Ok this is Narutoverse but set after the war so they're all in their twenties this fic has some dark moments for Hinata.

Sakura was annoyed, it wasn't fair, Naruto was her best friend, why wasn't she allowed to at least observe the treatment of their future Hokage? After the war had ended she and Naruto had spent a lot of time together, between them they had redeemed Sasuke and returned him to Konoha, it hadn't gone completely as expected and Sasuke had spent many weeks with the torture and interrogation unit until finally he was released into their custody, as a result team seven had a shared house with their old sensei living just next door. This year they had all entered their twenties but, it would be years before Sasuke was given a free civilian's status and even longer before he was considered to train as a shinobi again and by then he might be too old to become anything like he would before but the dark haired man was finally at peace with his family's demise and had decided to invest him time and money (the Uchiha fortune was still his) in reinventing the Uchiha District. The entire place was to be pulled down and rebuilt, it was good for Konoha as it meant a lot of the builders who had run out of work, after the war ended a slight recession had begun so now they were guaranteed work and as a result Sasuke spent more time with civilians than with shinobi.

In stark contrast Naruto had spent all his time with ninja, he was shadowing Tsunade mostly only going on missions that would help him to understand what it mean to build diplomatic relations. The future Hokage was constantly training, studying and working meaning that his entire social life revolved around the people he lived with, he was constantly recognised by everyone around him though, they knew who he was and he was a symbol of greatness to his people and the civilian girls Sasuke was close to were more interested in the blond Adonis than a brooding Hades.

Sakura was becoming a well recognised medic nin and despite what everyone thought had no interest in her team mates, it was something she occasionally considered when the two men were on dates with various girls or when she bumped into a girl about to make the walk of shame. She rarely dated herself but she like to console herself that her career was more important and there was no way she could consider settling down to have a family before she was almost thirty. She was just affirming herself of this when the current Hokage came out of the room she'd been pacing around reminding her of why she was there in the first place.

"How is he?" Sakura asked looking at her teacher with obvious trepidation.

"That last mission took a lot out of him" Tsunade tried to sound confident but she felt anything but "he needs time to heal, Kyubi is working his magic as we speak but I'm worried about the way the chakra's forming"

"How do you mean?"

"The red chakra is becoming more prominent as though Naruto's regular chakra is just secondary."

"Well what does that mean?"

"I don't know, so much about a jinchurikki's chakra is unknown, it depends on the individual affected their strength, their state of mind and their chakra control"

"And Naruto's control sucks" Sakura sighed

"But he's strong and reasonably sane" Tsunade looked back at the room with a smile "I have real hopes he'll wake up completely normal again."

"Whatever that is" Sakura managed to make her teacher chuckle and the two of them felt a little better "once my shift is done can I watch over him for the night?"

"Of course, I'll set up a bed in there for you."

"Thank you my lady."

Entering Naruto's room Sakura's eyes were instantly drawn to the bright bouquets that had been delivered, she felt bad for not heading down to the hospital shop to get him something but she would remain with him whilst he slept and he would appreciate that more than any gift she could purchase. She wandered along looking at each posey individually until she reached one with no card, they were orange flowers she couldn't place off hand but she soon decided who had sent them.

"Oh Hinata" sighing Sakura was tempted to put a note on forging the shy girls writing and leaving a declaration of her undying love on it but Hinata was too honest and would deny the writing of it leaving them in a worse state than before "One day girl I'm going to lock you two in a closet but..." she looked over to where her friend slept and smiled to herself "but I think I would be better waiting until he's sown a few more wild oats. Oh poor Hinata."

Stretching the doctor made her way over to the bed and removing her clothes and then replacing them with a pair of scrubs to sleep in she slid between the sheets sighing in exhaustion. Despite her intention to remain awake to monitor her friend occasionally it felt so good to be in bed after a long day that it didn't take long for Sakura to fall fast asleep, as a result the dark red chakra that began seeping through to room went completely unnoticed.

How long had it been since he last felt this free? He couldn't say exactly but upon waking from a nap to find himself in full control of his hosts body he'd almost leapt from the bed and shouted aloud. Luckily he'd remained silent as Screeching Sakura (as he often thought of her) was lying in the same room.

It would be so easy to kill her, the knowledge pleased him but he knew that he would not inhabit this body for long and where would killing the little cunt get him? There was no way he could destroy the town with the boys body feeling so weak, any destruction would be minimal and once Naruto woke up he would either kill himself or have himself locked up and then Kyubi would be well and truly screwed... now that was something he hadn't done in a long time.

He wanted some fun, Kurama's eyes flicked around the room at the flowers and presents there, each one had a notelet with well meant messages on them but there was one small nosegay with nothing. Sniffing it he made out the tiger lily's scent but the other scent was one most people would miss, the smell made sense, after all of the konoha twelve she was the only one not to have left a note Kurama could guess why. Poor little bitch so head over heels for the boy had been crushed when Naruto did not even respond to her almost last words to him, they were words the blond had often thought on but had never done anything about, after all she was just his friend Hinata Hyuga.

Sleep usually came easily to Hinata, after all the stress of family, all the training with her team and the countless hours of study to improve her control she normally dropped off straight away. Tonight though she was tossing and turning, every time she got into one position and decided it was comfortable it would soon feel like she was sleeping on a rock and she'd have to move again. Finally lying on her back she stared up at the ceiling and wondered what was making her so restless. She didn't lie there long before a sound outside made her frown, if one of the Main branch Hyuga were sneaking in this late they were definitely past curfew and could suffer dearly and it was was a branch member then they had landed in the wrong area... suspecting someone was intoxicated she decided to help them out, getting up she headed to the window and looked out, there was no one there. moving back in she was about to go check the hallway when a sound made her turn back to the window.

"N-Naruto-kun?" Hinata was stunned to find her childhood crush on her windowsill looking down at her with a cruel smile on his face.

"Hello Hinata-chaaan" he drawled letting himself in and closing his entryway behind him.

"What are you doing here you should be in hospital" she crossed her arms across her front, she hadn't thought of this before but her camisole night dress was far too skimpy to be seen by anyone else.

"Huh? oh yeah...." he was careless as he walked around the room letting one finger trail around the walls leaving a stream or red chakra to slowly spread across the room. the colour of the chakra spoke volumes to Hinata and she tried to keep calm as she spoke

"What is wrong with Naruto?"

"I'm fine my dear" Kyubi responded knowing that she had guessed all but letting her stew for a bit, her struggle not to panic made him amused.

"You are not Naruto"

"Ah but I am, at least any civilian girl will think I am, won't she? Even certain shinobi women would be fooled by me, you are not because you know the boy too well, you knew almost instantly this was the wrong man."

"I don't understand"

"If I crept into some civilian or lesser shinobi's room then they would not be able to see as you can that I am not Naruto, am I right?"

"You are right" she agreed wondering where this was going.

"Exactly which is why I am going to give you a chance to save Naruto's life."

"What?" her Byakugan blazed and she was ready to do battle in a second but Kyubbi just laughed,

"It is not that simple my dear, there is no enemy to fight, there is no battle to win, only an agreement for us to come to."

"An agreement?" she relaxed a little getting out of her battle ready pose.

"Yes, you see there is something I want, something I can take from you or any female I choose" he walked forward his eyes hungry, reaching out he let his hand rest on her hip for a moment before sliding it round to grope her ass "can you guess what it is yet?"

"No" she pushed him away knowing exactly what he meant but not wanting any part in it "I can guess, but I tell you here and now NO!"

"So you will not save Naruto" he asked with a sly smile "and here I thought you loved him"

He didn't turn "Yes?"

"What are you going to do to him?"

"What does it matter? You've already turned me away"

"If Naruto needs my help I will always do what i can, please tell me what you have planned."

"Any woman would be willing to sleep with Naruto, just go to a bar, pick one up" Hinata hated herself for saying it but the facts of the situation were there and anything that took Kyubi's mind from rape would be a good thing.

"You are on birth control, Naruto carries no disease thanks to me."

"My clan" her eyes drifted to the walls but even without her byakugan active she could see the dark chakra covering her surroundings

"I've already taken care of that." his smirk was more than a little cruel "so you see all you have to do is say yes." He could see that she was beginning to falter in her adamant stance against the whole thing and so continued to talk "you've saved him once, are you really so afraid to do it again?"

"I'm not afraid" she whispered "I just don't want to betray him"

"It would be more of a betrayal to say no, it would destroy his future" Kurama let his hands run up her arms "I would never let anyone know, not even Naruto would ever discover it."

"No one" she asked wanting to reassure herself not fighting him as he stepped even closer.

"I shall never tell a soul" he promised gathering up her nightgown to reveal her long legs, he carried on raising it and she shivered as her lower body was uncovered "arms up my dear" mechanically she obeyed her heart was pounding and she couldn't stop herself from shaking. Kurama hadn't been this aroused in some time, the last girl Naruto had been with had barely registered, just a very easy lay with a lot of screaming. She fought him now, her hands flailed and she used all her strength to push him away but even if she hadn't been reacting in terror and been able to focus her attack it would have done no good he was too strong, she cried out for help calling out all manner of names with the most prevailing one being her precious Naruto. That was how he came, her under him writhing in agony and begging for him to stop calling out to his host to wake up and stop him, it was the singularly most satisfying experience he'd had in decades.

When she realised he'd stopped moving she stopped to, exhausted and traumatised Hinata let her entire body go limp and she fell flat on the bed. It was over, she didn't care what happened to her now, she'd stopped him from damaging the man she loved in the only way she could.

Looking down Kurama smirked she was still bleeding from the cut he gave her so he leaned down and gave her cut a long lick, she stiffened and so did a certain part of his anatomy. He wished he could stay but he was beginning to feel the first signs of Naruto's recovery which meant he needed to head back to the hospital.

"Well that wasn't bad for the first time" Kurama told her pulling out of her and casually redressing

"F-first time?" Turning to look at him Hinata clutched the blanket even tighter to her body in an attempt to hide what he had already seen.

"Well from time to time I plan to come out again.... you don't have a problem with that do you?" he sounded so casual like he was asking to use the bathroom or for a cup if sugar.

"But I can't, someone might find out, he might find out!" within less than a second he was in front of her again on all fours staring her in the eye.

"The only way he'll find out is if I tell him, he will remember none of this, and if you are completely compliant he will never have to know."

"But..."

"We of course could always go back to my other option of allowing my baser instincts to just take over on any girl I choose... I wonder if the Fire Daimyo's daughter is as nubile I remember?" he trailed off smirking at her horrified expression. "I'll let you know when and where my dear" he muttered pressing his forehead against hers "You'll just need to show up"

"I can't, I just can't"

"You will, and you know you will" he smirked at her and as she opened her mouth to argue he grabbed her face in his hands and kissed her hard. She struggled trying to push him away but he wasn't going to move till he was done, he plundered her mouth by force stealing her first kiss in an unnecesarily cruel way then he was gone before she knew it.

Sitting in her bed Hinata wept pitifully but she had done what she needed to in order to protect her love, Naruto could never know though, never, ever, ever.

Returning to the hospital he found that Sakura was still sleeping, he hadn't been gone so he wasn't really surprised, undressing he pulled on a hospital gown and climbed back into the bed, he had a mistress that would do anything he liked.

Things were looking up.

So pretty bad for Hinata in this one, I'm not planning to put this up on ff.net, its going to have a lot more scenes like this, I may write another fic for that site I have one in mind and its going to have lemons but it's have some chapters without unlike this one which will be pretty much a lemonfest.
