Summary: Naruto reflects.

A/N: This is ‘’Convictions’, the third vignette I’ve made. So far it’s up to sixty-three, so if there’s anyone out there with a Naruto request, this would be the time. Or maybe I’ll post descriptions of all of the chapters so you can choose. Let me know, okies?  Here’s the first short story.

Expectations

This thing he had with Sasuke was not what he expected to happen when the bastard came back. He expected them to fight, to share words, not fuck in a dark alley while a festival went on in the streets. He didn’t expect Sasuke to smile when he told him he had missed him, and he didn’t expect Sasuke to feel the same way. When Sasuke finally told him he loved him, Naruto hadn’t expected that, either. The more that happened, the less he expected these things, like when Sasuke knelt down in front of a crowd of villagers and popped the question like it was a normal occurrence. And he hadn’t expected Sasuke to cry when he said yes.
