I like the fact that even though Sasuke is the one with emotional issues and the one causing the problems in their relationship, at the end, Naruto takes responsibility for the fact that he should have spoken up sooner, should have at least tried to get Sasuke help. They share blame for the problems in the relationship instead of it all being one sided.

To rant for a moment: I'm always really bothered by fics that blame ALL of Naruto and Sasuke's issues on Sasuke, even when he has mental or emotional problems of some sort. There's a lot of fics like this and I always wonder, do the writers not know what mental illness is? I mean, if Sasuke had a disease and Naruto went around whining and crying about how mean Sasuke was for getting sick on him, he'd look like an asshole, wouldn't he? It's the same thing with mental illness. If Naruto has tried and Sasuke won't get treatment, that's one thing, but if he acts like Sasuke's issues are some kind of choice on Sasuke's part and a deliberate attempt to hurt Naruto, that's a whole other thing. Fics like that usually have everyone yelling at Sasuke for how mean he's been to Naruto and then he magically gets better at the end, all for Naruto's sake. This fic was a lot more mature than that because Naruto told him he had to go see a doctor. Wishing away the problem doesn't make it go away, neither does the love of a good man or willpower alone. The only thing that will help Sasuke is professional help and they've both acknowledged that, which leaves me with legitimate hope for their future, far more than if they'd had some kind of angsty, hurt-comfort reunion that ended with tender lovin' smex. (The usual ending to these things.)

In short, thanks for a nice, more realistic and mature take on this kind of story.
