Yes, definitely, I agree with Alien X that your decision to put a basically sane Sasuke into an insane situation is what makes this story interesting and sets it apart from other asylum stories. (Most of which are pretty similar to one another, sadly. If you opt to go the usual route and make all of Naruto's friends show up as patients at the asylum, then my one request is for Ino and Sakura to be suffering from something OTHER than an eating disorder...)

Sasuke feels like he's been railroaded into this situation, especially since his own attorney, who was paid to defend him, didn't want to listen to what he had to say. Why are they all so convinced of Sasuke's guilt? What makes them all think he's crazy? Sasuke is in a really difficult situation, as per the story summary: He's a minor, locked up in an insane asylum, and everyone thinks he's both crazy and guilty. He doesn't have any friends or family members on the outside willing to advocate for him. And if he doesn't become a permanent victim of the criminal justice system, he may become a victim of of his mental institution.

The asylum doesn't seem much safer for Sasuke than if he'd been put into juvenile hall. The doctors don't seem like they're willing to listen to him and the three patients we've met/heard about so far (Naruto, Suigetsu, and Juugo) don't seem very safe. I wouldn't feel comfortable with someone with Naruto's issues as my roommate, and his behavior definitely seemed off (all that talking and smiling that didn't seem to be genuine). And then there's Suigetsu, who came across as a total creep all on his own, whether or not Naruto's story was true. Not only did he blatantly try to pick up Sasuke in the bathroom, but he thought Sasuke killing his parents was cool. (At that point, Sasuke should definitely have decided against wanting to be his friend!) And yeah, if I was Sasuke, I'd be nervous about the fact that Juugo, Naruto's former roommate and Suigetsu's former best friend, actually killed another patient. Makes you wonder about what the rest of the patients are capable of (and makes you wonder about Naruto and Suigetsu and how much they knew about/played a part in what happened).

It's possible that Sasuke is crazier than the lot of them and also has another personality, but while he's like this--basically normal--I can't say I feel comfortable about him hooking up with either Suigetsu or Naruto. Well, less so with Suigetsu than Naruto. I got the impression at the end, with how serious and focused Naruto became, that the story he told Sasuke was probably the truth. (At least as far as he understands it to be.) Whatever issues Naruto has, and it seems like he's got *quite* a few, at least he knows right from wrong enough to warn Sasuke away from Suigetsu...?

First, I join one of the reviewers who wished you'd finish some of the stories.. like "Yes, My Master?" : ))

I wouldn't call the plot of this one very original, especially over-talkative, hyper Naruto having "multiple personality disorder and schizophrenia" :)) Does one of his personalities go by a name of Kyuubi?:) Asylum is practically a standard rendez-vous point in lots of stories..
What IS interesting to me, is a perfectly sane and *quite* talkative & civil Sasuke..:)

"He knew his lawyer was going to go for the insanity angle, but he never thought the jury would need to resort to that." - not clear to me. What, the jury HAD to explain to themselves why he commited these crimes? They're supposed to be impartial, after all. It was Sasuke's lawyer who did such a "good" job by making them believe the boy was mad..
"..to be treated for Acute Stress Disorder with suppressed memories.." - not only "crazy", but having lost his own memories of killing parents. How convenient. So, they decided he'd done it - and forgot? Strange..
And how are you going to convince readers that it's possible to declare insane a perfectly SANE and composed, if a bit reserved, boy? They must have done lots of tests on him to find out - so they *had* to find out he was NOT crazy.. How it is possible? And it's evident Sasuke wasn't playing along with his lawyer - he's shocked! I don't understand how it can be possible, really..
Actually, the whole situation with Sasuke being denied any say in the trial or opportunity to speak about the murder looks like a conspiracy to me.. "Suppressed memories"? But was Sasuke even present at the site of crime or at home? I admire sasuke's patience when he's being totally ignored. Or is he just numb?
Does Sasuke have any time to grieve? To try to realize what's happened and why? With a roomamte like Naruto, who can talk your ears off, will it be possible?

The asylum is strangely welcome and comfortable a place, the roommate is just too nice:) I hope your story will have some unexpected and interesting turn of events.. not like Naruto attacking Sasuke in his sleep or "Kyuubi" going rampant in front of him.. or obviously "evil" Suigetsu who's a homicidial maniak sent by someone to provoke and kill patients.. and so on :)
Thank you. Good luck with your stories and life!

hmm yes i suppose you have 'scared' me a new reader :/ I absol hate writers that keep writing new fics instead of finishing the old ones, and then event the new story runs out of steam and never gets finished in favour of a newer new one and the cycle continues, it's so frustrating. When i see a new story from them all it does is anger me. I hope you can understand the other side of the coin as well.
