A week had passed since Iruka first arrived and he still couldn't believe what Naruto had told him. However, he had to admit that the people who resided within the large house acted strangely. He couldn't quite describe it, but it was strange behavior nonetheless. Naruto had forbidden him from leaving the room; he had stated that he feared for his safety. Iruka sighed, he had wanted to believe everything that Naruto told him, but he just couldn't. His adult mind had refused to accept the possibility of werewolves existing. Iruka looked to his side and smiled softly. He wanted to sit up, but he was afraid of waking Naruto with his excessive movements. Angling himself properly, he was able to push Naruto's head into his lap and sit up without waking him up. Iruka ran his hand over his face and sighed softly. He hadn't been sleeping very well since he had arrived. His mind had refused to sleep; numerous thoughts flooded his mind every night. It seemed that his mind was now his worst enemy. Not knowing what else to do, Iruka opted to watch Naruto sleep. Watching his child sleep was enough for him. A sense of ease filled him because he knew that Naruto was safe.
Iruka bit his tongue to refrain from chuckling as he recalled a very amusing memory. He recalled how angry Naruto became when Sasuke told him that they couldn't sleep in the same bed. Naruto pouted and argued until Sasuke agreed to what he wanted. Iruka had noticed then that no matter how Sasuke treated Naruto, he had a soft spot for him. It didn't matter that neither of them wanted to admit or recognize the growing feeling. Sasuke's actions didn't show that he had a soft spot, but rather the looks he gave Naruto when the blond wasn't looking. Iruka believed that Sasuke would protect Naruto and he was grateful. He may be a complete bastard, but Naruto was important to him. Hypothetically speaking, Sasuke wouldn't truly harm someone who was promised to him by the mother moon. Iruka wasn't too keen about the prophecy and the mother moon, but he was trying to keep an open mind. He was trying to think like a "werewolf". Sasuke was a kind man in his own way. When he walked about with Naruto, he noted that his people spoke highly of him. The people he ruled over could not love a leader that was truly cruel. Iruka huffed and grabbed fistfuls of his hair. If he didn't stop his ponderings, he would never fall asleep. Lying back down, he petted Naruto before trying to get some rest.

SASUNARU
Every time he walked through the hallways, he heard the pack whispering things about him. Naruto tried his best not to listen to what they were saying, but it was becoming really hard to ignore. If they wanted to insult him, the least they could do was say it to his face. Lately he'd been hearing the word "mate" a lot. Not mate as in companion, but mate as in sex. It sent shivers down his spine every time he heard the word coming from a pack members lips. Today the word seemed to be running rampant throughout the hallways. The word bounced off the walls and attacked his ears. Naruto was becoming very irritated because he had no idea why they kept saying it. The next person to mention mate and look directly at him would face his wrath. As he continued to walk through the hallways, he passed numerous people. Naruto glared openly and waited for them to begin whispering about him. Strangely enough, they avoided his gaze and scurried down the hallway. Naruto turned around and watched them disappear. He shrugged and then smiled, his glare must have been scarier than he had first assumed. A mere human, struck fear in the hearts of monsters when he glared. That thought alone was enough to lift his spirits. There was now a bounce in his step as he continued down the hallway.

SASUNARU
Sasuke was trying his absolute best to remain patient. He wasn't a man… man wolf that lost his cool easily. There was rarely a person who could get under his skin. However, there was a thorn in his side. And said thorn in his side had yet to arrive. He had ordered Naruto to report to him at 10 in his office. It was currently 10:15 and there was not a sign of the meat boy anywhere. Sasuke took deep breaths in an effort to calm himself. If he became angry, he would lose his ability to think rationally. Sasuke decided that instead of focusing on his growing rage, he would come up with various ways to punish Naruto for being late. In truth, he didn't need to punish Naruto for being late because their mating would be enough of a punishment. A scary yet extremely attractive sneer appeared on his face when his door was pushed open.
"You're late," his authoritative voice left no room for argument. Naruto closed the door and just stared blankly at Sasuke. There was no way he would allow Sasuke to ruin his mood. Naruto had been late on purpose; he just wanted to piss Sasuke off. He wasn't Sasuke's slave; he had no right to give him commands. Deep down, Naruto was quite nervous. He knew that if he pissed Sasuke off, Iruka would suffer. Even though his insides were knotted, he tried his best to keep a straight face. Naruto's eyes widened when a rather frightening smirk reached Sasuke's lips. In one swift and graceful motion, Sasuke had gotten out of his seat. Naruto tried his best to keep his fear at bay. His mind was screaming at him, telling him to remain strong. Yet his body was betraying him by showing signs of fear. Within seconds, Sasuke had made his way over to Naruto. Before he could react, Naruto was pinned to the door by a solid body. Sasuke loomed over him while licking his lips in a lewd manner.
"I can smell your fear. Your body betrays you, you cannot hide your true feelings from me," every word was punctuated perfectly. Naruto quickly ducked to dodge Sasuke's hands. He made his way to the other side of the room, trying his best to avoid Sasuke's beating. As Naruto darted around the room, Sasuke merely followed him. He wasn't even fazed by the speed at which Naruto was moving. As he stalked the smaller male, he used his voice to emit even more fear in Naruto.
"What you said had some truth to it. I am not a rapist since I seek to please every lover that enters my bed, numerous if you must know the amount. However, we are not lovers. You are a tool given to me by the mother moon. My job is to protect and impregnate you, nothing more or less. I do not have to be gentle; I do not have to be kind. As Sasuke spoke, Naruto had stopped moving. He bit his lips and blinked rapidly trying his best to remain strong. The words-no matter how much he refused to admit it-hurt him. Naruto had never felt so useless. He didn't even feel like a human, he felt like a thing. After all, that was what Sasuke saw him as. Naruto whimpered quietly and took in deep even breaths. Trying to ignore the pain was harder than he thought. He didn't understand why it hurt so much. If he didn't leave right away, he would break. And if that happened, he wouldn't be able to live with himself. These conflicting emotions were making his head hurt. Naruto didn't want Sasuke's words to affect him. All he wanted was to feel hatred towards Sasuke, but now all he felt was pain.
"May I leave now?" Naruto nearly bit his tongue as punishment for his stupidity. Why the hell did he ask Sasuke for permission to leave? What the hell had happened to being strong? Naruto was thoroughly ashamed of his behavior. Yet he did not move an inch, it was if his conscious was waiting for Sasuke to give an order. It made Naruto wonder if it was the Mother Moon making him feel this way or was he mentally ill? Naruto hoped it was the first rather than the latter. He was rudely pulled out of his thoughts by Sasuke's voice. "No retort that is a first. You're learning how to be a useful tool. If you had been this docile from the beginning our mating would be much more pleasurable." Suddenly the fire that had died in his soul had been reborn. Naruto's pain was quickly replaced with anger. It was quite pathetic that Sasuke's insults had such an effect on him. He would have to work on that problem later.
"So it's ok for you to insult me as much as you like? I'm just supposed to take it, without defending myself?" When Sasuke began to approach him, Naruto stood his ground. He was tired of the way Sasuke treated him and he was tired of the way he acted. For once he'd try to be strong and not let fear over ride his senses. However, he needed to limit himself for Iruka's sake. Iruka had sacrificed so much for him, it was the least he could do. Hopefully the thought of Iruka would keep most of his anger at bay. The time seemed to tick by so slowly when Sasuke walked. It seemed he was drawing out the time just to evoke fear within Naruto. This time Naruto drew out his inner strength and gave himself a motivational speech as Sasuke approached.
"Yes, it's taken you quite a while to learn your place. Humans state that werewolves are cursed, but it's quite the opposite. They are the ones that are cursed. Humans are lower life forms that lack intelligence, strength, and sexual appeal." Naruto bit his tongue, drawing blood. The metallic taste was enough to distract him. Naruto weighed the consequences of talking back. If he insulted Sasuke then he might hurt Iruka. Not only would Sasuke hurt Iruka, but also him. If he wanted to protect Iruka then he needed to become immune to Sasuke's insults. Instead of answering Sasuke, he remained quiet. If he allowed Sasuke to speak, he would lessen the time he needed to be in his presence. It was a rather wise decision on Naruto's part to remain quiet.
"Stretch out your tongue. Don't question me, just do it." As soon as the command left his mouth, Sasuke closed the space in between their bodies. Naruto aimed a suspicious look in Sasuke's direction, before doing as he was told. If he were compliant, he would be able to leave.
