Go! Iruka with your sassy self! As sad as it was to have Shika leave, I still loved this chapter. What Iruka said gave me hope, and what Sai and Haru talked about doubled it. Thank you so much for updating. I'm really glad I didn't have to wait till the weekend to find out what was happening. So thank you for your kindness too. I look forward to more as always...satterb

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH hahaha, I'm glad you updated so early, but it's not helping with the cliffhanger part haha. Oh, I feel for all of them. It's hard on each and every one, for different reasons. I felt so sorry for Sasuke when Iruka went off against him. Even though it starts me thinking about if maybe Iruka is right. Not that Shika would have wanted to take that risk.
Anyway. Loved the chapter! And really looking forward to the next.

I wasn't expecting that either. Is Iruka right? Maybe. At the end of the day the blame game is pointless. Misguided though Shikamaru may be he made this decision on his own discretion. He is trying his hardest to cover his tracks and not be found. Could Haru and Sai find him? Maybe. Could they successfully find him and bring him home? More than likely. But wouldn't Shikamaru just keep trying to distance himself from what he thinks is inevitable? Probably. He genuinely feels that his safety and well being is less than important in comparison to Haru's. That's never going to change. I wish that Iruka would respect that. He was really unlikable here and I don't think it's fair for him to blame Sasuke for the Izuna fiasco or Shikamaru's actions. No one could have predicted that Izune was a psycho, heck they still haven't figured out that he's not Izuna but his murdering brother Madara. Iruka should know better than anyone how him condemning Sasuke will eat away at him and I hope Na-chan gives him a talking to about his actions. Why didn't he talk to household before attacking Sasuke like that?

I don't think that this chapter made up for the cliffhanger in the last one. Lol, it kind of made it worse because Shikamaru is basically signing his death warrant now rather than bartering for time like before and the Iruka/Sasuke confrontation was both brutal and eye opening. I don't think we could or can predict what the CCS is going to do about the information they have on Shikamaru. Was this all a ruse to get Shika to surrender his mind to them? Seems far fetched. Could things go on like they have been if Shikamaru does nothing? They have not acted on the information they have and they don't seem to be in any hurry to get at Haru. What is his sacrifice really going to do? If they don't get Haru now, what's to stop them when he comes of age? It's futile. If he can't be protected when he is surrounded by his amazing family not to mention Shikamaru's genius, how is he any better off without Shikamaru around.

I wish Shikamaru had come up with a way to make the CCS obsolete instead that would have been smarter imo. So in a way I do see Iruka's point but I think he went about in the wrong way. Maybe this will prompt Sasuke to really go after Shikamaru and come up with a better alternative and maybe it will make him even more determined to respect Shikamaru's actions. Time will tell. Thank you for the Wednesday update though, it was as always food for thought and always more thought provoking than I think it's going to be.

OH SQ You little devil! No let me re-phrase that you Big Devil:) You updated one cliffy to lead to another:) I'm smiling as I write you because you are the Best:) SQ that was so good!! Iruka-sensei has never been that pissed off has he?! I can't be mad at Sasuke-sama because I didn't think of what Iruka-sensei said either about help Shika. The pimp slap came when he said 'you let him in our lives' and all the other 'yous' he used. Poor Sasuke.. I know he needed to hear all that but it hurt me I know it hurt him even more:) I did get a good laugh in when he thought about Su-chan being able to page him anytime day or night:) Space Queen you are burning up the space ways with these last two chapters! I LOVE IT!!! My Queen has found her grove again Yea Baby!!! Thank you for today it was a wonderful surprise. ^_^

Wow... But seriously, Iruka is absolutely right. I'm just surprised he vent on Sasuke (well probably on Kakashi earlier too) but Naruto... I though he would be the first to NOT accept Shika's decission. He follows his heart, not logic!!! He was always the one to find solution no matter what, to fight till the end for his friends, and now what? Is Iruka the last sane person there? Damn, I love this guy. I hope he will shake them enough to move their sorry asses instead of hiding in the compound. I know they're afraid and risking, but. to let SHika go?! On Saturday I thought they would be ripping off the SPACE to find him! Shika gave them everything and they just... I just hope Naruto will take Iruka's side. I'm also curious what is Iruka going to do... He said so manny harsh things. Poor Sasuke, living with all those people walking on eggshels around him and now.... Harsh truth. His decissions are effecting lives of them all. Great power but also responsibility. Harsh lesson.... But as it had been taught (hopefully) let's find Shika now. I must admit that I hope that Sai will get his chance to shine. Maybe someone will explain to him why Shika's decission -no matter how logical - is not RIIGHT? Sai was sadly raised by children.... and Shika. He has a lot to learn and understand...
Haru without emotions - interesting concept. He would be less jealous and maybe his beloved would like him more.... (no just pure sarcasm)sorry.

Chapter 85. I saw that slightly in the author's note. XD Thank you for the Wednesday update. Gotta say I enjoyed Iruka giving Sasuke hell about Shikamaru. Maybe they will be able to bring Shika back. Anyway, thanks for the update, Mannah. It made my day to get my e-mail from you saying Chapter 85 was up. ^_^ Looking forward to the next update.

That took a turn I wasn't expecting. You still manage to provide twists and turns even with things that seemed to be set in stone. All this time I was as sure as Shikamaru that the CCS was just waiting for the chance to scoop him up and use his genius for themselves but they rejected him. I am both relieved and puzzled by this turn of events. Much like Shika is I would imagine, he seemed a bit disappointed that they didn't accept his application. It was unclear to me whether Sasuke discovered the note or not? I'm not sure it would have made any difference had he but I wanted to know what it said.

The Naruto sighting turning into a possible riot along with the very real possibility that we may have to engage with the AHB was unexpected as well. Hopefully nothing bad happens because Shika would never forgive himself for being the cause of something like that. I'm excited to see where this storyline is going. What does it mean for Shika's future now that the CCS is no longer an option? What's going to happen with AHB?

Ok… This was as brilliant and great as horrible.
First I almost cried, then lost myself in relief for a moment only to have my guts twisted again.
What the hell is going on? Why the Center didn’t take him? Is this another plot of Madara? Was it orchestrated to pull Naruto out of the compound?
Is something bad going to happen to Naruto? If so Shika would never forgive himself! Please, don’t let Naruto die. Not yet. Not without a good fight for some awesome reason…..
Ps. A golden-haired hybrid running like the wind – I love those things that made them a living legends!!!!
