grabbed the collar of the injured ninja. “Let her go before you kill her.” Naruto yelled as he threw the ninja away from the panting red head.
“You’re dead now freak.” The other squad member said as he helped the ninja Naruto threw to stand up.
Naruto spun around both his eyes blood red and two more tails erupting from the chakra cloak. “Bring it I love a good bloodbath.” Naruto grinned in a cold and emotionless state causing the two ninja’s to pause mid-step.
“Idiots! How do you suppose to pass the exam if she dies, remember the exam needs to be completed as a team.” Fuu said as she stepped between the Naruto and the other Waterfall ninja.
Naruto looked sideways as a scream rocked the clearing. Everybody turned to see all of Naruto’s clones in a three tailed chakra cloak decimating the Sound and Grass shinobi. “Plus we have a common enemy to defeat.” One of Fuu’s teammates said in a gruff voice.
“Hey what the hell? Where are they going?” Fuu shouted as the three remaining Sound and single Grass ninja retreated into a cloud of smoke.
Naruto sighed as he slowly relaxed and allowed the chakra cloak to dissipate and dispelled the remaining clones getting all of their experiences. “That was fun.” Naruto grinned as he felt his clones thrill for the fight.
Now that he was closer to the red head he could sense that she was on the verge of death. “Here, you will need this if you want to live.” Naruto said as a golden chain slipped out of his right sleeve and wrapped itself around the red head’s wrist. The colour returned to her cheeks as Naruto shared some of his own chakra with her.
“Who are you? How are you able to use the Chakra Chains?” the girl asked suspicion all over her face.
“My name is Naruto Uzumaki and I can use the Chakra Chains because it is one of my clan’s jutsu. Now how the fuck do you know of the Chakra Chains?” Naruto asked removing the chain from around her wrist and moving it into an attacking stance, like a cobra ready to strike.
“I know because I am also an Uzumaki, my name is Karin Uzumaki.” She replied as a white-gold chain slipped out of her right sleeve to wind its way around Naruto’s.
Naruto and Karin both stood frozen as their two chains continued to twine together. The silence was broken by her two teammates. “Well freak looks like you do have some family left.” They laughed as Karin flinched at their comment. Through the bond the two entwined chains were creating Naruto could feel her pain, degradation, and her anger.
“You’re right she does have family and she won’t be going back with you.” Naruto growled glaring at them sideways so that they could only see his blood red left eye.
“You can’t have her freak, she belongs to us and her life belongs to the Hidden Waterfall.” The braver of the two shouted at the blonde.
With a wicked grin and a gleam in his eye Naruto struck as two black chakra chains erupted from his back and shot at the two Genin. Each of the chains quickly wrapped around their victim’s neck, each chain began to pulse with a purple light soon after wrapping around their victim’s neck.
“What is that? What is going on here?” Fuu and Karin said together looking at Naruto as he stared at the red head.
“An upgraded Chakra Chain. Instead of paralyzing and absorbing chakra, this chain paralyses and drains both the victim’s chakra and their life-force.” Naruto replied as he continued to send the chakra through the entwined chains to Karin. “Do you not feel yourself becoming stronger, healthier?” Naruto asked the red head.
Karin nodded and watched as the dried out husks of her former teammates dropped to the floor and burst into a cloud of dust.
“Karin you know he just failed you for the exam?” Fuu said stepping forward to stand next to the red head.
“Yes I know and I don’t care. I’m not going back to that shithole of a village; I don’t care if I become a Rogue Ninja in some Bingo Book.” Karin said vehemently.
“Good I have a proposition for you.” Naruto said as Karin tried to calm herself.
“And what is that?” Fuu said turning her attention to the blonde.
“It’s simple enough but only Karin can know, so back away.” Naruto replied looking directly at Fuu and her two teammates.
Karin followed Naruto a few meters away from the other three. “Ok what is this about Naruto?” she asked.
“My goal is to reclaim our homeland and the Uzumaki legacy, are you interested in helping me?” Naruto replied forthright hoping he would not be the lone Uzumaki reclaiming their clan’s legacy.
“How are you going to do that? Nobody alive knows where the Land of Eddies is.” Karin replied honestly wondering if the blonde was out of his mind.
“You’re right nobody alive yet there were three prominent Uzumaki’s in the Hidden Leaf and I have access to their records.” Naruto grinned as he saw hope light up her green eyes. “So deal?”
“Yes I’ll help but how?” she asked still unclear on how she was to feature in his plans.
“Easy you’re going to fire your flare and have Anko retrieve you then a girl name Haku will meet you and take you someplace safe.” Naruto replied.
“How will I recognize this Haku girl?” Karin asked the blonde.
Naruto looked down at the sitting fox at his feet and gave a small non-descript nod before closing his eyes. “Hey Haku you still near Anko?” Naruto asked through the mental link that Kurama had created that morning.
“Yes why?” Haku answered in his head.
“Well it seems I have found a kinswoman and she has agreed to help with my ambition. Soon she’s going to fire her flare so that Anko can remove her from the exam. I need you to meet her and take her back to the apartments. Her name is Karin and I need to know what are you wearing?” Naruto replied back through the link.
“I’m wearing blue shirt and jeans with my hair down, just as you like.” She said adding the little tidbit to tease him.
“Damn exam, uh thanks Haku. We’ll be in the tower tomorrow and probably have to wait the three days till the exam finishes.” Naruto replied as a he got a little flushed, he did like Haku’s hair down it reminded him of a dark waterfall.
Opening his eyes Naruto looked at Karin who had a sort of daydream expression. “Hey Karin you ok?” He asked the distracted red head.
“Yeah I was just looking at your chakra it’s beautiful and so warm so different from the powerful, darker, colder chakra from before.” She replied.
“Well Haku’s all ready to start, you will recognize her from her blue shirt and jeans and her straight black hair.” Naruto replied smiling as Karin nodded and repeated the information.
“Ok let’s get back to the others so we can finish this shit.” Naruto replied already walking back towards the other three Genin, Karin following close behind.
“Finished? Good we got that Sound Squad’s Earth scroll.” Fuu said holding up the sealed scroll.
“Good then we’re almost done. Karin’s going to let off her flare. So you can proceed to the tower that way.” Naruto said pointing to the west.
“How can we trust you?” asked the Genin to Fuu’s left.
Naruto face palmed and pointed at a tree to his right (the west). “Climb the fucking tree and you can see the bloody tower you fucking moron.” Naruto said shaking his head at how stupid the people he met were.
Fuu raced to the top of the tree and could easily see the tower. “He’s right, I can see the tower.” She shouted back to her teammates, grumbling they shoved past Naruto. As the two disappeared into the forest Fuu waved at Naruto with a bright happy smile on her face. Naruto waved back as she jumped off of the tree. ‘That chick is seriously weird how can a Jinchuriki be so happy?’ He thought before turning back to Karin.
“Your mother was happy as a Jinchuriki.” Kurama told him in his head.
“Really you never told me that.” Naruto replied as he walked over to Karin.
“It never really came up, besides we’ve been busy.”
“Ok Karin are you ready, I’ll be in the treetop just to make sure everything goes well. Remember Haku is wearing blue and I guess I’ll see you in four days” Naruto replied as Karin hugged him.
Stepping away from Naruto she grabbed the flare from her pack. “I’m glad I have family.” She said firing the flare into the sky. Naruto was in the trees in an orange flash as he watched Anko and four masked ANBU retrieved Karin taking her back out of the Forest of Death.
‘Well that went well this goal is starting to move along.’ Naruto thought as he made his way back to the cave his Squad was using as camp.

An explosion knocked Naruto off of his feet as he neared the entrance of the cave. Naruto got his dispelled clones memories of a giant snake attacking them in the cave.
“Naruto, Naruto can you hear me?” Sakura yelled beside him.
“What?” Naruto shouted back, his ears bleeding from the concussive wave that had assaulted his enhanced hearing.
“We’re under attack loser remember?” Sasuke asked dropping down next to Naruto.
“Snake where is the snake?” Naruto asked still shaking his head trying to get his bearings and his head in the fight.
“MOVE!” Naruto shouted pushing his teammates away as the snake came rushing at them. Naruto dodged above the striking snake. Drawing his katana as he reached the height of his jump he placed his right hand over the blade and began pouring his chakra into the blade. Falling he positioned the blade point down as he continued to fall. The snake reared up ready to strike at the struggling Sakura when Naruto crashed onto its head his katana piercing through the snake’s brain.
“Naruto behind you.” Kurama shouted in his head.
Naruto spun around to see the three Sound ninja and lone Grass ninja from before.
“Well, well what do we have here the Nine Tails Jinchuriki and a fledgling Uchiha.” The Grass ninja called out getting the three Genin’s attention.
“Naruto be careful that is Orochimaru one of the Leaf’s Legendary Sannin.” Kurama warned the blonde in his head.
“The usual deal then?” Naruto replied with a grin.
“No this time’s a freeby I like you much better than that twisted snake. Besides you’ll need my help to have a chance of beating him.”
As they conversed three snakes erupted out of the outstretched sleeves of Orochimaru. Naruto dodged the striking snakes back flipping once, twice, three times cutting the head of one snake every time he back flipped. Naruto landed fully immersed in a two tailed chakra cloak after his third back flip.
To Naruto’s left Sakura was desperately fighting against a black haired Kunoichi who looked like she was almost toying with the pink haired Kunoichi. To Naruto’s right Sasuke was fighting against an increasingly maddened Sound Genin with spikey black hair that seemed to be wildly shooting blasts of wind from his hands at the dodging Uchiha. Behind Naruto was the third member of the Sound Squad, who was trying to sneak up on the blonde. Naruto spun on the sneaking Sound ninja as his sensitive hearing picked up the incoming attack, which was already causing his ears to bleed. Naruto grabbed his weaponized arm in his right hand and crushed the metal device that was emitting the powerful soundwaves that were damaging his sensitive hearing. With his left hand he stabbed his katana into the ninja’s chest, right through his heart. Naruto grinned as he watched the light in the ninja’s eyes go out.
Naruto snarled as Orochimaru continued to chortle as he watched Squad Seven fight back against the three Sound ninja. In an orange flash Naruto was rushing to attack the laughing snake master. Just as he was about to strike with a katana strike he was hit in the back from behind sending him hurtling through the forest, crashing through tree branches until he slammed into the trunk of a massive tree.
“Ow what the hell hit me?” Naruto asked quietly as he rubbed the blood flowing from above his eyes.
“That.” Kurama said as another massive snake reared up before him ready to strike.
Naruto dropped to the forest floor from the crater he had created when he crashed into the trunk just before the snake struck snapping the tree in half. Running just as he landed Naruto ran to the right of the recoiling snake and jumped onto its back stabbing down with his katana to keep his balance.
The snake’s head snapped around to look at Naruto who quickly jumped high into the air to dodge the striking snake. “Let’s see if this works a second time.” Naruto muttered to himself as he positioned his katana point down.
“Nope definitely not.” Naruto grimaced as the snake recovered and positioned itself to catch Naruto in its open mouth. Naruto grabbed two Hiraishin kunai from the holster on his left leg. He threw one to his left behind the rearing snake the other he threw to his right directly opposite from the snake. Naruto disappeared just as the snake snapped its jaw shut. He reappeared behind the snake with his hands full of gleaming shuriken. He threw them at the back of the snake’s head, six of the ten shuriken embedding in the snake’s head. Naruto waited for the snake to turn and face him before he used the Hiraishin again to disappear and then reappear behind the snake. Naruto now standing behind the snake quickly created ten shadow clones, all of them in a two tail chakra cloak. Each clone drew their katana and following the original Naruto’s lead and began channeling their chakra into their katana. As a group they rushed at the confused snake. They struck like a storm of razors with their chakra enhanced blades cutting deep into snake flesh. Naruto and his clones went to work slicing their way up to the snakes head. Naruto jumped high into the air as his clones continued to cut into the snake distracting it from the vulnerable original high above. Down Naruto plummeted from upon high his katana point down as he crashed into the snake’s head his katana driving through its skull and into its brain until Naruto’s hands were resting in grey brain mush.
The lifeless snake crashed to the ground sending shockwaves into the ground. “That was fun.” Naruto grinned along with his clones as he rubbed his hands and katana clean of snake brains. He dismissed his clones and raced off back towards his squad.
Naruto arrived to a destroyed battlefield. The ground was torn up with trees knocked over and roots exposed. To Naruto’s right in the hollow of a tree trunk was a very still Sakura, her hair cut short to shoulder length. Directly across from Naruto was Sasuke who was standing as still as a statue with the Orochimaru outstretched head biting his neck. To Naruto’s left was Orochimaru’s body protected by the two remaining sound ninja, the guy getting his right arm placed in a sling by the black haired Kunoichi.
With the two Sound ninja distracted dealing with injuries Naruto struck. In an orange flash he was beside the Kunoichi. With a back hand punch with his left hand he sent the Kunoichi flying away. As the remaining sound ninja turned to face Naruto a chakra cloak claw took his head from his shoulders. Naruto was already moving to strike at Orochimaru before he was staring into the snake-like eyes of Orochimaru.
“I wouldn’t continue if I were you.” Orochimaru said wagging a finger in Naruto’s face. “If you want to pass this exam you should check on your teammates.” Orochimaru pointed to Naruto’s deathly still squad mates.
“What did you do?” Naruto growled fighting the urge to rip the grinning Sannin’s head off.
“Nothing much, I just gave dear Sasuke a gift. He will seek out my power; he will abandon this village for the sake of ultimate power.” Orochimaru snickered at the look of disgust on Naruto’s face.
They both spun to the north as they both sensed approaching powerful chakras. ‘You’re so going to die now.’ Naruto thought as he sensed Anko’s and four other powerful chakras. Turning to face Orochimaru he was surprised to see him gone, all that remained was the skin of the Grass ninja that Orochimaru had inhabited.
“Where is he? Where is Orochimaru?” Anko shouted as she and her four ANBU teammates arrived at the battlefield.
“You just missed him.” Naruto muttered as he jumped off of the tree branch and went to check on his teammates to make sure they weren’t dead.

Deep in an underground facility somewhere in the vicinity of Konoha there knelt four men in ANBU masks. Standing in front of them leaning on a bamboo cane was a man in a black and white robe. Half of his face was covered by bandages as was his right arm.
“I have summoned you for a top priority mission. Since you are the best retrieval Squad in my Root I entrust this mission to you.” The robed man said as he paced before the four kneeling men waiting for the fifth to arrive with vital information on their target.
In a burst of smoke man with a cat mask appeared and kneeled before the robed man. “Lord Danzo I have the information you required.” He said passing a rolled up scroll to Danzo.
“Excellent work now for your mission.” Danzo started as he explained the mission to the five kneeling masked men.

Naruto was standing below the tower as he carried the injured Sakura on his back while a wolf sized Kurama was grudgingly and grumbling carrying the unconscious Sasuke.
“We made it Kurama.” Naruto said tiredly as he grinned at the still grumbling fox. They both stopped dead when they caught the scent of multiple people surrounding them.
Naruto sighed in relief, “It’s just Fuu’s and Hinata’s squads.” Naruto said as he waited for them to enter the clearing in front of the tower.
Hinata was the first to enter the clearing and come face to face with the tired Naruto and Kurama clone. “Naruto what is wrong?” Hinata asked rushing over to Naruto and looked him over with her Byakugan.
“Hinata I’m fine stop fussing, I’m just tired having to carry these two.” Naruto said turning to watch the rest of the two squads enter the entranceway to the tower. “Shall we?” Naruto said as Hinata grabbed his arm and began to lead him towards the tower door.
All three teams entered one after the other. First was Hinata leading Naruto who was carrying the unconscious Sakura followed by Kurama carrying Sasuke, then Shino, Kiba, Fuu and her two teammates.
“Ok what now?” Kiba asked as the three squads stood in the entrance hall of the tower.
“We open the two scrolls now so that we can pass the exam.” Shino said as he walked for the door to the nearest room.
“Good thinking Shino.” Hinata said as she helped Naruto to another door and opened it for him. Naruto entered the room and gently placed Sakura on the cold floor as Kurama just dumped Sasuke before dispelling. “Thanks Hinata.” Naruto said leaning into her and kissing her before Kiba ruined the moment calling out for Hinata. Across the hall Fuu watched Naruto and Hinata kiss and Naruto’s look of anger as Kiba interrupted them, ‘She knows he is a Jinchuriki and she cares for him but why, how?’ she thought as she watched Hinata kiss Naruto one more time.
Alone in the room Naruto unrolled the scrolls. ‘What the fuck they’re empty.’ Naruto thought before the scrolls fell from his hands and landed on the floor in an X like cross. Ink lines began to slowly emerge on the paper forming a sealing jutsu formula. As the seal fully formed there was a burst of smoke and standing on the crossed scrolls was Kakashi reading his usual book.
“Hey guys… ah Naruto where are the other two?” Kakashi asked looking around the room.
“Over there unconscious. We’re just trying to recover from the trials of the exam and our fight with Orochimaru and his goons.” Naruto replied shoving his thumb over his shoulder at the two unconscious teens behind him. “Well ok congratulations you and Squad Seven pass the Second Chunin Exam.” Kakashi said before he disappeared in a puff of smoke.
“Well that was short and sweet.” Naruto said aloud turning to look at Sakura as she bolted upright.
“Naruto where are we?” Sakura asked looking around the room.
“In the forest tower, we passed the exam.” Naruto replied, “Can you give me a hand helping get sleeping beauty up the stairs to the bedroom suites upstairs?” Naruto asked giving a sigh of relief as she helped him pick Sasuke up and leading him up the flight of stairs to a set of three suites.
“Sakura do you really think I’m a monster?” Naruto asked as they reached the top of the stairs.
Sakura almost dropped Sasuke as she jolted in guilt. “You heard that?” she asked as she steadied herself.
“Yeah I was lying on the bench. But you didn’t answer my question.”
“No I don’t I’m sorry I should never have listened to the villagers. If you were really the monster they said you were you would have killed me on the Wave mission.” Sakura said as Naruto opened the door to the central room of their suites.
“I thought they weren’t allowed to say that in front of youths.” Naruto said leading the way to the left suite.
“They don’t but since I’m a ninja now…” Sakura said leaving the words hanging in the air.
“You should stop trying to impress Sasuke; he isn’t interested in you or Ino, just power.” Naruto said as they dumped Sasuke on the bed and each went into one of the other two rooms.
Naruto lay down on the bed and was quickly asleep as the drain on his chakra finally kicked in leaving him in an exhausted sleep totally unaware of the outside world and the five masked men silently entering the room.

Naruto was slow to wake. His whole body ached his vision was blurry and he tasted copper in his mouth. His head throbbed in pain; it felt like something was pounding on his head.
“Where am I?” Naruto croakily whispered as he tried to move the air up his dry throat and pass the words past his dry and cracked lips.
