This was filled with heartbreak and pain. It showed the breaking point of a man who had to look at the horrors that children go through for the sake of their village and the responsibilities they took that no child should ever be responsible for. Adults are ment to protect children...not the other way around....children are supposed to be children and grow up carefree and happy and not exposed to the bloodyness of war. Though too often they are smack dab in the middle of it with no place to escape it. We visit the ninja world in fantasy but in truth many children around the world really do fight one battle after another....and they really shouldn't ever have to but do for survival.

First let me thank you for your review on that JuuSasu. It made me really happy and I'm really glad you liked it.

I loved this oneshot. I've always wanted to read a fic where Iruka finally breaks but I never found one before. You did this perfectly. I completely understood why he broke down, I probably would have been the same way.

How you did the flashbacks was nice, made it a little sadder.

The part that got me the most is how he did himself in, that was amazing.

Thanks for posting this. :)

Even if this is a bit too dark for my usual tastes... a true work of art.

You said that you will not apologize for that which you have written. I say that you have no reason to have to offer any apology for such an incredible work. It is not often that you find a story of this size that is so well written. I was able to feel every ounce of pain that Iruka felt himself. Thank you for this powerfully moving story that brought tears to my eyes within the first two minutes of reading.

I appreciate you writing this. There's a whole other aspect people don't know about. This hit home, as being a soldier myself, I can really say I understand. When you know people and prepare them for war, when you lose them...their coffin rest on your conscience.

Depressing yes, but it makes total sense! I can actually see Iruka doing something like that ^^;
