This story is based on an old Native American myth called 'The Raven and the Sun.' I respond to reviews here: http://xiophelia.livejournal.com
~~ The white raven circled the sky, looking for a place to perch. But in the darkness he could not see a suitable branch. He had been dealing with this problem for ages. Of course he had searched long and far for any sign of a light that shone brighter than any other. But so far his search had been fruitless. He took a chance and slowing descended from the sky, using his talons to feel out any surface that he could land on. He cawed happily when he came into contact with a solid surface. He started to preen his feathers, it had been a long while since he had paid any attention to them. He knew that of all the animals, he was the prettiest. Many a human had complimented him on his beautiful snow white feathers. So the raven took a great pride in them. The sound of footsteps caught his attention and the raven cocked his head. He was trying to decipher whether or not the approaching figure would be a danger. Some of the other animals were very jealous of the raven and his white feathers. He stretched his wings, ready to take flight when he caught sight of a young woman who was muttering about the dark and how the little brat could see better than her in the dark because of his shining hair. This intrigued the raven. He had never heard of a human with a shining head before in all his travels. The white raven made his decision in that moment and used old magic to turn himself into a small pine needle. He knew that the young woman would put him in her tea that very night from her mumbling and he could use his magic to grow into a human. He would have that light and bring it to this dark, abysmal world. `~` Ino smiled as she drank her tea and watched her father make shadow animals. The very young boy that lived with her and her father giggled as a raven appeared on the wall. His small chubby hands grasping for the raven. When the boy realized that the raven was not real he pouted and turned tear filled eyes to the man who had taken him in. Inoichi laughed. “One day little Naruto you will find a raven, but he will not be black. He will be white as the snow that falls.” Naruto gave the man a toothy grin before asking for more animals. And the older blond indulged him. While Inoichi loved his daughter, this little ball of happiness was the apple of Inoichi’s eyes and he would do anything to protect him. Which is why he would never let the other villagers see him. The man had found Naruto along a river bed, glowing with a light that he had never seen before. At first Inoichi had thought that it was a god who had fallen from the sky. But as he approached closer, he realized it was a small child. The man quickly gather the boy up and covered his hair. He was deeply confused as to why a human child had glowing hair. And so from that day forward, Inoichi protected the baby and watched him grow into a healthy toddler. He had warded off many who would use the child for their own selfish purposes. The older blond wasn’t sure how they had found about Naruto but he made sure to cover the child’s golden head when they left their hut. It had certainly discouraged the many rumors that had spread far and wide among the humans. “It’s time for bed little one,” Inoichi said as he picked up a yawning Naruto. “Ino, would you please clean up while I put your brother to sleep?” Ino nodded as she finished her tea and put her clay made cup on the floor. Inoichi thanked her and took Naruto to his small room. The blond man had to add it on after bringing the baby home. He had made sure to not put any holes in it. He gently laid Naruto down on his furs and ran a hand through the shoulder length hair that lit the room up. “I wan’ a story.” The little blond grumbled sleepily, rubbing at his eyes. Inoichi smiled. He couldn’t deny this child anything. “A long time ago there was a raven who was tired of the spirit world. So he decided to leave, he gathered his favorite stone and used his magic to leave his world. When he left he came into a world that was devoid of life and it was nothing but water. The raven dropped the stone and land spouted from the Great Sea. And eventually animals began to emerge from the land as well as humans.” Blue eyes widened at the story. “So the rav’n cre-cre made the world?” “Yes. He created a world for us. But when our time is done here, we return to the spirit in thanks for what we were given.” Naruto smiled as his eyes slowly closed and he went into the dream world. Inoichi gently pulled a fur up over the little body. It was cold and even though they had adapted to it, children were still susceptible to the cold. Parents had to watch vigilantly over them to make sure that the spirit world wouldn’t take their precious young ones. ~~ Ino smiled as her little brother played along the river bank. Her father had finally trusted her enough to take Naruto out with her. She was happy since the blond could light her way. But she had to be cautious since the villagers would steal her precious brother away. Naruto giggled as he jumped over rocks and hid behind trees. He was hardly let out of the hut and he enjoyed being outside. He loved to run and play with the wind and the leaves that chased him. He giggled as he dodged the leaves that the wind blew at him. But his foot caught on a root and he fell hard on his knees. To the child’s credit he didn’t cry. “Naruto, you have to be more careful!” Ino chided as she knelt beside her brother. She quickly rolled up both of his deer skin pant legs and inspected his knees. She was happy when she didn’t see any blood. “I sowwy!” The little boy sniffled. The young woman pulled him close and hugged him. “It’s okay, Father and I love you so much and we don’t want anything bad to happen to you.” Naruto wound his little arms around his sister. But it didn’t last long because then a small boy approached them. Ino gasped as she pulled a hood over her little brother’s head. The world darkened as his hair was covered and hidden from everyone. “You will hand him over.” The child stated. Ino knew that this child wasn’t a human one. His speech was too advanced for his small frame. His expression had promised that he would do anything to take Naruto from her. “You can’t ‘ave me!” The blond stuck his tongue out at the other kid. The child cocked his head. “And why not?” “I has a fam’y!” “I don’t have a family and I’m fine.” The kid reasoned with the child. “You do not belong to these humans.” Ino hugged Naruto closer to her body. “You will not have him!” “Why don’t you be my fwiend?” Naruto used child logic to try and please the other child. “Friend?” “Yes!” Naruto exclaimed brightly. “You can come an’ visit me!” The other boy seemed to consider the option and then answered. “I shall come and visit you. I am Gaara of the raccoon tribe.” “I’m Nawuto!” Naruto said as he clambered from Ino’s lap to hug his new friend. He pulled the boy into a tight hug and squeezed him hard. Gaara grunted but didn’t say anything. This was a strange human child indeed. And he would find out what exactly made him shine so bright and possibly use that secret for himself. He untangled himself from the over enthusiastic child and told him to remove his hood. Naruto did as his new friend asked. His hair once again lit up the area around them. Naruto’s blue eyes widened at his new friend. He had furry grey ears on his head that were rimmed in white and a black ringed tailed that curled around one of his legs. His eyes had dark circles around them. The blond brought his hand up to one of the ears and began to feel it. He ooh’d and aw’d at how soft the fur was. He ignored the glare his new friend gave him as he petted the ears. “These are vewy nice!” Gaara snorted. “They’re only ears, nothing special.” “I wish I had them!” “You’re more special than I am Naruto. You shine brightly.” Ino carefully watched the two boys. She wanted to make sure that the raccoon wouldn’t run off with her brother. Raccoons were notorious thieves and took whatever they wanted. She hoped that this one was different and that he wouldn’t steal her brother in the middle of the night. ~~ Naruto cried as his sister coughed up her dinner. He had never seen anyone be sick in his short life. He hoped she wasn’t dying, he didn’t want her to go to the spirit world just yet. When she couldn’t stop, he made a decision. She was always protecting him and he knew he could help her. He quickly found his buffalo fur coat and pulled it on, making sure to cover his hair. He knew his father was out hunting with the men. But he knew where the shaman lived and ran as fast as his little legs could carry him. When he reached the hut, he screamed for help. When the shaman emerged, the little child rambled on about his sister dying. It didn’t take long for the man to follow Naruto to the hut. When they reached it, Naruto stayed outside, not wanting to see his sister so ill. Blue eyes blinked in surprised as Gaara appeared beside him. He smiled and hugged his friend. Gaara didn’t say anything as he hugged the human boy. They stood there for a long time before the redheaded raccoon had shifted into his animal form and scampered off. “She’ll be fine little Naruto. Ino will be having a baby soon.” The shaman smiled as he knelt in front of the child. “Really?” Naruto asked with childish awe. “That’s right. I’ll tell Inoichi as soon as he’s back. Just let Ino rest for now.” The shaman patted Naruto on his head before he took off for his hut. Naruto hesitated before entering his own hut. He waited a few more moments before removing the hood from his head. His father had taught him to be cautious. The blond only understood that he would be taken away from his family if he were discovered. So he did just as Inoichi had told him. He quietly approached Ino’s furs and sat down beside her. Her eyes were closed and Naruto almost thought that she was dead, but her chest was moving. He was glad for that. She may have been annoying at times, but she was his sister. Inoichi walked into his hut to Naruto telling Ino a story. The blond man smiled at the heartwarming scene. He knew that Naruto would make a wonderful father one day. His dream was for his son to lead the village one day. But that was far into the future and Inoichi banished the thoughts. “I’m home!” Inoichi boomed and laughed as Naruto quickly scrambled to his and threw himself at his father. “Ino is having a baby!” Naruto gave him a toothy smile. Inoichi raised an eyebrow. The shaman had told him the same thing when he had arrived back at the village. He wondered who the young man was that his daughter had laid with. He didn’t want to scare the man, but have a nice little chat about the traditions of the village. Ino smiled as she sat up. “It’s a miracle father.” And Inoichi saw the truth in her pale blue eyes. He thanked the Great One for such a blessing. He gathered his children in his arms and told them how much he loved them. ~~ Inoichi smiled as the shaman came out of the hut holding a small furred bundle. His daughter had delivered her child and he couldn’t be more proud of her. She had been strong and he could only hope that she had delivered a son. When the shaman handed him the tiny bundle, the man looked down at a baby boy with hair that was as white as snow. Feathers were dispersed throughout the babies head of hair. But he was beautiful, eyes as black as the everlasting darkness looked upon his grandfather. He looked to the shaman questionably. “This baby is very special. He has been sent to us by the spirit world. But I’m not sure what his purpose is.” The shaman answered. Inoichi nodded his head. He would protect this child as much as he did Naruto. For he was sure that together the boys would be great. He entered his home and found his daughter resting comfortably on a large mound of furs. She was awake and reached for her son. “What is his name?” Naruto asked as he emerged from his room. “Sasuke,” Ino answered in a whisper as she gazed lovingly at her son. The little blond edged closer to his sister and gazed upon the baby. “He’s pwetty!” Ino laughed as she nuzzled her son. “Yes he is. He’s very perfect. My little white raven.” ~~ Naruto glared at his ‘little brother’ as he nuzzled closer to his grandfather. Naruto never thought of himself as an uncle, but rather a big brother. And that suited Ino and Inoichi just fine. They had never corrected the blond. But Sasuke had just gotten him in trouble and the blond was to spend time in the corner. He wasn’t sure what kind of punishment this was, but it was absolutely awful! He was a growing boy and he needed to be out doing important! But as usual Sasuke had done something wrong and blamed it on the older blond child. At first everything was lovely with the little baby. But as Sasuke began to learn to crawl trouble started brewing. But Naruto had ignored everything since Sasuke was so cute and would pout until he was out of trouble. But when the little boy began to walk, disaster hit. Naruto was being blamed for making messes. And Naruto would point out that it was Sasuke’s fault, but Ino and Inoichi just glared at him for blaming such a cute innocent kid. Naruto could hear his family laughing from the corner and sadness flooded him. He thought he was loved here. As tears formed in his eyes, he held back a sniffle. He was a big boy now and they didn’t cry. He just turned his back to his family and huddled. The blond almost jumped when he felt a slimy presence on his skin. He looked down and saw a snake slithering over his skin. He wiped his eyes as the snake moved up his arm. Naruto was never afraid of animals since Gaara had promised to protect him. He pulled the snake closer to him and offered a smile. “You‘re so sad little one. What‘s wrong?” The snake hissed as it cocked its’ head. “My little brother does awful things and I’m the one who gets in trouble.” Naruto whispered. He didn’t want his family to hear him. “My master can handle that. Meet him outside after dark.” With that, the snake slithered off Naruto’s arm and down on to the floor, disappearing in a crack of the hut. Naruto smiled. He could possibly have a new friend. The next few minutes weren’t as bad in the corner as he thought of that new friend and what he could be like. When Inoichi called him from the corner, Naruto smiled and sat down beside his father. But Sasuke threw a fit and Naruto had to move. The fire was the only thing lighting the room now. Ino and Inoichi were afraid that they would blind little Sasuke if he was exposed to Naruto’s hair too young. So Naruto had worn the hood all the time unless he was in his room. His blond hair was now past his shoulders so he had kept in a braid. It was easier to stuff down his hood. It wasn’t long before the family decided it was bed time. Naruto pretended to sleep and waited what seemed like an eternity before getting up and once again donning his coat and pulling his hood over his hair. He tip toed out of the room and made his way to the door, he pushed the heavy bear skin and left the hut. He wasn’t sure about this until the snake crawled up his leg. It hissed in his ear to go to the river, his master waiting there and was eager to meet him. Naruto grinned and pulled out one lock of hair. It dimly lit the path to the river. The light wasn’t enough to cause rouse suspicion. He smiled as a figure came into view. The blond sped up and practically ran the rest of the way there. “Hi!” He greeted breathlessly. The man before him laughed lightly. “It’s a pleasure to meet you little one.” “Hi! My name is Naruto!” “I’m Orochimaru of the snake tribe.” The man answered smoothly. “You’re just like Gaara! Except he’s a raccoon!” “Yes I am. I’m having trouble in my home and I need help. It seems like you’re the only one who can help me. I’ve searched far and wide and no one has been able to help.” Naruto smiled widely. “Sure! Which hut is yours?” Orochimaru shook his head. “I’m afraid that I do not live here. It is a long journey to where I live.” Naruto took a few moments to think about what the man had said. He was still young by the standards of his village. But this man had treated him as if he were an adult. If he could help this man, then he could return to the village and be loved by his family once again. They would see that he wasn’t a troublemaker. “I will help!” The blond stated confidently. Orochimaru grinned as he turned and started to walk by the light of the blonds hair. They didn’t get far when a small body blocked the path. Naruto stared in horror as his little brother crossed his arms and glared at the man beside him. The blond watched in amazement as Sasuke walked to him and hugged his leg. “Nawuto no!” Naruto stared in amazement as his brother spoke his first words. And then blushed as his brother began to cry into his leg as he repeated the sentence over and over again. The blond smiled as he pulled Sasuke from his leg and knelt in front of him. “I won’t leave you little white raven.” Naruto stood and pulled Sasuke into his arms. Even though Naruto was a few feet taller than his brother he still had trouble with the added weight. But he gathered his footing and smiled as Sasuke tucked his white head under his chin, his feathers tickling his neck. “I’m sorry but I’m needed here. I’m sure you can find another to help you.” Naruto said, wise beyond his years. “I will not.” Orochimaru went to attack but was blocked by another young body. Naruto smiled at Gaara. The raccoon turned to him and said, “leave. I will deal with this snake.” The blond didn’t say anything as he left the two animals to fight. He quietly snuck back into the hut and tried to place Sasuke with his mother, but the toddler protested. The blond huffed and carried the kid back to his room. He placed Sasuke on the furs, the child closing his eyes. The blond stripped his coat off and lay down on the furs. Both children smiled as Sasuke snuggled up against his brother. ~~ “Argh! I can’t believe him!” Naruto shouted. The blond was now a young man and he was finally allowed to hunt. He was about to embark on his hunt when his younger brother showed up. When Naruto asked Inoichi why Sasuke was there, his father had answered that the white raven was to go with them. Naruto was beyond frustrated. He had to beg for years to join the hunt before Inoichi would let him. And all Sasuke had to was ask one time. Naruto clutched his spear and wouldn’t look at Sasuke. The other knew how to get under his skin and wouldn’t hesitate to do so. It wasn’t long after that the group of men set out to hunt. The torches lit the way as they marched to the forest. Naruto glared at the back of Sasuke’s fire lit head. The other young man was joking with the other members of the hunting party. Naruto couldn’t help but feel that he should be up there in Sasuke’s spot. And he wished that he could whip his hair out and show everyone just how special he was. But the trouble would have been too much deal with. So Naruto sulkily walked at the back of the party. He set his blue gaze around the scenery around him. The meadow gave way to a formidable looking forest and Naruto knew that this would be dangerous. A bright flower caught his attention and he knew he just had to get it for Hinata. The young girl loved flowers and collected them for a hobby. The group wasn’t moving that fast so the blond decided to stop and pick the flower. He admired the beauty of it in the dim firelight. Naruto tucked the flower under his shirt and went to move with the party when he found it gone. He cursed as he couldn’t see their torches in the dark forest. Naruto sighed as he pulled his hood down and let the top of his head shine through the darkness. The trees here were very old as they were very thick and very tall. His hair couldn’t shine all the way to the top of them. He contemplated taking his waist length braid out of his coat, but decided against it. His hair as it was would attract enough attention. He clearly remembered the night with Orochimaru. He wouldn’t trust another snake tribe member. He wished that Gaara was here, but the raccoon had business elsewhere and would be gone for a long time. Naruto began to walk. He decided that the party was heading straight and hoped that he would run into them soon. He would rather not know what lurked in the forest. As he walked, he couldn’t help but marvel at the forest. The flowers were simply amazing and the scurrying animals were amusing. He walked a few more hours before his legs became tired. Naruto found a sizable tree root and sat upon it. He let out a breath of relief as he rested. He should have caught up with the hunting party by now. And he didn’t know the way back to his village. The blond let out a scream of frustration. This was just his luck. Naruto’s eyes drooped with sleep. He could at least take a little nap, so he pulled his hood back on and curled up into a ball on the forest floor to keep warm. He kept his spear in his hand and drifted off into a fitful sleep. Naruto’s face scrunched up as he felt something wet on his cheek. It was rough and almost felt like an animal’s tongue. He opened one eye , pulled a strand of hair from under his hood and gazed into the eyes of a red fox. He grinned as he sat up. He had never seen a fox this close before. He smiled as the fox climbed into his lap and laid down. He petted the fox as he began to ramble to animal at how he was lost and wanted to go home. The fox then left his lap and shifted to a human form. The blond human averted his gaze from the naked form and blushed. He knew that the animals didn’t care about nudity. “So you’re lost bright one. I may be able to help you, but I require a gift in return.” The fox said slyly. Naruto smiled gratefully. “If it’s within my power to give you what you want, then I shall do it. And my name is Naruto.” “I am Kyuubi of the fox tribe. Come, I’ll show you the way to the village.” Kyuubi said as he shifted into a fox once more and yipped at Naruto to follow him. It didn’t take long for the forest to recede and a village to appear. But as they closed in on the village, Naruto realized that it wasn’t his. Instead, it was an abandoned village. He looked to Kyuubi in horror as the fox shifted once more into a human, red ears flicking atop his head and a bushy tail waving back and forth. “You lied to me!” Naruto snarled. “No, I said I’d take you to the village. I didn’t specify which one it was.” Kyuubi countered as he raised a clawed hand to inspect it. “I will not give you what you seek!” “You will or I will take it by force!” Kyuubi snarled, baring long fangs. Naruto brought his spear to the front and planted his feet apart. He would fight this trickster to the death if he had to. He knew what the fox wanted. It was the same with every animal. They all wanted his hair. And when it seemed like he had genuinely made a friend, they would stab him in the back. Naruto cursed his hair and wished he had never been born and been spared the pain of going through this turmoil. Kyuubi laughed gruffly. “You think that pointy stick will defeat me? You humans are all the same. I will have your hair precious one.” Naruto only narrowed his eyes in response. He would never willingly hand his hair to someone like this fox. He only hoped that his hair faded if he died, taking the curse with him to the spirit world. The blond gripped his spear tighter and his muscles tensed, waiting for Kyuubi to make his move. In a red blur Kyuubi came at him, but Naruto never felt him connect. The blond blinked in confusion as he saw Sasuke standing in front of him, holding Kyuubi by the throat. “You dare threaten my brother?” Kyuubi only shook his head in response. And when Sasuke dropped the fox, he shifted and ran off. Naruto’s muscles relaxed as the fox disappeared into the forest. He didn’t look at his brother though. He was ashamed that his younger brother had to protect him. The blond knew that his father would never let him hunt again after this stunt. “Moron, why did you believe that fox?” Naruto stumbled as he took in Sasuke’s form in front of him. He had never seen the white raven move. Naruto huffed and looked away. “He was nice to me.” “You know that foxes are tricksters and are never sincere. Or did you forget that?” “You try to think with a naked man in front of you!” Naruto all but yelled. Sasuke sighed. “Come on. Grandfather is waiting for us. He’s mad at you.” Naruto didn’t reply as he let Sasuke lead him out of the forest. He sulked behind Sasuke, making sure to stay at least a few feet away from the other. His ears could pick up all the sounds of the forest and he couldn’t help but think that the forest was singing. “Naruto, not everyone likes you because of your hair. There are those that do love you because you’re you. You just have to figure out who they are.” Naruto’s head snapped up and stared at Sasuke’s back. His brother hadn’t been this civil in a long time. He wondered about what his brother said all the way back to the village. ~~ Sasuke grinned as his family fell asleep. There was a nice warm fire going and it had lulled everyone into a deep sleep. This was his chance to take the light. It had taken him almost a quarter of a lifetime to get to this point, but it had been worth it. Naruto had matured nicely into a man and his hair shone with the evidence of his growth. The white raven silently moved to the blonds room with a knife in his hand. He would cut the blonds’ hair and weave it together to make a golden orb to place in the sky. And then he would take his own white hair and create a moon. Together the two creations would light up the earth in their own way. Sasuke gazed lovingly at the sleeping form of Naruto. The blond was certainly an interesting character. He had never found love with a village woman. He had claimed that he didn’t want anyone to know of his hair. But Sasuke had seen through the lie. Naruto hadn’t loved any of the women Inoichi had presented him with. But the white raven didn’t know who held the blonds’ heart and he found himself jealous. From when he was old enough to crawl, he was very possessive of Naruto. The blond was just too dense to know it. And as they grew into young men, Sasuke had growled at any girl who dared to get close to the blond. He would sabotage Naruto just to keep him in the hut. Sasuke knelt down by Naruto. He studied the sleeping face of the man he loved. Sasuke gently traced a finger down the tanned cheeks, the skin smoother than what he would have imagined. He pulled the finger and stared at the long braid that lie on Naruto’s furs. He didn’t want to cut it. But it had to be done. If man were to survive he had to do it. Sasuke gathered his thoughts and touched the shining hair. It was so warm in his hand that he gasped. He never imagined that the hair emanated warmth as well! He smiled gently as he brought his other hand to the braid and cut it. The braid fell limply from Naruto’s head, still shining brightly. But the hair on Naruto’s head faded to a dimmer color, though it was still blond. Sasuke then took the blade to his own hair and cut it. The hair fell into his lap. He smiled as it began to glow silver. He would create the sun and the moon. The white raven leaned over the sleeping man and kissed him gently on the forehead as though he were apologizing. Sasuke stood and about to take a step when a hand stopped him. He gazed down into furious blue eyes. Sasuke didn’t say anything as he shook his foot left and fled the room, dropping the knife he had. Sasuke found the fire place and quickly shifted into his raven form, clutching the strands of hair in his talons in little balls. He ignored the soot that coated his feathers as he flew out of the hut into the sky. Tears fell from his eyes at what he had done. He had hurt the one he loved. The sky caught the tears and they glittered beautifully. He dropped his ball of hair and it grew huge as it took it’s place high in the sky. Night had been born. Sasuke flew many miles before he reluctantly released Naruto’s ball of hair. He had to land at the sheer brightness of the sun and day was born. It was then that he noticed his beautiful white feathers were black. Sasuke cawed in sadness over the loss of his feathers, but the loss of Naruto was greater. He took flight once again to gauge the reactions to the sun. And it seemed as though humans and animals alike were very pleased. It did nothing to warm his heart. He flew without direction for months, taking in the reactions and the true beauty of the green earth and blue waters. He was glad that he had accomplished his goal. He saw a familiar village on the horizon and didn’t resist the urge to visit. He landed near his old home and shifted back into his human form. He ducked into the hut before anyone could see him. He quickly found clothes and pulled them on. He could hear someone crying in Naruto’s old room and knew he had to investigate. What he saw there broke his heart. Naruto was curled up in his furs, tears evident on his tanned cheeks. He was sobbing Sasuke’s name. The raven couldn’t take it, he made his presence known and knelt beside the other man. Naruto took one look at him and flew himself into the waiting arms. Sasuke’s hand came to cup the back of the blond head tenderly. “I’m so sorry Sasuke. I never understood until I saw the sun rise.” “It’s fine Naruto. Our destinies were intertwined the moment you were born. You were to born to create the sun as I was born to create to the moon and stars.” Sasuke answered as he stroked the blond hair. Naruto pulled back and gazed at Sasuke, astonished. “Your hair! It’s not white anymore!” Sasuke smiled sadly. “Yes I know. In order for it to become white again, I would have to become a human and age.” “I’m not asking you to stay here. I just wanted to see you one last time to apologize for ruining your beautiful feathers!” “The color of my feathers matters not. I forsake my place in the spirit world.” A light enveloped Sasuke and the feathers faded from his hair. Naruto was stunned at the scene before him. Sasuke had given everything up for him. The blond leaned forward and kissed Sasuke. And murmured against his lips, “as long as the sun and moon shine I will love you.” Sasuke smiled against the lips. He was content for the first time in his life. He hugged Naruto closer and returned the promise that the blond had made to him, binding them together in the spirit and human worlds. While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
