I haven't finished this story, but I already have everything blocked out for it and I wanted to see if I should finish it before I spend to much time on it. If you like it let me know because other wise I won't waste my time. This story is dark, and if it's not going to be read then I'll just pull it and post something else. I am enjoying writing it though so if people like it then it will be finished.
Love and Hate Naruto sat chained to a chair in a starkly bare room inside one of Orochimaru’s old bases. It seemed like a prison since he was being kept in a room meant for prisoners. His eyes stayed fixed on the only other item in the room. It was a glass globe sitting on a pedestal about ten feet in front of him. It swirled red and blue, and would have been beautiful if he didn’t know exactly what it was for. There were sounds outside the room every once in a while and Naruto strained to hear what was happening, but the door to his cell was too thick to allow any discernable sounds other than footsteps and mumblings. He didn’t know how long he’d been here, but it had been hours since he’d woken up chained to this chair, and his mind was still fuzzy from the drugs he’d been given. He remembered the message he’d received. He’d been sitting at his desk in the tower looking over his village. Peace had reined for several years as a community, and the only problems that he’d had to deal with were those of rogues and random skirmishes. They had heard very little of Sasuke over the past few years, and Naruto had almost given up all hope of finding him again when the message had been delivered. The small scroll had been written by Sasuke himself stating that he would be waiting at the abandoned base off the coast of the wave country. His heart had pounded at the thought of finally being able to keep his promise made so long ago. The message gave the exact location and time for him to arrive. It also stated that Sasuke would meet with him only if he came alone. Naruto knew that his friends would never let him leave without an escort so he packed his bag quietly that night and slipped away before dawn, leaving behind only a short note telling Sakura why he was gone and not to worry. He now wished he’d left more information than that because it seemed that he had fallen into a trap the moment he’d stepped foot onto the shore of the strange island base. He didn’t remember how he was drugged or anything other than what the island itself had looked like as he’d made his way forward. He thought back now at how stupid it had been to just walk there in broad daylight since there was no way to approach without being seen, but it matter little now. He was trapped and his chakra was being siphoned out of him every time he tried to use it so he decided to wait and see what his captors had in store for him, and hoped that he’d live through it. ooOOoo The hours passed more and more, and what natural light there had been in the room with him was now faded into what he assumed was night. His chakra swirled before his eyes fierce and bright casting an eerie glow over every imperfection in the walls and floor. There was noise outside the room, and Naruto felt his body stiffen as if he were anticipating a blow as he heard the lock on the door click and the door slide open. Sasuke stepped in and shut the door behind him. He stood there and crossed his arms over his chest as he looked over Naruto with smug satisfaction. Naruto had almost called out to him for help before he realized that something was wrong. Sasuke wasn’t here to help him, which was blatantly obvious. A shudder ran up Naruto’s spine, and he realized just how much trouble he was actually in. “I never thought it would be this easy to catch you Naruto. I had hoped obviously, but I never really believed that you would trust me enough to come here and alone no less. You did just as I asked didn’t you? No one even knows where you are, do they dobe?” Naruto cringed at the dark humor in Sasuke’s voice. He’d been so confident that Sasuke cared for him that he’d done just as he’d asked. He was ashamed of himself for being so gullible, but his shame wasn’t nearly as severe as his distaste for Sasuke’s manipulation. Sasuke knew how much he meant to Naruto and had used it against him. Sasuke was not the man he thought he knew, and Naruto would not deign to answer questions from his captor. After all Naruto could no longer call the man before him anything else. The uncomfortable silence stretched, and Naruto found a bit of pleasure at the frustration that flashed in those dark eyes. “Not going to answer me Hokage Sama? I’ve never known you of all people to be silent. Especially when it comes to me.” Sasuke’s eyes held light in them making them almost glow. He was clearly excited, and that made Naruto truly afraid. Afraid in a way he’d never experienced before in his life. Sasuke wasn’t his anymore. This man before him was lost, and he didn’t know whether he’d survive much less escape. That gaze held him paralyzed and silent. Sasuke walked over to him and there was a flash of purple swirling in the center of the red and blue that he hadn’t seen before. Sasuke noticed the look and smirked. “It absorbs foreign chakra. All foreign accept mine which means that when I’m near it I loose the snakes power. It took me years to perfect it. I’ve been preparing for this since you became Hokage.” Sasuke was now kneeling at his feet and his hands were pressed firmly onto Naruto’s thighs. Strong fingers squeezed the muscles as they slid slowly toward Naruto’s hips. Sasuke still held Naruto’s eyes with his own as he memorized the feel of raw power under his hands. “You’re like nothing I’ve ever known Naruto. One of a kind. You know, I hated sharing you when we were young. Always competing with Sakura for your attention. There were times when I nearly killed her for just touching you. There were even more times when I nearly killed you for making me feel like this, but I’m glad now that I didn’t. I’ve been thinking about you. Almost all the time it seems, and I’ve decided that since you’ve achieved all of your goals, it’s my turn.” Naruto closed his eyes when the words sunk into his mind. He couldn’t think. All he could do was feel those hands as they drifted further up his body. He could feel the heat through his clothes. The heat was so intense that he was sure his body would turn to ash, but when he opened his eyes again he was all there. The confusion of his situation was making him dizzy. “Why am I here Sasuke?” Naruto whispered as he focused on keeping his eyes on anything but the endless depths before him. A sardonic laugh escaped Sasuke’s lips as he leaned back and let his hands fall. “You have good instincts Naruto. Though you grew up trusting my eyes when they were black, you somehow understand now that you can’t anymore. That’s what I always loved about you. The challenge. I don’t want to take your defiance or the fight from you. Those are the parts of you that I crave the most. You’re here because I want you, and now that I have you I’m happy.” Sasuke laughed again, but this time it was filled with quietly surprised pleasure as if he were shocked at the thought of actually being happy, and Naruto thought for a moment that it would be because he’d never known Sasuke to be anything but miserable. A tear slipped from Naruto’s eye as they slid closed again. With the orb taking all of his chakra he knew he was no match for Sasuke, and if he was the key to Sasuke’s happiness then he knew that he would never see Konoha again. He hadn’t even said goodbye to anyone. He’d just slipped away in the night without a word and now they would never know what they meant to him. They’d never know what happened to him either, and that broke his heart. His captor was insane and obviously methodical, and Naruto knew exactly how powerful he was. He should have known it was too good to be true to think that Sasuke would want to come home, but he’d always been so blinded by his need to have him back that he’d walked right into this. Sasuke reached up and tenderly wiped the tear away with his thumb. Naruto didn’t open his eyes. He’d dreamt of such tenderness from those hands, but not like this. Never like this. The chains fell away, but Naruto knew it wouldn’t do any good to fight. Sasuke pulled him up to stand, and Naruto was shaky on his feet after being frozen in the same position for so long. A strangled moan hissed from his lips as he felt the tingling pain race up the back of his legs and up his spine. His eyes snapped open as he felt arms wrap around him and pull him firmly against Sasuke’s chest. He saw the orb floating in the air now beside him and knew that it had been connected to him somehow. Gentle fingers ran though his hair and Naruto felt warm breath wash over the skin of his neck. He shivered at the heat, but otherwise didn’t move. Sasuke didn’t seem fazed though, and simply pulled away before taking Naruto’s hand in his and leading him to the door. Naruto was led through many complex corridors and up several flights of stairs before they came to a stop. Sasuke let Naruto’s hand go so that he could fish out a set of keys from his pocket and Naruto bolted. Sasuke just laughed with amusement as he watched the globe float down the hall after Naruto bouncing light off all the walls in swirls of blue and red. Naruto stopped as fire erupted in front of him. The heat was intense, and he stumbled back from it only to find himself blocked by a warm body. Arms came around him and pulled him flush and Naruto felt warm breath on his ear before he heard the words. “You can’t run little fox. You have no where to go. The orb can only be removed by me, and without your chakra you can’t even make it across the water. You have no escape. You are mine forever. I know you’ve realized this and I know you’re angry, but in time you will see that this is the best way. You get what you want and I get what I want.” Naruto’s body stiffened at those softly spoken words. Sasuke knew. How, Naruto didn’t know, but he knew. It was terrifying to know that his only weakness was being used so ruthlessly against him. He felt his body get very heavy before his legs gave out, but Sasuke caught him deftly and lifted him into his arms. They were back in front of the door and this time it opened on its own. Inside were living quarters that were elegant simplicity. Some of Naruto’s own belongings already placed around the room as if he’d lived there for some time. “You were there. You followed me all the way here. Even if I hadn’t come you would have taken me.” “Yes.” It hadn’t been a question, but Sasuke answered anyway. He set Naruto on his feet and turned to lock the door from the inside before moving toward the kitchen. Naruto followed grudgingly. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d eaten and he could smell food. They ate in silence. Naruto still hadn’t looked Sasuke in the eyes again. He turned over the information he had in his mind and found the only answer he could come up with was that the Sharingan had completely overtaken the iris. That would mean that Sasuke was the most powerful Uchiha ever to have lived. Naruto felt a small rush of pride at that before it hit him that those eyes were the reason he was here now with no escape. Sasuke’s eyes never left Naruto. His pleasure was obvious and seemed to permeate the air around them in a thick fog. Naruto wanted so much to be happy that Sasuke was finally in a place where he could feel this way, but his sacrifice was too great at this point for him to feel anything but bitterness and betrayal. When they finished Sasuke left the table, and Naruto followed. Sasuke led him to a sitting area and pulled a bottle of Sake from his pocket and two cups. He poured for both of them and Naruto took his without a word. He needed suddenly to be free of some of his anxiety. A moment later he found out just how much. “So Naruto do you have a lover?” Naruto was so stunned by the question that his eyes snapped up to Sasuke’s without thought and he was once again caught in that gaze. “That’s none of your business.” Naruto fumed. Sasuke shrugged. “It was just a question. No reason to get so offended. I can see that you don’t though, so tell me… have you ever had a lover?” Naruto blushed to the roots of his blonde hair, and Sasuke smirked wide and his eyes flashed with red so dark he almost missed it. More Sake was poured, and Naruto drank with slight desperation. He didn’t drink often and he was already starting to feel light headed. He didn’t like the loss of control, but right now he didn’t have any to start with so what difference did it make. Sasuke filled his cup several times without filling his own, but Naruto didn’t notice. He just drank until there was nothing left. He was pleasantly numb and didn’t notice when Sasuke released him from his gaze. His body was relaxed and warm. “How long have I been here?” Naruto mumbled as he shifted to find a more comfortable position. “Less than a day. You arrived around noon, and it’s only eight. I’m sure it seems longer. The sedative I gave you was strong and disorienting. I wasn’t trying to kill you, but your metabolism is so unbelievable I had to make sure it worked. Any normal person would have been out five times as long as you were if they even survived the dose at all.” Naruto knew it to be true. His rapid healing was caused by the Kyuubi, but the way it occurred was through an extremely overactive metabolism that could increase at any hint of danger in combination with the chakra from his internal guest. He didn’t have that chakra though at this moment and the effects of too much alcohol to his unaccustomed body were letting him think just clear enough to regret his haste. He felt those eyes burning into him, and he had a vague notion that tonight would be his last as a virgin. It was not so long ago that he would have been ecstatic about it, especially about who he’d be loosing it to, but now he just felt heartbroken and helpless. “I want to make love to you.” Sasuke said, and when Naruto looked up he noticed that Sasuke was much closer than he had been. The words were mostly nonsense to him, but after forcing himself to concentrate a bit harder they struck him. He reared back, and the room was filled with a blinding flash of light when his chakra flared. Sasuke put his hand gently under Naruto’s chin in a manner of which someone would try to comfort an abused animal, and lifted until Naruto was looking him in the eyes again. Naruto knew that this time there was no draw in it, only the clear honest black from his childhood. “I won’t force you…ever. You are all that I have ever known of love. I have fought it for too long, and I will have you, but never against your will. I need your consent… your love. It is the last and only thing that I need in this life. I have made so many bad choices and rash decisions, enough to taint my soul for eternity. There is no redemption for me anymore, but if I could spend what is left of this life with you I think I could find the peace that has eluded me all this time.” Naruto could barely keep up with what he was hearing. He was being asked to give himself freely without being free. It was a dizzying concept even without the sake. His head shook slowly in answer, but he regretted it instantly when a wave of dizziness swept over him making his eyes cross. “I’ll take care of you Naruto. You should sleep now. You are safe with me. I will protect you.” Naruto felt himself being lifted and carried across the room. His last thought slipped from his lips before he lost consciousness. “But, who will protect me from you…” He was lucky to have missed the rage that passed over Sasuke’s features. I really need to know if you are enjoying this so far. Please let me know if I should post more or if I should just scrap it.
