oooo, nice. long first chapter, always a good thing. really into the story. if i were you i'd jump into the action as soon as possible, just because more people will keep reading if theres action, and through that you can show us what the characters can do and how they interact, probably more vividly and realistically. *yays* ^.^

waaaah! this is a really interesting start! -dire raises both thumbs up- i think id like to see the 2 version, where you talk about the chars more, and maybe start the journey to the waves? anyway, cant wait to read more!
