I have been reading the story and I like it. Its not a Sasuke/Naruto pairing but that does not take away from the story. I believe a writer's job is to draw the readers into their world. While one may respect the fandom and work within it, you as the writer should create something you believe in. Thus far, I've been following the story and I like it. The last chapter was interesting. I'm waiting to see how Iruka and Kakashi's relationship as caretakers and roommates develops. This story is appealing in that it proposes to give Naruto something he has not experienced at the outset a loving and caring home and foundation. So I'll be here reading. I can't promise to always review, b/c well truthfully I'm sometimes a little selfish. I want to receive w/o having to give anything back. But I'll try. Thanks for the update.

awesome job! so what did you base the hatake clan traditions? this is just a really unique twist to this story and can't wait to see how it pans out. i actually chuckled to watch the council get their "just desserts" when kakashi dressed them down. YEAH BABY!!!

Question-are you going to cover Naruto's childhood? And who does you plan on pairing Naruto with? PLEASE don't pair him with Sakura! She's a fan-girl and treats Naruto horribly! Naruto deserves someone who will treat him decently! In fact he deserves better! I often wish Naruto had chosen some other girl to crush on, and was on a better team-with either Hinata or Shikamaru or Choji or Shino...Shikamaru only views everything as troublesome and I doubt he is one of the kids who hates Naruto...Choji showed he was willing to work with Naruto...As viewed in the rescue Sasuke arc...Shino is a complete enigma, I think he is the type to be neutral and refuse to take sides...

I am at a loss for words....the way you have this story going, is magical. It's the way I think the story of Naruto should have been in real life. Bravo!

I wouldn't worry about having to come up with a Sasuke/Naruto pairing for a story like this. It probably wouldn't make any sense. On of the main reasons for Naruto's obsession with Sasuke (prior to even becoming team mates and friends with him) was that Sasuke didn't have any parents either. After Sasuke's family was killed by Itachi, Naruto felt sort of a special bond with him; Sasuke being I suppose the only other ninja in the academy with no other family. However, Sasuke wants nothing to do with Naruto, plus is not only popular but excels at everything Naruto fails at, so Naruto's desire for friendship flips over to jealousy, resentment, hate and rivalry. Thus the love/hate Naruto/Sasuke is born! In this story, you've given Naruto a family and a support system. Because of this, Naruto wouldn't feel the same connection with Sasuke that he does in the manga. Of course, this is your story, so you can do with it what ever you please, but choosing to pair up Naruto with Neji as indicated in your summary makes for an interesting development that I look forward to reading. I can't wait to see where you go with this!
