I was attempting to go to the next page of reviews and accidentally deleted mine (it is 2am here) and I am not going to bother trying to remember exactly how I worded everything so I can re-post it. So I am sorry to anyone who happens to read these reviews and wonders what started what has apparently become some sort of review debate- not that it was my intention to start a debate.

I was not attempting to argue any sorts of facts with another reviewer. I was merely stating my point of view. In an effort to clarify I will continue here. You are right... it is up to Naruto to decide whether it would be a betrayal or not. I said that Sasuke had no right to feel betrayed if Naru chose Itachi I was not saying that you were wrong. His past actions hurt Naruto greatly - even more than Itachi has which I find halarious because Itachi was supposed to be trying to hurt Naruto whereas Sasuke was just doing it out of selfishness and his lust for power. This possibly opened the door a little for Itachi.

As for the possibility of a connection forming between Naru and Itachi needing to develop over time instead of in one grand gesture... I agree with you there as well. That was the point I was attempting to make. If you go by canon (and this story as well) it can be argued that what Itachi has been doing all this time has been for the benefit of the village and something he did FOR Sasuke and not TO Sasuke. Looked at in that light I do not think it is farfetched to believe Itachi's intentions, goals, and sacrifice (the last one especially) were worthy of his admiration. It would not be one grand gesture. It would be Naruto re-evaluating every interaction he has had with Itachi and every report he has heard. In this he could come to view Itachi in an entirely new light. And (for the purposes of this story) put both feet up Kakashi's ass for never saying anything. And even with Itachi's failing health he is still a formidable protector and if Naruto knows that he can cure him then it becomes even less of an issue.

I refuse to blame Sasuke leaving on anyone but Sasuke. Yes, he wanted revenge. But he did not have to go to Orochimaru for that. There were people in the village (Kakashi included) that were willing and able to train him and his team and most (if not all) of the rookie nine and team Gai would have gladly helped take Itachi down. Heck, as Itachi is a missing nin it is their duty to do so. Sasuke just wanted to do it all on his own. He chose to leave and he chose to leave by stepping over his nearly dead best friend. Yes he was emotionally stunted and yes the curse seal affected him, but if he had no choice or control the he would have followed through and killed Naruto to get the upgraded sharingan. I agree that Sasuke was too young to be left on his own when his family was slaughtered, but he did not run away when he was seven. He ran away after he was already an official ninja and had started to form a surrogate family with his team. He did not want new bonds- he felt they made him weak. And the state of their relationship before the massacre is something that can be argued over. But you cannot argue both sides of the fence - either Sasuke worshipped Itachi or resented him for always being in his shadow. I do think that you can love someone and still be jealous, but I do not think he could resent "his dear and worshipped brother (his role model)".

As for my chick comments... I am female. I have two sisters and a whole host of female friends. I know irrational, blind need for revenge when I see it (or in this case read it). That is besides the point however, because when I wrote it in an attempt to point out the irrationality of his behavior through absurdist, sarcastic humor. I made no comments on Sasuke's motivations for WHY he was behaving as he was or if it was warrented - I just pointed out the parallels because I thought they were funny and because if Sasuke could have slashed Itachi's tires he would have. He would have and did do just about anything to lash out at his brother. I am only covering this now because I had originally thought that I had offended you by saying something that could be taken as derogatory against women. However, after re-reading your review I realized that was not the case and you were not offended on behalf of women, but on behalf of the character. Therefore I refuse to apologize for it until one of the fictional characters we are discussing becomes offended and requests I take back my (apparently failed) attempt at humor.

I appreciate that you are a devoted fan of the work and feel strongly about the story and the characters, but we should not lose sight of the fact that these are not real people and this is a piece of (awesome! ;^D ) fictional work based on other fictional work and we have no personal stake here. I will not dictate to an author what they should and should not write. If the author requests feedback or suggestions then I am more than happy to comply. I also will comment on the work and say what I would like to see happen or make guesses as to where I think it may be going, but in the end, it is not up to me and I am ok with that. You could have just said that you were disgusted by particular pairings (like you did in your last review) and I would have been cool with that too. To each his or her own. And with that in mind I will still vote for the three of them to be together because I have no problem with either Uchihacest stories or ones where they just share someone. I think it is hot BECAUSE it has nothing to do with reality- that is what makes it fantasy. That is just my opinion though.

I think Angel is writing a great story and it is compliment that people feel strongly enough about the story to argue about it and defend their points of view concerning it. I am not concerned about the lack of smut (although I would not say no lol!) because the story is good enough to stand on its own for a couple of chapters if it need to for expositions sake. Please update soon! I cannot wait to see what happens with this crew all on the same side with a common goal. Triple fudge cheesecake to you because this story deserves so much more than cookies. *smoochies*

To Dorkchic: I never said Sasuke has the right to feel betrayed, I said Naruto would never betray him, which is a different point of view....and a fact. If Sasuke deserves his loyalty it's a matter Naruto is not interested in, and it's Naruto who will choose the mate, not the other way around. And considering his loyalty for Sasuke, and the knowledge that Itachi is a member of the association who wants to kill him, the possible new connection between Naruto and Itachi, should be formed in a way that, to be convincing, in my point of view, should take the entire fic. Definitively not something like: ItachidoessomethingextraordinaryandNarutochangesideaabouthim. Also, now I think of it, we have to say that it's not entirely true that Naruto has no personal feelings for Itachi: if you read the manga, you can say he has, ones of disdain because he's trying to kill him, but especially because Itachi's choices and actions made Sasuke, Naruto's precious person, ran away from Konoha.

About Sasuke and Itachi: if you go by canon, before the massacre Itachi told Sasuke that, as Uchiha brothers, their relationship would always be one of rivalry and competition. I don't remember the actual words, but that was the essence. And it's a fact that, even if he was little, Sasuke felt jealousy and rivarly for his big brother because he saw that everyone was fawning on Itachi, especially their father. But that doesn't mean that they didn't love each other, I never said rivalry shouts out affection (I wouldn't ship SasuNaru, if that was the case), especially the brotherly one between Sasuke and Itachi. But rivarly it's endemic between siblings, especially between the ones with the same sex. Also I don't see how you can compare Sasuke to a "chick who has been cheated on and ran off with the first guy who said that he would help him get back at Itachi and damn the consequences": excuse me, but it's rather insulting. Sasuke felt betrayed by Itachi and angry simply because he was a 7 years old child who had his good and caring big brother kill their entire family just because he felt so (apparently). A 7 years old child isn't a self-sufficient being, taking away his parents from him/her it's virtually killing him/her, even if it happens in a society in which children are trained to become ninjas and supposedly, killers. Also, the fact that Sasuke and Itachi were brothers, it's an explanation in itself. Don't misunderstand me; I'm not justifying Sasuke's current behaviour, I seriously think he's being really, really, really stupid, but I don't see the link you make between the feelings and behaviour of a scorned woman and the ones of a child who saw his dear and worshipped brother (his role model) killing their mom (the one who gives him comfort and love) and dad (his other role model). If there's one person who's acting like a scorned woman, then it's Naruto, but he IS actually being scorned by Sasuke.

It's not like I don't appreciate the idea of Naruto filling the gap between the two brothers, but....seriously....by getting fucked by both of them?! XDD ItaNaru is hot and good-for-drooling indeed (at least is not as gross as ItaSasu, or KakaNaru or KakaSasu...ewwww), but that's all! Also, talking about the mating imperative...Itachi is ill and to die soon (Naruto said that), that alone doesn't make him a suitable mate. Sasuke can be Naruto's mate and Itachi, before he dies, can redeem himself in his brother's eyes by protecting Naruto by other demons and helping him by betraying Akatsuki and revealing the association's secrets.

Purposefully or not, Itachi's actions hurt Sasuke a lot. Naruto knows that and is too loyal to Sasuke (and loves him) to "betray" him and choose Itachi over him. Moreover, if we consider canon!Itachi, he would be aware of how much he has already taken away from Sasuke and so he wouldn't want to steal away the last thing Sasuke can ever care about.
As for the threesome...excuse me but it's just a lame solution to have Naruto fuck the both of them just because it's mating time. Naruto doesn't harbour any feelings for Itachi (and I don't see how he would suddenly begin to) and it would make him appear more like a toy/mate to fuck and fight over than a person with feelings and power to CHOOSE, who loves and deserved to be loves. Also, the basis of the relationship between the Uchiha brothers is rivalry (especially on Sasuke's part)....it's written in their blood: do you think Sasuke would share a lover with Itachi?
So, SasuNaru indeed.

I am so stuck on this story! It's been a long time since I felt like a fan girl while ready a fan fic. Still, I love this!
My vote is on Itanaru x3, you can never find it anymore and the way you write your lemons? Mwahaha, truly the fan girl in my squees XDD

I am actually a HUGE Ita/Naru fan, but I cannot decide whom I would prefer to see with Naruto. I don't suppose you could be talked into making it a SIN grouping? Itachi could help Sasuke kill Orochimaru and Kabuto (because he can't stand them for what he has put Sasuke through) and then they could both come back to Konoha and put a foot in the council's collective ass and maybe a kunai or two for good measure. I think the Sasu/Ita/Naru grouping is smoking hot! And as for Itachi and Sasuke... I think Itachi did most of what he did to Sasuke out of a sense of guilt to force Sasuke to kill him. And as for Sasuke- I don't think you can hate someone with that kind of passion without truly loving them as well. Fingers crossed and hope you update soon!!!

I am throwing in a vote for Itachi. I just adore Itachi and Naruto together and I am not a huge Sasuke fan in general.

Anyway, I wasn't sure I would like this story, even through the first few chapters, but I am glad I continued to give it a shot. I am enjoying it very much.
