I liked the chapter as it clearly shows some progress in development of more than just friendship btw the guys; some parts werestrange to me, though. Like, why Tsunade and her assistants were so late that poor princes were left to their own resources, it's just impossible that they went so far from the castle with a pregnant woman, no? It took longer to find them than to get to the site of the picnic?
One more thing is Naruto's praised knowledge of what's going on in his neighbours' lands. If he's so well-informed, and surely Konoha has some kind of intelligence service, he must know the latest news of the situation in Sasuke's kingdom. Like, who took the King's place and maybe Itachi's fate. Yet, he told Sasuke nothing to reassure or crush his hopes. Why?
While keeping the Uchiha prince so close and strengthening their relationship in all ways possible, Naruto used Sasuke's dependence on him and the fact he owes his life to him - all this to make sure Uchiha is not going to betray him in the future. He gave him an Uzumaki dagger, reminded of Fugaku's aggression towards Konoha and practically forced Sasuke to swear his allegiance to himself and Konoha. As if Sasuke had any choice but promise this. Yes, Naruto acted cleverly and as a man of vision, but it's not very fair. Sasuke is defenceless and absolutely alone. Naruto could have just put Sasuke in some safe place away from himself and then let him go; but clearly he has his own plans set for the guy.
And yet, nothing they have experienced together or talked about or elt for each other can outweigh Sasuke's duties towards his family. Naruto's battle is lost here, as much calculating or clever he may be.

Very glad to see a continuation of this. :) I was touched by Sasuke's choice of name for the baby. I think it was nice that you decided to give him that honor, and it will be especially meaningful if it turns out that Itachi really didn't survive the battle.

But as much as Sasuke is changing and becoming a happier person with Naruto, I feel like he wouldn't be any kind of a hero or a main character if he decided to let what happened to his family go and stay quietly in Naruto's castle. If nothing else, he needs closure on that so he can feel like it's OK to move forward with with life (by Naruto's side, of course).

I thought Sasuke's response to Kakashi's question about who was ruling his kingdom now was interesting. Sasuke acts like a prince and seems to like being a prince, yet he has no interest in overseeing the kingdom? Does he have any plans for what he will do after he gets his revenge? Assuming Itachi died and Sai took over as king, would Sasuke be content with acting as Sai's bodyguard, as he would have done for Itachi, or would he want to do something else?

I ask because what Sasuke wants to do with his future is going to be a problem for him no matter what happens to him in the story. Even if he ends up becoming Naruto's consort (as we're all assuming he will), he would technically be the king since Naruto is the submissive. That works out nicely for Naruto because Sasuke doesn't really want to rule a kingdom, but less so for Sasuke since he doesn't want to rule a kingdom, even in name only. He could change the laws and make it so submissives can be rulers, putting the power officially back in Naruto's hands, but then what would Sasuke do? It's quite odd for the ruler's spouse to hold some kind of job and be captain of the guard or whatever. As the second son he could do that, but not as the ruler's spouse. He'd automatically have duties to the kingdom in that case.

On top of which, assuming Itachi didn't survive, would Sasuke really be OK with Sai or Ibiki taking over his kingdom when Sasuke himself is the prince? Isn't it kind of irresponsible of him to shuck off his duty to his kingdom like that? He can't just assume the kingdom will be OK, he has just as much of a duty to the people as he does to his own family. Being around Naruto should have taught him at least that much. And what's to prevent whoever it was who killed Sasuke's parents to return for the new ruler? They could kill Itachi/Sai/Ibiki and then take over the kingdom. (I'm surprised they haven't made a second attempt already.) In the end, this whole mess is probably much bigger than just Sasuke's revenge.

And all of that was ignoring the connection Sasuke has with Naruto. No matter what happens, he's got both his own life and Naruto's to worry about. I'd like to know a little more about what Naruto did. Kakashi and Iruka said the bond would make them drawn to one another. What does that mean? Does it mean they have to be romantically drawn together, or is it just like they feel calm in each other's presence? And what would happen if they were apart? Could Sasuke leave the kingdom and be miles away from Naruto without it affecting either one of them?

Looking forward to the next installment. :)

I was so glad to read the continuation of this wonderful story and hope you haven't given up on it! This fairy tale borders with reality, and Naruto starts to show his character both as a ruler of his land and a fragile, sensitive and lonely being. This gentleness, empathy in him combined with cold calculation is really interesting.

There was also some contradiction between what Naruto said about reasons to mistrust Sasuke, need for proof of his friendship, and his overall friendly, trusting, if not more, attitude. He's got intimately sincere and open with the foreign prince, and so fast! And this knife, too. They say, it's a bad omen to give a weapon as a present to a friend, especially for free, so...
Will Sasuke somehow get any info about Itachi's fate? Will there be any chance for him to prove Naruto he's his true friend?
If they're both connected forever by the mystery of Sasuke's resurrection, can Sasuke feel anything special about Naruto, too?
Cannot wait to read more! Thanks, respect and best Christmas wishes for you!
