Neji’s P.O.V.
Conflicting emotions.
Colliding thoughts. That was what happened every time I was around Hinata-sama.
I hated her, I desired her. I wanted to break her, I wanted to kiss her. She was
the one that would hold power over my life once she became the head of the
Hyuuga-clan. She was weak and I was strong. It was not supposed to be like this.
I hurt her. I couldn’t help myself, but I almost killed her in the Chuunin-exam.
If I hadn’t been stopped I would have taken her life. I would have killed the
cute little girl that I had promised my father to protect.
I swallowed hard. It had
been ten years since the exams. But the memory still stung like a snake’s bite
in my heart. I had to leave because what ever I did, I hurt her. Her pleading
looks, her tears, it tore my soul apart. After that futile attempt to bring the
Uchiha back, she cried again. I made her cry because I was hurt, wounded. I
couldn’t stay any longer. I would probably kill her if I did. I told my self
that it was my fate to leave Konoha and Hinata-sama behind me.
I talked to Hiashi-sama
and I didn’t hide the reasons for my need to leave Konoha. I told him straight
out that I wasn’t capable of protecting Hinata-sama, because I always ended up
hurting her, making her cry. He didn’t want me to leave, but I refused to take a
no as an answer. In the end he gave after and let me leave. He would tell the
rest of the house that I was going on a pilgrimage. That would hold off any
questions from the branch house. But I knew that Hinata-sama never would take
that as the truth. I had to go before she gained knowledge about me leaving the
village.
Of course I should have
known that she would find out what I was about to do that day, ten years ago.
She met me at the Eastern Gate. Her eyes filled with questions and confusion and
of course, hurt. I always hurt her no matter what I did.
She stepped up to me and
looked at me with those large expressive eyes that always got to me.
“Neji-niisan…?”
“Hinata-sama,” I had
answered her.
“Why are you leaving
Niisan? Have I done something that offended you? Am I the cause of you leaving
Konoha?” she asked me.
“Yes, I’m leaving because
I will only hurt you by staying here,” I said to her.
“Please don’t leave
Neji-niisan. Please, don’t ever leave me,” she begged and new tears came into
her eyes.
”I can’t stay Hinata-sama.
You can not stop me, I must go or I will end
up killing you and I don’t want to be the one that takes away your life.”
“If you leave Niisan, you
will take away my life. I care for you; I’ll do anything, just stay…please.”
She did it again; she
tore a hole in my soul with that soft voice, begging me to stay. She didn’t care
if I hurt her; the only thing mattered was that I would stay with her. But I
couldn’t, I just couldn’t. I grabbed the collar of her jacket and pulled her in
for one passionate kiss, leaving her stunned. Her taste, that innocent, alluring
taste was quickly getting to me and just before she relaxed, I let her go. She
looked at me with large white eyes, I could see that she wanted to tell me
something, but not a sound came over her now slightly swollen lips. This gave me
the chance to disappear, leaving a pillar of smoke behind.

Now, ten years later, I
was sitting in the small apartment that I had rented, looking at a scroll. A
scroll telling me to return to Konoha. It was signed with the seal that only the
head of the Hyuuga-clan had access to. I had to come home. In a few days I would
enter the gates that let me out ten years ago. I closed my eyes and wondered if
it was Hiashi-sama who sent the letter or if it was Hinata. It could be a
possibility that she was the head of the Hyuuga-clan now. Ten years… She must
have grown into a beautiful woman by now. As my imagination began to act up I
shook my head to rid myself of the unwanted, or very much wanted, pictures of
Hinata as a grown woman. No need to go through that again. Been there, done that
a thousand times by now.

Neji's P.O.V.
I was met by a man from
the branch-house. He looked at me and bowed before motioning for me to follow
him. It was late at night and the village was sleeping. Well, there were a few
people out, wandering, staggering drunk towards their homes. So silent, so
peaceful. The village had not changed that much during my absence, but I could
see some new houses, new shops.
I stopped when we entered
the Hyuuga-compound. I wasn’t ready to meet Hinata again, but I had been ordered
to come back and now I was here. The large front door opened and I stepped
inside. I waited for instructions and soon got them. I followed a servant
towards a room and waited for the head of the Hyuuga-clan to join me.
I heard a voice call out
my name and I turned around and saw a young woman stand behind me. It was not
Hinata, this woman was younger than Hinata.
“Hanabi-san?” I
questioned as I looked at the petite female in front of me.
“I’m glad you recognize
me Neji-niisan,” said the young woman and smiled. Two seconds later I was
fiercely hugged by her. She mumbled something about missing me just before she
pulled away and regained her posture.
“Hanabi-san, where is
Hiashi-sama?” I asked.
“Father? He’s been dead
for several years,” said Hanabi, her voice raging from hurt and sadness, even
anger perhaps, I wasn’t sure.
‘Hiashi-sama, dead??’
the knowledge hurt more than I thought it would. But that meant that Hinata was
the ruler of the house now, right?
“Hinata-sama, where’s Hinata-sama?”
I saw tears in Hanabi’s eyes and I began to
fear the worst. Something had happened to Hinata.
“Neji-niisan, I need you
to go on a mission for me. I need you to find Hinata-oneechan for me… I’m not
fit to rule this house. She’s trained so hard and Father finally thought she was
going to be a good ruler. But Father died and Hinata disappeared. I was placed
here instead of her and I… I…” Hanabi broke down in a fit of tears. She flung
herself at me and I caught her easily within my arms.
“Neji-niisan, please… You
must go and look for her. I thought I could do this, but I can’t. Please!” she
cried and grabbed my jacket. But she was the head of the house and I couldn’t
deny her that wish. Actually, even if she told me not to go, I would have go
search for her. Hinata was gone and I was asked to find her.
“Do you have any clues to
where she is?” I asked as I released myself from Hanabi’s death grip. The young
woman’s white eyes began to glitter and she began to rant thank you over and
over again. “Please, Hanabi-san, tell me if you know anything thing.”
“I’ve been receiving
letters every now and then, but they have always been delivered by a messenger,
and then the messenger mysteriously disappears. But this came a few days ago and
it has been posted in the Wave-country. Please, find her Neji-niisan,” begged
Hanabi.
I nodded and got her to
hug me again. I let her hug me and then when she released me I told her that I
would not return until I had found Hinata and could bring her back with me to
Konoha. With that I walked out of the house, leaving a relieved Hanabi behind.

As soon as Hanabi was
sure that Neji wasn’t within hearing range she began to giggle and then it
transformed into a roaring laugh. A door was opened and Hiashi stepped inside
the room.
“Hanabi-chan, you are
good. You should consider going into the theatre,” said the older man. He felt a
bit bad about tricking Neji, but the boy had to learn that some things can not
be change. Call it fate if you will. And if the older man’s memory served him
right, Neji had been a firm believer in fate long ago. But that had been before
his fight against the energetic fox-boy, Naruto. Hinata had been devastated the
day Neji had left. Hiashi had thought it would pass, but the young woman
continued to dwell in the past, in her feelings for her cousin. Oh, yes, Hiashi
was much aware about her feelings. And he guessed the reason to Neji’s sudden
departure was because he was feeling the same about Hinata.
Over the years Hinata had
become a shadow of her former shy and delicate self. And the reports from his
spies about Neji’s condition, he began to suspect that the boy was suffering as
well. So the head of the Hyuuga-clan decided that he would interact and get his
daughter and nephew together so he could rest in peace once that day came. He
had sent Hinata away to relax in a small town in the Wave-country. He sent word
for Neji to come back and he got Hanabi to act as if she was the leader of the
clan. The girl performance was excellent. From a hidden room Hiashi had seen the
reaction on Neji and he wanted to chuckle madly. ‘That’s for breaking my
girl’s heart,’ he thought evilly but in truth he knew that Neji had suffered
just as much.
+ * + * + * +
Neji traveled fast. He
used chakra to increase his speed. His heart was racing just as fast as he was
running. The fear that Hinata could be in danger fuelled his anger and anguish.
The trip to the Wave-country took two or three days, with normal speed. But Neji
didn’t use normal speed. He made it there just as night fell the next day. He
used his Byakugan to scan for her special chakra pattern but growled when he
couldn’t find it. The streets of the fisherman village were beginning to empty
out. People began to move back into their houses for the night.
He stopped his search
when he came to the shore line. She was not in the village. His Byakugan had
searched every house, but he couldn’t find her. ‘She’s not here….’ he
thought grimly and his hands balled into fists as he looked out over the calm
ocean.
“Oi, you look just like
Hina-chan… are you two perhaps related?” came a voice next to Neji and he spun
around, his white eyes drilling the soul of the man who was speaking to him.
“What?” snarled Neji as
his hand came up and gripped the collar of the man’s vest and pulled him up
close.
“Y-your e-eyes… they
l-look just like H-Hina-chan’s eyes…” stuttered the middle-aged man.
“Hina-chan?”
“Yes, the young woman
that c-came here j-just a few days a-ago.”
“Is she still here?”
asked Neji, his throat beginning to dry up at the thought of seeing Hinata
again. Hina-chan just had to be Hinata. “Tell me where she is!!”
“Uhm… why?”
Neji snarled and the man
paled and shakily pointed towards a house that was on the edge of a cliff. Neji
dropped the man and leaped towards the place he had been directed.
‘Hinata-sama, please… be there!’ he prayed silently as the house came closer
and closer.
His hand was trembling as
he knocked on the door, but there was no answer. He growled darkly and began to
suspect that the man had lied to him, but then he heard a sound from the back
yard and he leaped up on the roof to getter a better view on what was going on
back there.
His heart stopped and he
forgot to breathe as he took in the sight below him. There in the luscious green
garden was a large hot spring. The steam rose and gave a magical atomosphere to
the blooming bushes. The air was scented with jasmine and roses and in the
middle of the hotspring was a woman. It was Hinata. Neji was certain that this
woman was Hinata and he didn’t even need his Byakugan to establish that. The
gentle light from the garden lamps gave her an ethereal glow and Neji wondered
if he was looking at water nymph and not a human woman. The soft song coming
from her lips made him shiver and he relaxed a bit, glad that he finally had
found her.
But what Neji had not
counted on was that Hinata now was a fully educated kunoichi. She suddenly
stopped her soft song and turned around in the warm pool and her pearly white
eyes gazed right at him, then she let out a chilling cry and that startled Neji
and he lost his balance and fell off the roof, right into the hot spring. He
landed with a splash and one second later his throat was threatened by a sharp
kunai.
“H-Hinata-sama…” Neji
breathed out her name as his eyes took in her nude form in front of him.
“N-Neji??” she whispered
as her hand dropped the kunai and Neji wondered where she had hid it in the
first place. “Neji-niisan??”
“Hinata-sama… you are
safe?” he asked as he tried not to ogle.
But Hinata saw his eyes
move over her body and she let out a shriek and dove back under the water again,
her face flaming red with embarrassment.
Neji sighed in both relief and disappointment but he was not here to seduce the
young Hyuuga-heiress, he had been sent to find her and now he had. He got up
from the warm water and turned his back towards Hinata. But he found a towel and
held it out to her. “Get up, we need to talk, Hinata-sama,” he said coolly.
Hinata nodded and grabbed
the offered towel and got up from the spring. She hurried to dry up and put on
her robe and then she told him that she was ready. She shivered a bit when she
saw the fire inside his white eyes. They mirrored hers and that made her
nervous. It had been ten years and she had almost lost hope that she was going
to see him again. “Neji-niisan… why are you here?” she asked as she walked into
the house and went to find a towel and a robe for him.
“I was sent to find you
Hinata-sama. Hanabi-san told me that you have been gone for years,” said Neji as
he motioned her to turn around as he undressed and changed into the robe.
“W-what… B-but.. w-why
would Hanabi-chan… ??” Hinata was confused. She had just been gone a few days,
her father’s orders actually. He wanted her to have some time alone and
recuperate here.
“Hanabi-san said you left
right after your father died. Where have you been all this time?” came Neji’s
next question, stunning Hinata even more.
‘What…? What is he
talking about??’ Hinata was
at total loss here. She didn’t know what the heck Neji was talking about. Her
father died? When? All this time? She gasped as Neji grabbed her upper arms and
pulled her into his embrace and hugged her tightly. “Neji-niisan??” she
squeaked.
“I’m sorry Hinata-sama…
so sorry…” he whispered into her ear as he hugged her. His nose was attacked by
her female scents and he began to feel a lava pit form in his lower stomach. He
sighed darkly when her arms came up and was placed around his waist. But he
could tell that she was confused over his actions, but just feeling her put her
face into his neck made him bolder and he moved to sit down with her on his lap.
The chair creaked under the weight and he relaxed when he realized that it would
break under their weight. “Hinata-sama, tell me…., what have you been up to all
these years away from Konoha?” he asked as his eyes searched hers for a
connection.
Hinata blinked in
surprise before she began to realize what was going on. She clenched her fists
into his robe and she actually growled. ‘I’m going to kill them when I come
back…’ she thought as she took a deep breath.
“N-Neji-niisan. I think
someone have pulled a very nasty t-trick on you,” Hinata began as the anger rose
in her soul. “My father is not dead, nor have I’ve been gone for several years.
I came here because my father told me I could use the time off.”
Neji’s eyes widened when
he heard Hinata’s explanation. Hiashi-sama was not dead? “But why tell me…?”
“Because they want to
play poker with destiny!!” spat Hinata and got up and began to pace around the
kitchen area. She could feel Neji’s moon white eyes on her as she did this and
she could feel warmth seep into her face again. She had managed to rid her self
of much of her stuttering, but her blushing, she couldn’t do a thing about it.
Neji had noticed that she
didn’t stutter as much as she had when she was young, sure it was still there
but now when she had pulled herself together, the surprise of seeing him on the
roof and moments later in the hotspring was now gone. Now she just looked…
‘Delicious enough to eat…’ the perverted part of his manly soul said to him
as the same soul provided him with a certain image of him eating her out.
Hinata worked herself up
in a rage as she began to plan on what she was going to do with her closest
family once she got back from her vacation. “They had probably planned this for
months. They sent me away, they then sent for you to come looking for me. Tell
me, did she make up for a good teary performance?” asked Hinata as her fists
waved about in the air.
“Ehh?” Neji looked as
confused as he was.
“Hanabi-chan, did she act
up good?”
“Y-yes, she was crying
and looked positively crushed. She begged me to go and find you because she
couldn’t handle the role she was given,” said Neji, still very lost to what
Hinata was pointing at.
“Did you know that I
loved you Neji-niisan, did you know that you broke my heart when you left Konoha
ten years ago?”
Neji was floored by the
statement and he could see in her eyes that she was telling the truth. But he
was still floored. His mouth moved but nothing came out. He looked like a fish
on dry land, mouth open and closing over and over. ‘She loved me? Wait, loved
– past tense… she don’t love me anymore?’ the thought hurt. He wanted to ask
her about it but he still was struggling to voice his thoughts.
Actually he looked kind
of funny and Hinata began to smile before she began to pace again. She was still
angry with her father and sister’s prank. They had no right to meddle with her
feelings. This would not solve anything. This was Neji, he was an ice-cold
bastard who never would love her. Hinata had for five years hung on a hope that
he cared for her, the kiss he had given her gave her such hope. But he never
came back and little by little she began to move into a shell that nobody could
penetrate. Not even Naruto, her best friend. Yes, her best friend. The crush had
evolved into something very precious and she had found almost a soulmate in him.
He knew that she loved Neji, but Neji was gone and it didn’t look like he would
come back – ever.
But now he was sitting on
a chair in the house that her father had rented for her. She was going to spend
two months here to recuperate and mend her broken heart. This was not how you
mended a broken heart. You did not throw in the man that had broken your heart
into the picture. Or into a hotspring…. And she did not just stare at his chest
that was exposed in that v-line of his robe. ‘Hinata, get a grip. Take
control of your life again, you will not loose yourself in dreams again!!’
she mentally yelled at herself and she moved towards the refrigerator and opened
it. She found two bottles of water and gave one to Neji.
Neji could see that her
eyes again lingered on his chest and the warmth in his stomach began to boil
again. He wasn’t a fool, he knew that he looked good. The sheer amount of girls
swarming around him whenever he visited a pub or a restaurant told him this. But
Hinata? She blushed and looked away again, but he had not missed the way she
licked her lips before she put the bottle against them. ‘Sweet Gods…. don’t
do that!!’ he cried silently when the lick gave him an instant erection.
“Father and Hanabi-chan
tricked you Neji-niisan,” said Hinata to break the tension between them. “They
thought that you might love me, but you wouldn’t have left me if you did. You
told me you left because you didn’t want to hurt me. But you know what…. you
almost killed me by doing so…” The last part came as a soft whisper and she
walked over to the glass door that led to the garden.
“Hinata-sama…” Neji’s
chest tightened and he put the bottle of water on the table and walked over to
Hinata and put his arms around her. He pulled her into his embrace again and he
hugged her from behind. He could feel her stiffen a bit before relaxing back. He
whispered that he was sorry over and over and he really meant it. But he had
been so afraid that he would break her if he stayed with her. He had to go or
else she might have ended up dead.
“Death would have been a
better fate than the one you condemned me to,” said Hinata, her voice thick of
emotions. She silently cursed when she felt the tears began to fall. Tears that
she had sworn not to shed again, not over Neji. But the oath seemed to have lost
its power and now the tears ran freely from her closed eyes.
Neji could feel the
wetness dripping onto his hands and he hated the fact that he had made her cry
again. He had done it again. “Hinata-sama, please… don’t cry.. I’ll leave as
soon as my clothes are dry again.” he mumbled as he put his nose into her damp
hair and breathed in her scent. But he was soon pushed up against the wall with
a angry Hyuuga-heir glaring at him.
“Don’t you dare leave me
again Neji-niisan!!” she growled, her hands gripped the front of his robe as she
pushed him against the wall. “Not again!!”
“Hinata-sama…”
She did the same thing
that he had done the day he left her. She kissed him, passionately. The next
second Hinata found herself against the wall. Neji had taken control of the
situation and she knew that he desired her. His hands was all over her, the robe
she wore was soon disposed on the floor. Hinata shivered and moaned as his hands
grabbed her lower globes and pulled her up. Her legs wrapped around his hips and
she could feel the hardness of his erection against her centre.
Neji couldn’t stop
himself. The years of denying the lust and love he felt for the petite little
cousin was taking his toll and he ravished her. She didn’t stop him and the heat
of the kiss they shared told him that she wanted him just as much as he wanted
her. What ever game Hiashi-sama and Hanabi-san had played with them… he didn’t
care. All he cared about was how she pushed her pelvis against his hips, against
his hardness. He used the wall behind her to keep her up as he moved one hand
down between them and loosened the robe he wore. Soon his shaft was touching a
wet heat and he let out a lustful growl.
Hinata moved so the tip
of his flesh dipped into her moist heat and with one push of her pelvis made her
take all of him inside. She cried out in pleasure as he filled her and she
leaned her head back against the wall. This was something she never thought of
would happen. She had grown accustomed to the thought that Neji never would be
with her in this way. She had lost hope that he ever would love her in the way
she loved him.
Neji noticed that she
didn’t felt any pain, and the thought of her being with another man riled him up
and he pulled out and then pushed back inside with force. A small yelp came from
her as he filled her to the brim again and again and again. If she thought he
would let her go after this, she would have to think again!
Hinata cried as the
pleasure washed over her. He continued to pound fiercely into her body, so hard
that her back began to hurt. Her hands went around his neck and she put her face
against his skin. Her tongue began to lap at the moist skin and she could hear
him growl. It was as if he had turned into an animal.
“Mine… you are mine
Hinata,” Neji moaned just before he gave her a large blue love bite on her neck.
He could feel her shudder in his arms and the soft mewls she let out was enough
to make him cross the edge. With one dark grunt he spilled his seed in her.
“Mine… mine… mine… only mine now…” he mumbled as he slipped out of her warmth.
His knees buckled and he pulled her down with him onto the floor. He held her
straddled against his thighs and hips and he hugged her.
“Neji-niisan…?” whispered
Hinata, a bit confused over his actions, but then she could feel tears drop onto
her shoulder. He was crying.
“I’m such an animal…” he
sobbed as he buried his face in her neck. “I’m sorry Hinata… so sorry..”
Hinata smiled softly and
nudged his head up a bit. “Stupid, stupid Neji… I started it… or did my genius
cousin miss that little fact..??” she asked him before she gently kissed his
lips. “Come, let’s go to the bed room instead, I can feel that you are in need
of sleep.”
“Hinata-sama?”
“Don’t fool me cousin, I
can feel that you are very tired. You didn’t sleep when you was pranked by my
father and Hanabi-chan, did you? You came right after me?” Hinata’s voice was
soft, almost lulling him to sleep where he sat with her in his lap.
He didn’t say anything,
instead he moved to stand up and he picked up Hinata in his arms. “Which way is
the bedroom?” he then asked and Hinata pointed to where it was located.
A few minutes of silence
in bed and then Neji turned to look at Hinata. He wanted to know who took her
virginity. But how did you go around to ask a woman about that? Neji did the
obvious man-thing – he bluntly asked her flat out. “Hinata-sama, to whom did you
give your innocence?”
“Ehh?” Hinata’s eyes
widened and a blush formed on her cheeks.
“Your virginity Hinata…
who took it?” snarled Neji as he moved to straddle her hips. He wanted answers
and he wanted them now. Screw sleep… actually, he would rather screw Hinata
again.
“Oh…. Y-you m-mean that?
Stupid Neji, have you not learned anything about women these past ten years…?”
she asked as she smiled sweetly. “Many female ninjas loose their hymen because
of their active life. You were my first Neji, I promise.”
Neji looked positively
stunned and Hinata giggled and pulled him down and kissed him. “For a genius you
sure are stupid sometimes…”
