I had a great time reading your story and look forward to more. I'm really curious about who was in the forest watching and who will end up together at the end. I think your story was well written minus a couple of niggling details. I think that using "orbs" instead of the more ordinary "eyes" is a little precious, too romance novel style. And calling Iruka "the Umino" is just too strange. Just "Umino" would be better, although "Iruka" would be best; it's not as though you overused his name. Those were the only details that distracted me from your story. Thank you for writing; I'll look for updates.

I'd never considered this pairing before but you've made it work so far. The date was really sweet and having the spontaneous date all planned out was classic Shikamaru. I hope that you continue this so that we can find out who the angry observers were.
