I like the pacing of this story. You aren't rushing it and it's not about the physical though it's their physical issues in their past that are going to allow them to connect with each other. I'm guessing that both had similar pasts of abuse but they both have different reactions. I really look forward to seeing them interact in future chapters. You have done a great job of making them likable and realistic characters. I want them to be happy together!!!

Wow, two more chapters. I so saw that coming in 8 about a quarter of the way in. But then, I thought it was Kushina and she was going to show him something about her son and that was why all these years later Sasuke's so focused on Naruto. I can't wait to see what they talk about. I also want to learn more about Sasuke's family. I'm sure that since Kushina isn't dead, she will pop up, no?

Loving it! I hope you decide to see this story to the end. Sasuke as pornstar..... Never really thought of him like that. Yet it fits(: looking forward to the next chapter!

I'm still here! I love the little glimpse into the Uchiha family. Naruto and Sasuke are going to fall in love and Sasuke's going to quit being a pornstar and take Naruto home and present him to his family . . . or something. You just better provide us with sex!!! That scene in the bowling alley was really good too. And I KNEW Naruto was going to get Sasuke a bracelet!

Just read this today and it is a really great story! I'm glad you put an update note on or I would have never seen it. The way you have handled this storyline and the pacing of the story is excellently done. You aren't just throwing them quickly together and they are not just the stereotypical Naruto and Sasuke. You move the plot along without filler chapters and you add more to our understanding of each of them as well as keeping the tension in the story. I love how the action has those glimpses of the characters that we can see but that they don't always see themselves... like Sasuke's expression when Naruto first called him a pervert. Or how Naruto seemed annoyed at his stalker but Sasuke picked up on how he was also kind of hopeful when he asked if Sasuke would be there the next day. Developed characters are sometimes hard to find and you did a wonderful job of that.

This is a really well done story and I'm glad you are going to continue it. And as for a beta... for what... like one or two minor things a chapter? Not needed. I happen to LIKE sentence fragments because that is the way we talk and it would be weird to take those out.

“By the way. What are you gonna do for your, uh--”

“Wait,” Sasuke said, already knowing what Suigetsu was going to ask.

Is Sasuke on drugs? Maybe I'm generalizing about porn stars often being druggies, but I thought maybe there were some clues here pointing in that direction. T'was strange that Suigetsu would be uncomfortable asking what Sasuke was going to do about a costar, so I thought maybe he was actually bringing up a touchier subject that Sasuke doesn't like to talk about, which is why he cut him off. Suigetsu also said,

“Are you sure you're gonna be able to wait that long for Naruto to agree?”

Also strange wording because why would Sasuke himself be unable to keep waiting? The production schedule allows them to keep wandering around the country looking for a costar, but Sasuke can't keep waiting? And the longer Sasuke keeps waiting, the more tense he gets? See, it makes me start to wonder if they can't wait for too long because the longer they wait, the more Sasuke will start jonesing for a fix. But they'd have to leave and go to a big city or something to get Sasuke his fix.

Is it a stretch of a theory? Maybe a stretch? Maybe not? Just what I started to think of anyway when I read that scene.

Really good fic, BTW! Haven't read a good one with these two in an AU setting in a while. It's always boring stuff like a high school or a college setting, so I like that neither one is anywhere near a school! Hope you update soon!

I like how you described Naruto's house. It wasn't some boring list of shit I always skip over reading ("to the left of them was a cozy salon with a small fireplace. In front of them were three doors leading into the bedrooms and one leading into a spacious full bathroom..." I might as well be reading that off a realtor's website), but it actually gave me a really good picture of the house--and more importantly the kind of poverty that Naruto came from. You can tell a lot about Naruto's former life from that house.

I can see why Sasuke was scared of being in there (not only was it in terrible condition, but there were signs of someone living there...), and also why knowing about Naruto's past would make him uncomfortable. At this point, he still just wants to use Naruto, but you can't use a person who you see as more than an object, as a real person with a past and with feelings. I like that the first thing Sasuke is starting to feel for Naruto is just basic empathy for another person, not even attraction so much. I think you can't actually have real feelings for another person if you don't have any empathy for them.

The chapter ended on a real question mark. Will Sasuke take his own good advice about not getting involved with another person and retreat, or will he choose to stick around (and what is it that gets him to stay)? And poor Naruto, he must be lonely if he's kinda hoping to see his stalker again. :P Though I like that he's smart enough to know Sasuke still has ulterior motives about getting him to agree to be in the movie. (BTW, the people in the diner think Sasuke is just romantically interested in Naruto, which is pretty funny, but did Naruto end up telling Ino the truth about where the money came from?)

Does Naruto have issues with being touched? He seemed uncomfortable when Ino hugged him and when Tenten adjusted his visor. If that's the case, he probably couldn't do a porno even if he wanted to. I know he said it was awkward when he and Sakura first started kissing, but they were together for 4 years and even living together. They did eventually have sex, right? Hopefully Sasuke is wrong in assuming he's a virgin. I would feel bad for the both of them if they never got to experience that with each other, especially since the relationship meant a lot to them.

The Sakura in this story sounds like a decent person, which I think is very nice. (Sakura isn't my absolute favorite character or anything, but I agree with your point that she doesn't deserve to be bashed. Besides, one of the good things about fic is that you can take less developed characters like Sakura and make them 3-D.) Most people wouldn't have been as good about taking care of Naruto as she was. It was a big deal that she was willing to foot most of the expenses while they were living together and even left him most of the furniture after she moved out and paid for two months rent. (She probably could have used that money herself if she's going off to medical school out of state!) You can't say she didn't try to do right by him. :)

Naruto pulling that huge hunting knife on Sasuke was great. It's was totally what Sasuke deserved. Plus it showed that he's not as innocent or naive as Sasuke and Suigetsu assumed; he can take care of himself. I also liked Naruto accepting the money at the end. I get tired of hyper-moral, ridiculously naive and innocent Naruto. I've read one too many stories where a broke Naruto ends up on the streets or in some other horrible situation because he doesn't want to *impose* on his friends and ask for help. Naruto isn't that dumb. If was broke and some asshole was trying to give him money with no strings attached, I totally think he'd take it and not feel bad about it. It plays right into Sasuke's hands for him to take the money because it creates a small obligation between them and could get Naruto to start thinking about easy money, but hopefully Naruto will be a lot more stubborn than Sasuke realizes.

I liked the that Sasuke felt bad when Naruto called him a pervert. He is technically a pervert; his lifestyle choices haven't exactly been the best. It's understandable that he wouldn't want the future his father was forcing on him, but not understandable that he would rebel by taking up a profession that humiliates only himself. Well, as I said before, I'm hoping that Sasuke's plan to convince Naruto ends up backfiring on him big time and Naruto ends up convincing him to take a second look at his life instead. It would only be fitting that of all the people Sasuke and Suigetsu have managed to scout into the business, if Naruto is the one who finally gums up the works. ;)

At first I was like, who'd scout someone totally inexperienced for a major part in a motion picture? It made no sense; that's millions of dollars on the line for a nobody. And then it turned out to be a porno, and suddenly, it made a lot of sense. XD It's pretty funny you kept that part of it secret because it let us feel as shocked by the turn of events as Naruto was, which I liked. (There's keeping things secret from the reader just for the sake of keeping secrets and/or delaying the plot, and then there's doing it just long enough so it will have an effect on the reader--but not dragging it out, you know?) I was cheering for Naruto when he threw that drink at Suigetsu. :P

Ah with Sasuke's headaches and general unhappiness (he's not completely miserable, but maybe he's just unhappy enough not to realize how unhappy he really is?), can I hope that rather than turning Naruto into a porn star, Naruto will get Sasuke to eventually turn away from the business?

OK I'm pulled in. I love the tug of war going on over this movie. I also love how you've brought Naruto's good guy/selfless qualities into play dealing with Sakura and his values but he still keeps his head around Sasuke. Last, thanks for not bashing. I hope you keep going on this.
