Sooo I decided to do a prequel to the series of oneshots known as the Namikaze Kid and the Uchiha Brothers. This is Fugaku and Minato's story. And it will not be a series of one shots. I answer reviews here: http://xiophelia.livejournal.com/
`~` Minato Namikaze stared out of the window of the limousine. He didn’t want to go to the University of Konohagakure. It was something his mother had forced into and he resented the woman for it. But it seemed as though she was planning something and as usual he was in the dark. His father wasn’t around to help him either. The pervert was off doing his research for what he called ‘novels.’ The blond huffed as the prestigous college came into view. He couldn’t run away now, there was no way that his mother would let him. And he was pretty sure she had spies spread across campus to make sure he couldn’t run away. All he wanted was to go out on his own and find himself. And he felt that college would only stifle him. He already knew how to run a business. His mother had made sure of that. So he didn’t know why he needed an education. “Brat, you need an education so no one will question your every move. Namikaze Inc. is your father’s legacy. He wants you take it over like every other son has in the past.” His mothers voice left no room for argument and only a fool would argue with Tsunade Sannin. “Whatever. I have a choice whether you know it or not.” Minato mumbled. “No you don’t brat. This is the life chosen for you and you can’t escape it.” Minato didn’t say anything as they entered the campus. It was largely spread and the blond knew immediately that he would get lost. It always happened no matter where he went. But they didn’t call him the Yellow Flash in high school for nothing. He was the fastest kid in high school and he was pretty sure that he would prevail like he did in high school, even if a few casualties happened. The limo stopped in front of the main hall and Minato glared at it as he stared at the montrous building. He knew that it had cost a lot of money to build such a thing. And the blond felt that it was money wasted. There was no reason for a building that big, even if it was the administration building. He turned his glare to his mother who only motioned for him to follow her. They made their way into the building and Minato didn’t pay much attention to his surroundings. He knew he would avoid this building in the future. It was something he was not interested in, at least that would have been the case until he saw the art gallery off to the left. He noticed that his mother was in deep conversation with some representative from the college and took the opportunity to sneak off. He was in heaven as soon as he entered the gallery. The artist was a talented individual and he couldn’t draw his eyes from a large painting on the far wall. It was of a man overlooking a village, his robes billowing in the wind and a look of determination on his face. It was as if the man had pledged to look after the village for eternity. “You seem very drawn to that piece. Not many people like it.” Minato jumped at the sound of the voice. “Ah well, I’m a sucker for people like that one.” The blond explained as he rubbed the back of his head. “What do you mean?” The other man asked. Minato took a minute to study the other man. He had pale blond hair pulled into a high ponytail and powder blue eyes. He knew that he and this man would get along, hopefully. Minato never had a problem making friends. And he always held them close to his heart, like his adopted Kakashi. The silver haired kid always came first no matter what. “Well,” Minato said as he turned to the painting. “Obviously this village is very special to this man, so maybe he’s the leader. Or maybe he sees something worth protecting in those walls. He may have even grown up there and spent time getting to know everyone there just so he could tell them from the enemy.” The other raised an eyebrow. “Wow, you gathered all of that from just one look? You’re pretty awesome! My name is Inoichi Yamanaka!” Minato took the offered hand. “I’m Minato Namikaze! It’s nice to meet you!” “This is my first art show. I picked that piece but no one has ever showed an interest in it before. I thought maybe there was something wrong with it, but it seems that it takes a certain type of person to enjoy that. I’m glad that someone finally gets it!” Inoichi released Minato’s hand. “Ah, well I guess that matters huh? I wish I had talent like this. But unfortunately my talent lies in playing the piano. Something my mother insists is a waste of time.” Minato said as he turned his attention back to the painting. “If you don’t mind, I would love to write a piece to this painting.” “Seriously? That gives me an idea! You’re a freshman right? I’m a sophomore, but I’m staying here for a total of five years. If you want, for my senior art show, I would love you to play that piece!” Inoichi’s excitement was contagious and Minato couldn’t help the grin that spread across his lips. “Brat! What are you doing in here? We need to get you settled in! I don’t have time for you to go gallavanting around and getting lost.” Minato winched as his mother’s voice filled the entire room. He sighed and said a quick goodbye to his friend. Inoichi quickly gave him the number to his dorm room and the blond placed it in his pocket. ~`~ Minato stared warily at the other person who had stopped outside of the dorm room. He knew without a doubt that this man was his roommate. And the blond couldn’t help but think how good looking the guy was. He had hair so dark it seemed to soak up the sunlight and his eyes were the darkest shade of brown that he had seen that they looked almost black. The blond held his hand out to introduce himself, but the other man made a face and turned away from him. The blond held back an acidic comment. He was stuck with this guy and there no way he could get a single room as a freshman. And Minato didn’t need a distraction right now. He had come up with the perfect plan to get back at his mother. Minato took the iniative and opened the door to the room. He stared at the left side of the room and made a mad dash for it. He always preferred the left side of the room and he would be damned if he gave it up to the bastard. He gleefully gave the other a smug look. “Hn. Moron, I prefer the right side.” The stranger said. “Whatever bastard, how am I ‘pose to know which side you prefer.” Minato shot back. “Brat! You will watch your language and be nice to Fugaku Uchiha.” Came his mother’s voice from the doorway. “But hag he was being a bastard.” Minato answered with a grin on his face. That seemed to piss the busty blond woman off even more. She marched over to Minato’s bed and jerked him up from it. “I have an important contract with Uchiha Corp. If you fuck it up I will disown you and any hell spawn you’ll have.” She hissed at him. Minato gulped. His mother was scary when she wanted to be. Of course if they had been anywhere else, she would have thrown him into the wall with that scary strength of hers. Minato nodded that he understood and he was let down onto his bed. “What are you some kind of Amazon warrior?” The Uchiha bastard asked. Minato waited with baited breath for Tsunade to throw the bastard out the window. But that didn’t happen, the blond male was surprised when his mother laughed and patted the Uchiha on the back. “You’re alright kid. I’ll take that as compliment.” Minato stood there shocked. No one had ever called Tsunade Sannin an Amazon and gotten away with it. This contract with the Uchiha’s must have meant a lot to the hospital. He knew it was some kind of technology contract, but he didn’t know the details. “Hmph, you would have thrown me out of the window old hag.” Minato mumbled under his breath. He hoped that his mother didn’t hear that and when he didn’t get a fist in his face, he knew she didn’t. He looked at his mother and noticed that she was chatting it up with the bastard. He refused to call the Uchiha by any other name. The other was impolite and already grated on the blond’s nerves. He just wondered when he would have some kind of privacy. Hopefully the other would decide he was hungry and not return from the restaurant. Or maybe he would get diarrhea and spend all night in the bathroom. Now that was a decent fate for the bastard. “Brat! I’m leaving. Make sure you call and no funny business. I will find out, understand?” His mothers gaze promised divine retribution if strayed from the path she made for him. “Sure, sure. Thanks for everything I’ll see on the first break, maybe.” Minato said as he moved to outside the room to grab his bags and start unpacking. He watched as his mother disappeared down the hall and out of his life for now. At least in college he had some sort of control of his life and tomorrow he would start living his own life, free of his family. “Your mother is certainly interesting Namikaze.” The cool voice brought the blond out of his thoughts. He scowled at the other man and didn’t answer him. He would give the other man the silent treatment. He pulled his biggest suitcase onto his bed and zipped it open. He ignored the presence behind him and began to put his clothing up. He was glad that he switched out his clothes at the last minute when his mother couldn’t snoop through them. She had packed nothing but dress clothes, knowing how much Minato hated them. He couldn’t wait to put his plan into action tomorrow. It would give her an heart attack for sure. “You really aren’t talkative are you? And here I was under the impression that you made friends easily.” The bastards tone was condescending. “Not to bastards like you.” Minato ground out between gnashed teeth. He wondered how the other had come across that information and his mothers face flashed in front of his eyes. Of course the old hag would have gotten into contact with the bastard before now. “That’s not a nice thing to say to your room mate.” “Fuck you bastard. Just stay on your side of the room alright? I want nothing to do with you.” Minato said as he turned and pinned the other with a hard blue stare. The Uchiha only stared back with a glare that had warned off many fangirls. But it seemed to have no effect on the blond. Minato grinned when he realized that the other expected some kind of reaction from that glare. “What’s the matter, lost your touch already?” “No, I’m just getting warmed up. Trust me Namikaze you will not like what I have in store for you.” The Uchiha promised, narrowing his eyes as Minato flipped him the bird. The act of war had been sealed with that one gesture. While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
