Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto, I do not make any money from it. |
A/N: I never do these things, but I have to set a warning. The following piece contains spoilers from the latest Naruto chapters, so if you haven't read them, then I suggest you don't read this unless you're up to date and don't want spoilers. Also, there is character death, but it is not Naruto or Sasuke.
~~ It seemed so wrong that the day was so bright, the sky was blue as far as the eye could see. Birds were heard singing, sitting on their tree perches as their songs filled the air. But the sweet songs did nothing for the heavy hearts that travelled at a slower pace than normal. Footfalls were heavier than normal, not as graceful as they could have been as the bodies moved on. The usual blur that people could glimpse out of the corner of their eye, was not present. Instead, the two ninjas could be seen clearly. It was a rare sight and the farmers in the fields would stop their work just to take the opportunity to observe the sight. The last ninja war had taken a great toll over the nations, trust was very thin among the ninja villages at the present time. Konoha was especially in the midst of the troubles among the hidden villages since they had allowed Sasuke Uchiha to live. His execution had never been carried out, and with that action, Konoha had put itself high on the other Kage’s watch lists. If a traitor such as Sasuke had been allowed to live, then what other promises would Konoha break to protect what they had considered assets to the village? Tensions were thick and this mission hinged everything on it and, if they had failed, Konoha would have to kiss their fragile treaties goodbye and more than likely to find themselves wiped out in less than a week. But the cost of the success was too much, at least in the young men’s eyes it was. The loss of a comrade was never easy, many ninja knew that it was inevitable that they would lose someone close to them, but sometimes the emotions could never be helped. Some never recovered if they lost their partner in a brutal fashion, especially if they witnessed the death firsthand. Most of the time, the ninja had to take a long vacation out of the village to even begin to heal from the loss. Such was the case for Naruto Uzumaki as the mission kept replaying itself in his head. It had seemed so fast during the mission, everything had been such a blur with movement and colors. But as they escaped and headed home, he couldn’t stop the images from playing slowly in his mind. His partner, Sasuke Uchiha was silent as ever, but Naruto knew Sasuke better than he knew himself and knew if he didn’t release whatever pent up emotions he was harboring, things would be bad. But as they traveled on and the memories kept playing, Naruto forgot about Sasuke and the world around him. The loss he suffered today, was no worse than when he had lost Iruka three years again, Obito killing his beloved teacher all because of revenge. Naruto hadn’t spoken for months, retreating back into himself and not interacting with anyone. Even Sasuke had not been able to pull him out of his depression when he was so deep into it, he was basically catatonic. Not one of his friends understood what it had been like to lose the first person who actually recognized you as a human being. It had been so hard to grow up alone in the village, being hated by everyone. But Naruto had always believed people had a bit of good in them and one day it would show. So, he had kept everything to himself and grew up a lonely child. He never had a family or anyone who provided for him. He hadn’t known what a birthday was until the academy and Iruka had asked him what day he had been born. Naruto had been confused at first, not knowing exactly what had been asked. He had simply not answered, since he had not known what to say and he didn’t want to seem stupid in front of potential new friends. But fate hadn’t been kind to him and Iruka had frowned, asking Naruto once again what his birthday was. He had gotten into trouble for not knowing it since the other kids had answered and so Naruto had to stay in during recess to bang erasers together. When Naruto had glanced out of the window, he saw the other children playing or talking and it pulled his heart. He wanted to be out there among them and to finally fill in the loneliness he felt in his young life. But Iruka had kept him in the whole recess period and when the day was over, Naruto had immediately made his way to the Hokage’s tower. If anyone knew his birth date it would have been the old man. And of course it had taken hours before he had been able to see Old Man Sarutobi, and by the time he had finally been let in, Naruto had forgotten what he wanted to ask. So they had just passed time by talking about the first day of the academy. Naruto had answered all the questions with a sad smile, especially when Old Man Sarutobi had asked about friends. It wasn’t a huge secret that Naruto had no one. No one took care of him and he had no parental figure. After he had turned four, he had been sent to live on his own, no wanted the blond child with the scars. Naruto had learned to cook ramen by the time he was five, it was the simplest thing he could do since he had to climb a chair to even reach the small stove. As the class wore on, Naruto had learned, but it was at a slow pace. No one had ever explained anything to him in his previous classes, preferring to just pretend he didn’t exist. It had taken him a few weeks to stop asking questions since the teachers would just turn their heads and continue teaching the other children. Iruka had been so frustrated with him, Naruto had noticed it within the first month of the class. His eye would tick before he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Iruka had done it so often, Naruto knew the routine by heart and started to copy what Iruka did. The action had brought several things to light for Iruka, and the academy teacher had taken off after school to question the Hokage about Naruto’s home life. After that particular visit, Iruka’s attitude had changed even though Naruto had been suspicious at first. No one really ever changed their mind about him that lasted too long. But as the year wore on, the knife had never came and Naruto’s smile when he realized that Iruka had truly cared for him was huge and bright. He had his first friend and hopefully the first member of a family. It was after class one day when Iruka had treated Naruto to real ramen at Ichiraku’s. The child had never tasted anything so wonderful before as he slurped the noodles. They were so much better than the ones that were instant. There was no hint of cardboard aftertaste in the noodles and the added ingredients of pork and egg were simply brilliant. Those had been the good days, when it had just been him and Iruka. The time they had spent together had a bigger impact on Naruto than Iruka had known. For the first time in his young life he had a father figure and at night, he would dream of Iruka adopting him and taking him home. The adoption never came and once again Naruto had a wounded heart. But he understood by then they could still be a family even though it wasn’t official, he knew Iruka loved him. Naruto had a family and he was the happiest child in Konoha because of it. The memories that assaulted his tortured mind were too much and Naruto shut his emotions down. He was still on a mission even though they were out of enemy territory. Everything pertaining to the mission was stuffed into a box in the back of his mind, he would deal with them when the time was right. Naruto was a ninja and as such, nothing should compromise the mission, not even the loss of his last father figure. Kakashi was the last link he had to his father and the untold stories were taken with the great Copy Ninja. That sting was only a small one, but it was pushed back and numbness took it’s place. The rest of the trip back to Konoha was a blur, only Sasuke’s presence beside him kept him on track. Naruto was known to to wander if there wasn’t a team member beside him after a particularly rough mission. The world around Naruto became a blur, the colors and people melding into each other so much he didn’t pay attention to the journey home. He was surprised when the gates of Konoha had came into view, Naruto wondered where time had gone to. The trek through Konoha seemed longer than the trip home, time seemed to have slowed down as Naruto and Sasuke hopped from rooftop to rooftop. But it seemed the closer they got to the Hokage’s tower, the more they slowed down. Both ninja knew once they stepped into the office and delivered the report, everything they had been through the past three days would be real. It those memories Naruto didn’t want to face, to go through reliving again when he didn’t have to be on the run and was able to actually sit down and analyze every little detail and sort out what he could have done differently. He battered them back down as they decided to enter through the Hokage’s open window, something their old sensei enjoyed doing almost daily just to irritate Tsunade. Her annoyed expression was the first thing they saw, obviously she had sensed their chakra signatures as they didn’t hide them. But she frowned when she realized that there was a person missing from their team. She crossed her arms, but didn’t ask the question when she saw the grim expression that passed over Naruto’s face after he had removed his mask. Sasuke didn’t follow Naruto’s lead this time, preferring to keep the mask on for now. It was obvious that things had went very wrong and she wouldn’t push for answers until one of them spoke. “The mission was a success,” Naruto answered in a grave tone, grimacing as the word success left his lips. The blue eyes didn’t have their normal spark in them, instead they were dull. At least Tsunade could gage Naruto’s mood, Sasuke, however, was a different story. His face was as immovable as a mountain and there was no hint of his current emotional state. She didn’t like that one bit. “Full report, Fox, right now,” she commanded, immediately shifting into Hokage mode and pinning each ANBU with a serious glare. She would expect a full synopsis of what happened, nothing would be left out and she silently dared them to not give a full, disclosed report. Naruto knew immediately Sasuke wouldn’t give out the report, so it would be left up to him to deliver it. He just wasn’t sure where to start. He knew Tsunade didn’t want to hear about the boring details and he frowned as he continued to think. Naruto didn’t think he could start where things had went wrong and how they were almost captured because of a stupid mistake. “Spit it out, brat!” Tsunade hissed, her golden eyes narrowing as Naruto shifted nervously. “We reached our target in no time, it was smooth sailing until...until we had him cornered,” he finally answered. His blue eyes not looking at her, but at the wall unfocused as he tried to put his thoughts in order. It would be a pretty sight if he continued to push the limits of Tsunade’s temper. “The target already knew we were after him,” Sasuke answered stiffly, removing his mask in the safety of Tsunade’s office. “He was more than prepared for us and only Kakashi had been anticipating it.” After that, Sasuke went into detail of the mission. He explained everything that had went wrong and how Kakashi had sacrificed his life to save his former students. Naruto watched on, frowning at the tone his partner was using. When talking, Sasuke always had a hint of annoyance in his voice, as if it were a chore to even speak to those around him. Flashbacks of the mission flooded Naruto’s mind as Sasuke continued speaking, giving Tsunade every little detail in his report. It was one thing to relive the whole thing in his mind, but to have someone talk about it, made it more real to Naruto. As his eyes shifted from the wall to Sasuke, there wasn’t a hint of remorse or loss on the beautiful pale face. The bored expression on the other’s man’s face had Naruto frowning, there was no way Sasuke was taking Kakashi’s death this lightly. Blue eyes narrowed in suspicion as the report was ended and a scroll was pulled out. “We recovered his body,” Sasuke said, handing the scroll to Tsunade. “You may do with it as you wish. Let’s go home, Naruto.” Sasuke was already out of the tower when Naruto had realized what Sasuke had said. Sparing the Hokage an apologetic glance, he went to the window and took off. Following Sasuke home wasn’t hard since they didn’t feel a need to hide their chakra signatures in their home village. It didn’t take Naruto long to catch up with Sasuke since the other had faulted for a moment on a shingle before regaining his balance. Worry crept into Naruto, Sasuke never faulted before, not even in battle. It was a rare occurrence and had only happened two times Naruto could think of and both occurred while they were still in the academy. Blue eyes watched Sasuke like a hawk as they made their way across Konoha, ignoring the streets below as they headed home. Sasuke had only faltered one time after the first, making Naruto’s frown deepen even more. His partner wasn’t one who shared anything freely and if Naruto wanted answers, he would have to push Sasuke much like the other had pushed him when he had lost Iruka. Naruto wasn’t a master at mind games, everyone was aware of that fact. He couldn’t be like Ibiki and extract information from a few misplaced lies and implied truths. After having Sasuke back for a few years, Naruto had forgotten what it had been like to even get him to open up. The task ahead of him was a daunting one and he didn’t look forward to it all. Sometimes violence was needed to just get Sasuke to express any sort of emotion. And Naruto despised that with every fiber of his being, but since there was no alternative most of the time, he had to resort to it. When they reached their small house on the edge of the old Uchiha compound, Sasuke was the first one in. He was in a rush, but Naruto couldn’t discern why. It was unlike the other ninja to be that way, always preferring to take his time. It was such a sudden change in personality that Naruto charged in after Sasuke and swung the other man around by his arm. The familiar, blank expression met his own confused one and for once Naruto was at a loss as to what to say. “Let go, moron,” Sasuke hissed, his eyes narrowing in anger at the treatment. “I have to clean up and so do you.” “The hell is with you?” Naruto snarled, bristling at the tone Sasuke had used towards him. Their relationship was volatile to say the least, but when they were on edge, it escalated fast. Naruto was more than aware of this fact and he had noticed it from the day they began seeing one another. He had tried to curb that aspect of their relationship, knowing full well that it would never disappear. “Nothing,” was the only answer Sasuke supplied as he ripped his arm from Naruto’s grasp and made his way deeper into the house. Naruto was unsatisfied with the one word answer, but ignored his want to go and question Sasuke right away. He had blood on him and right now, he deemed washing it off before confronting Sasuke more important. He was thankful there were two bathrooms in the house as Sasuke took off for the one he used. It had made everything easier when it came to their missions since most of the time they were paired up. Slamming the door to his bathroom, Naruto violently stripped his ANBU gear off. It piled on the floor where he left as he jerked the knobs to the shower faucet on and let the steam from the hot water fill the room. He glanced quickly at the mirror and didn’t flinch at the horrible sight he made. Moving the shower curtain to the side, Naruto stepped under the scalding hot water. He let the water slide down his body as it relieved some of the tension in his taunt muscles. He closed his eyes and finally let the mission replay in his mind, letting the reality of what happened wash over him like the water he was under. Gone was the ANBU member Fox and in his place plain Naruto appeared. The man who had realized just what he had lost and started to grieve as he slid down to the bottom of the tub. Tears stung in his eyes as he remembered Kakashi taking a blow meant for him. His own stupidity coupled with his usual cocky nature had placed them all in danger and cost his last father figure his life. It was a hurt that stung so deep his body wracked with the force of his sobs. The only small comfort Naruto had at this point was Kakashi’s recovered body. The thought that his old sensei’s body was in Konoha was a form of relief. Naruto hated the contemplation if they had to have left the body back in Rain country, in enemy territory. Even the thought of it had him shivering in disgust. Kakashi had deserved a burial worthy of a hero and to be at rest in his home country beside Iruka. Hugging his knees close, Naruto stared at the wall in front of him. He had hated the plain bathroom walls when he moved in. So he decorated it with small foxes, the colors bright and cheery. But they had no effect on him now. He lost someone who had been precious to him and could never gain them back like he had Sasuke. There were very few who had actually cared about him when he was younger. And the confession he had from Kakashi a few months after the team had formed, came to mind. “You remind me of a precious comrade I once had, Naruto,” Kakashi had said, his one eye serious as it lit with the fire in front of them. The others had long since went to sleep, leaving the two ninja awake and keeping watch over the camp. “He sacrificed himself to save me. Seeing you now, made realize there may be hope for your generation.” Naruto could feel the ruffle of Kakashi’s hand in his hair as the man had smiled through his ever present mask. He had never heard those words from anyone outside of Iruka and to hear them from a new sensei had a new hope burning deep within Naruto. He had been sure Kakashi had known of his permanent tenant and still had touched him as if he were a normal boy. The smile that had been on his face after that night hadn’t left for weeks. The water was now beginning to run cold, but Naruto couldn’t bring himself to care. He was lost in his memories of the good times he shared with Kakashi. He didn’t want to turn away from those memories as they provided him some comfort. Kakashi had died protecting a comrade, someone he loved. He would have been happy at that thought. Wiping the tears from his eyes, even though it did no good, Naruto realized Kakashi had died protecting him. The older ninja had given him the ultimate gift, life. If the Copy Ninja hadn’t stepped up and saved Naruto, he would be gone and Sasuke would be lost. Essentially, Kakashi had protected Sasuke by saving his life. With a clearer understanding of Kakashi’s actions, Naruto stood and mechanically began to wash his body. The water was freezing at this point, but he couldn’t bring himself to care. With a better understanding of exactly why Kakashi had put himself in the way of death, Naruto vowed to make Sasuke break. The other ninja needed to see Kakashi’s death as a gift, even if it was a morbid one. Quickly washing the blood, grime, and suds off his body, Naruto turned the water off and stepped out into the much warmer bathroom. He hastily toweled his body dry and folded the towel around his waist. He ignored the sullied ANBU gear on the floor and decided he could pick it up later. Right now, he needed to check on Sasuke to make sure the other man was at least cleaning himself. It wasn’t that he was a slob, but sometimes after a mission, Sasuke was still running on adrenaline and refused to change until he was rid of the excess energy. As Naruto watched Sasuke leave his own bathroom, his body relaxed at the sight of a naked clean and fresh Sasuke. Hopefully it was a sign that things would be easy, but somehow Naruto knew it wouldn’t be that simple. He leaned against the wall and flared his chakra, alerting Sasuke that he was lurking near him. It didn’t take long for those dark eyes to pin Naruto with an irritated glance before he moved to their shared bedroom. Groaning in annoyance, Naruto pushed away from the wall and followed Sasuke. He wouldn’t leave the other man alone now that he knew Sasuke still had everything under an iron lid. His bare feet made hardly any noise as he made his way to their bedroom. They slept on the first floor for various reasons, one of them being in case of a fire. Blue eyes didn’t miss anything as Sasuke methodically packed his unsoiled gear away. He had probably either thrown the dirty ANBU clothes away or had them waiting to be washed. “You’ve hardly said anything,” Naruto said, lingering in the doorway. He needed to hide intent he had on getting Sasuke to talk. If the other man caught any clue of the conversation, Naruto was sure he would be shut out of the house. “You’re one to talk,” Sasuke snorted sarcastically, not even glancing in Naruto’s direction as he picked their room up. But Naruto knew the room had been cleaned before they left, Sasuke always made sure the house was in perfect order before missions. The tension thickened in the room, cackling through the air as Naruto stepped further in. “What the hell does that mean?” Naruto asked, barely containing the growl in his voice. He had to clench his fists to make sure they wouldn’t strike out. “It was a simple statement, easy to understand. Unless, of course, you’ve gone stupid,” Sasuke retorted vehemently. “Which I hope isn’t the case since I would need a new partner. It’s bad enough I’m considering one right now.” “What the hell, bastard?” Naruto snarled, stalking over to his partner and gripping the other’s upper arms tightly. “You won’t work with anyone else!” “Maybe it’s time I start,” was the acidic answer as Sasuke tried to break free of the strong grasp. The admission hit Naruto right between his eyes, but instead of loosening his grip, he tightened it as his eyes shone with a flash of red. The Kyuubi still resided within him, though the demon didn’t make a fuss anymore and pretty much stayed harmless. But there were still times when Naruto was angered enough, Kurama would react in an attempt to protect Naruto. “What do you mean?” It was obvious by the edge in Naruto’s tone he was not pleased with Sasuke’s words. “You allowed yourself to be distracted and in turn it compromised the mission,” Sasuke answered as though it was obvious. But the omission of Kakashi’s death had Naruto worried and coupled with the fact the other man wanted a new partner, it had him irritated. “So you believe that I would allow you to die like Kakashi? How could you think that?” Naruto’s voice wasn’t raised, showing he had a tight rein on his emotions at the moment. But when Sasuke entered the fray, the tight straps snapped and the control was gone. Those straps were now hanging on by a thread. “It’s the most logical thought, if you were distracted on this mission then future ones are possible as well. I wish to live, Naruto.” The tone used was matter of fact and hardly held room for argument, which infuriated him to no end. “How dare you think that!” Naruto growled, the sound coming from deep in his chest as he pinned Sasuke to the wall harshly. He was growing tired of the behavior and would correct it in this very moment. But Sasuke’s eyes were pinned over his shoulder, looking at something in the room. Confused, Naruto turned around but saw nothing. When he was facing Sasuke again, the ever present scowling expression was back. “I can think what I want, moron. You cannot think for me,” Sasuke responded with a venom that wasn’t there before. It was how Naruto knew he was making progress. All that was needed were a few more well placed shoves and he would break and Naruto would be there to pick up the pieces. “No, you’re right on that. But fuck your pride, Sasuke, you cared for Kakashi!” Naruto hissed, pinning the smaller body harder against the wall, ignoring how close they were. The close proximity of Sasuke’s body never failed to arouse Naruto, and this moment was no exception as his mind fought against it. There were so many thoughts running through his mind as to why this was wrong, but they were battered back. “He was nothing more than my sensei and team member,” Sasuke said coldly, but his eyes spoke a different story. For once they didn’t match the tone that fell from thin lips, instead there was something wild and feral written in the dark depths. It was from that gaze he knew he needed to push more. “So, you’re saying that his bond meant nothing to you? What if that had been me, Sasuke? Am I nothing more than a team member?” Fire burned deep in Naruto’s eyes as he hauled Sasuke up the wall to meet him at eye level. He scanned the dark eyes, knowing they would lead him to the truth instead of Sasuke’s words. “You...” Sasuke began and then paused, as if he were unsure how to proceed. It was the first response Naruto had gotten that wasn’t born out of disinterest. “You know full well what the bond between Kakashi and I was.” “But do you?” Naruto retaliated, never blinking as he continued to look into the eyes in front of him. “It was a bond of team member, like I stated earlier, are you dense?” But the usual bite behind the words was gone and Naruto knew he was close to breaking the barrier that surrounded Sasuke. “So he meant nothing to you? Even if he died to protect you from losing me? Sometimes you’re the idiot, Sasuke. Kakashi’s death was the way he wanted to go, protecting those he loved. You can’t tell me he didn’t love you like a son, or do you need me to refresh your memory?” Naruto sneered, his lip curling slightly as he spoke, his eyes cold towards Sasuke. It was an expression Sasuke had never seen before in Naruto’s blue eyes and it cut him to his core. A pale fist shot out at Naruto, but he was able to catch it easily while keeping Sasuke pinned to the wall. He snarled as he slammed Sasuke’s wrist into the wall, the loud sound of flesh connecting with wood echoing through the house. Sasuke opened his mouth to protest, but Naruto covered the lips with his own. The force of Naruto attaching himself to Sasuke sent the other man’s head against the wall. He was rough with the kiss, bruising Sasuke’s lips as he moved his own in a rough manner. Naruto didn’t care about his partner’s comfort in this moment, only wanting to pull a reaction from the otherwise silent man. Sasuke’s legs wrapped around his hips, but it was not a gesture of acceptance. It was more than likely due to the fact that his feet couldn’t touch the floor and he had nowhere else to place them. Sasuke’s other hand came around to grip Naruto’s shoulder, steadying himself under the force of Naruto’s kiss. Naruto was able to force Sasuke’s mouth open, his tongue immediately diving in as his hands adjusted themselves to support the other’s weight. Sasuke tried to counteract him, but Naruto’s warning growl from his chest had the other retreating, letting the blond plunder his mouth. Sasuke could only clutch the shoulders under his hands as he realized Naruto was making a point. The grip Sasuke had on Naruto’s shoulders lessened as he kissed him harder. A sharp tooth caught on the corner of a bruised mouth, the tangy, coppery taste filling Naruto’s mouth as he pulled away. But it wasn’t long before he attached his lips to Sasuke’s neck, biting down on the tender, pale skin. He was careful not to draw blood, knowing it could set Sasuke off and Naruto just didn't want to deal with that right now. Sasuke wasn’t making a sound and it made Naruto cold inside. By now, he would have a sound out of the other man. It didn’t sit right Naruto as he moved his mouth along the neck, trying to garner any kind of reaction from Sasuke. It wasn’t until his hands had slipped under Sasuke’s cloth covered ass he received a slap. But it didn’t faze Naruto any as he adjusted his hips, the towel falling to pool on the floor around his feet. His erection was able to bounce against his stomach as he fused himself with Sasuke. Molding their bodies until there were no cracks between their skin. Naruto’s mouth nipped a harsh trail down Sasuke’s neck and to his collarbone. He felt the other’s wakening erection grow with each nick of his teeth and it pleased Naruto. He hummed in appreciation until Sasuke had tried to once again force Naruto off his body. The hum morphed into a growl as Naruto whipped his head from Sasuke’s collarbone and a hand slipped from the plump ass and into dark hair. He forced the head back harshly, eyes glowing dangerously as he nipped Sasuke’s neck in warning. But it was not heeded as the smaller body tried to push him away. Angered, Naruto moved both hands to Sasuke’s waist and turned the other ninja around so he was facing the wall. Fusing the front of his body with the back of Sasuke’s, Naruto forced him against the wall. The normally cheerful man was not in a playful mood, it was written in his body language with the forceful way he had pinned Sasuke to hard surface. Naruto always had Sasuke facing him during sex. No words were said as Naruto shoved two fingers into Sasuke’s mouth with a force that was slightly familiar.Sasuke bit on them harshly, but it didn’t make Naruto pull his fingers out. Instead, he forced them deeper into Sasuke’s mouth, almost gagging the Uchiha before he finally started to lick them. The only sound that rose from Naruto was a pleased grunt as Sasuke did as he was silently commanded to. Once the fingers were copiously coated, Naruto withdrew them and placed a kiss on the back of Sasuke’s neck before gliding his hand down Sasuke’s back and circling the puckered entrance. Naruto waited a few moments before plunging a finger in harshly, Sasuke’s back arching as the sudden intrusion startled him. The assault wasn’t stopped, Sasuke wasn’t given time to adjust as finger after finger entered him. He wasn’t used to this treatment but knew better than to speak up. A fire was burning in each of them, consuming them both as they joined and increased in heat. The flames were fed by Naruto’s violent fingers in Sasuke’s ass as the other man forced himself not to buck on them. It was clear as day Naruto knew what Sasuke wanted to do, so the fingers went even deeper in and found a gland he was more than familiar with. The long fingers brushed along it, making the slim body shudder. But it wasn’t the response Naruto wanted or needed from the other man. He figured Sasuke was stretched enough and withdrew his fingers. Naruto used his feet to spread the pale legs apart, giving him better access to Sasuke’s ass. One hand was firmly planted on the wall beside the dark head while the other guided Naruto’s cock into the tight heat that awaited him. The slide in was rough, as he was bigger than his fingers. He didn’t allow Sasuke the time to adjust before pulling out and pushing back in. Naruto set a pace without considering his partner, taking him harshly as he plunged repeatedly into Sasuke. Naruto’s grunts filled the room as he fucked Sasuke, his own pleasure coming first as he dived into the warm body. He missed the other’s prostate on purpose, barely brushing against it in punishment. Not even his hands roamed Sasuke’s body as they stayed planted on the wall. The body in front of him stiffened, the muscles growing taunt as Naruto’s obvious neglect of Sasuke’s own needs. Naruto growled when Sasuke tried to move a hand to touch Naruto’s hand beside his head and it was withdrawn quickly. The smaller body trembled as Sasuke attempted to turn his head, but was met with Naruto’s turning it back around. An uncharacteristic whine left Sasuke’s throat at the action, clearly stating he didn’t like what was happening. But Naruto didn’t care, he continued to move his hips. He wanted a different reaction from Sasuke and was determined to get the response he wanted. Moving his hips harshly, Naruto forced the other body closer to the wall, trapping Sasuke’s cock against it harshly. Blue eyes closed as Naruto refused to glance at Sasuke, ravaging his lover’s body in a way that was unfamiliar to both men. The sound of the wall creaking against Sasuke’s body joined Naruto’s grunts. There was no sound from Sasuke, no groan of pleasure or any hint that he liked what Naruto was doing to his body. The wallpaper was irritating Sasuke, the graininess of the paper against his skin was uncomfortable. He attempted to buck against Naruto once again, trying to signal his displeasure to his lover. But a bruising grip on his hips that kept in place was the only answer he received. Sasuke beyond frustrated at this point. His irritation welled up in his as Naruto bit his neck again, this time drawing a small amount of blood. Sasuke was hyper of the red liquid dripping down his back slowly, pooling down at Naruto’s pistoning cock. But that didn’t deter Naruto and the cock kept sliding in. Naruto was so blindsided by his pleasure that he never noticed Sasuke gathered his chakra as he was bucked out of the Uchiha. He was sent across the room with a mild jutsu, landing in front of their bed. Naruto’s eyes were dazed as Sasuke came into focus, his body stiff and riddled with forming bruises. The scowl on his face was deeper than Naruto had ever seen it. Guilt flooded Naruto’s face as he took in the state of his naked lover. He had never meant to take things this far. Moving his protesting body from the floor, Naruto immediately pulled a protesting Sasuke into his arms and forced him to turn around. Gently kissing the still bleeding bite mark, Naruto made his apology there as Sasuke continued to fight him. Naruto didn’t say much as he lightly caressed Sasuke’s body as he placed his lips over the marks he had left. Soon there were small, almost undetectable, pleased sounds making their way out of his lover’s throat. Then, Naruto shifted his body to gain access to the front of Sasuke’s body. Warm lips glided over cool skin, making Sasuke shiver in anticipation. Naruto danced around his chest, moving down lower and lower until he found the finger shaped bruise marks on slim hips. The lips were barely there on Sasuke’s skin, Naruto’s warm breath ghosting over the pimpled flesh. A warm trail of kisses moved inward, Naruto’s eyes focused on Sasuke’s face. The blond never blinked as he gave the cock in front of his face a quick lick. But the hot, wet mouth didn’t engulf Sasuke’s cock like the Uchiha had anticipated. Instead, Naruto trailed his mouth upward and kissed his navel. Naruto moved away from Sasuke, sitting back on his heels and ceasing all contact he had with the body of his lover. Blue eyes moved up the pale body slowly, memorizing every detail as though he were going to lose Sasuke soon. When he finally settled on Sasuke’s face, his expression was intense, eyes glowing with intensity as they bore into the other’s man soul. Tears sprung at Sasuke’s eyes when he realized he could never hide anything from Naruto. The other man always knew what he hid in his soul and no manner of covering it up could deceive the man. He had been foolish to think that Naruto wouldn’t be able to read him, when in fact, the Uzumaki was the only person alive who could do it so easily. Falling to his knees, Sasuke immediately sought out Naruto. His eyes begging for the other man to open his arms as he stayed still, his body filled with tension as Naruto didn’t move for several seconds. But when those long arms opened wide, a grunt of relief left his lips as he maneuvered his body to meld with Naruto’s. His head ducked under Naruto’s chin as he finally broke, tears flowing more freely as the other man adjusted himself so he was sitting on the floor. Naruto provided as much as comfort as he could, his hands running up and down Sasuke’s naked back as he rocked them both gently. Pleas from Sasuke’s lips reached Naruto’s ears and he immediately shushed Sasuke, reassuring him that he wasn’t going anywhere. It was rare for Naruto to see his lover so broken and even pleading. As far as he was aware, Sasuke didn’t need him. But it warmed his heart to hear Sasuke say that he needed Naruto. There was never reassurance from Sasuke that he was wanted as a partner, but now that he had it, Naruto refused to let it go. It didn’t matter if he heard it just this once, all that mattered was the fact he heard Sasuke say he needed him. ---------------- A few days later found Naruto and Sasuke standing at Kakashi’s grave. The funeral had been over for hours, but they had felt the need to be there alone. Naruto’s hand was touching the gravestone, tears prickling at his eyes. The final gift he had given the couple was precious and Sasuke had finally realized what they had been given, a chance Kakashi never had with Iruka. Naruto wound an arm around Sasuke’s shoulders, the man was standing as close to him as he dared in public. Konoha had eyes and while their relationship was public, there were moments they didn’t share. In a moment of weakness, Sasuke rested his head on Naruto’s shoulders and closed his eyes, whispering a farewell to their sensei. While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
