Even in its immobilized state Zetsu proved to be a serious threat, using Kaguya’s severed arm to open a portal and firing an ash killing bone at Naruto’s back the very moment he and Sasuke were about to seal Kaguya. “Naruto!” screamed a panicked Kakashi. Naruto seeing this dropped out of six path’s sage mode and took in a deep breath, very exhausted from fighting non-stop for three whole days.
“…Sorry… but you brought this on yourself.” Naruto stated solemnly to Kaguya, feeling slightly guilty for killing her. “And I already told you granny, my name is not Ashura… its Naruto Uzumaki!” Naruto proclaimed proudly, jabbing a thumb at himself. Kaguya’s eye twitched in anger at the granny remark.
“I may have lost…but I won’t go down alone! “Kaguya yelled angrily grabbing Naruto’s leg, digging her nails deep into Naruto’s flesh, injecting the remainder of her chakra into his body. It wasn’t until near the end of his final battle with Sasuke that Naruto realized something weird was going on…. having suddenly gained the ability to absorb chakra out of nowhere. As soon as they got back to the village Naruto wasted no time in having the mark thoroughly examined by the conjoined efforts of Tsunade and Sakura….and after a few weeks of invasive prodding and testing they deemed it safe for use, finding no harmful side-affects whatsoever.
Though they did advise to use it sparingly on the off chance they were wrong….
