    To begin...

Regarding the 5th Private Matter, the planets were did not align in my favor so this review is not according to plan!

Rgarding Private Matters 1-5, I would say the planets have aligned very well; however, this review has taken a slightly unexpected turn!

    To continue....

Hmmm... there is so much to comment on regarding this chapter and the interaction between Kiba and Gaara. I do find myself perplexed and quite intimidated with Gaara though. However, there is one line in this chapter that literally jumped out at me; "..Gaara thought perhaps it had to do with all earlier thoughts on arousal and life choices." This line made me think of Gaara in terms of the Existentialists who believe that all humans have the ability to create their own nature through the choices they make and that we are all endowed with the ability to choose. That ability makes us human and therefore we are responsible for the choices that we make. It is through those choices that we exist. And in Gaara's case, it is through his ability TO chose that I do not see his character as crazy or off the old rocker as Alex would say!

Now how does all of this relate to Kiba? Through the entire exchange with Kiba, Gaara is thinking about the consequences should he "hurt" or "kill" Kiba. He values his job and relationship with Naruto. I don't think an individual deemed "crazy" in the mental sense would seriously think of the repercussions of their actions especially when in the heat of the moment and when having homicidal thoughts at the same time. Now, this is not saying that Gaara is not a complex character who is obviously dealing with some demons and clearly has some issues as can be seen from Gaara wanting "to stab something repeatedly with the knife in his boot" just because Kiba won a bit of control by garnering a response from Gaara. Which brings me to Kiba!

Yes Kiba! Look at how much he has shaken and rocked Gaara! Gaara, a dom from Haze! Hmm, I missed that little tidbit from my last review. I'm glad that I went back and read previous chapters from this story. Like I said prior, Kiba, in all of his cockiness, is a genius character; and anyone who doesn't understand that point should CLEARLY understand and see it in this chapter. Even with the verbal and physical threats, Kiba is undaunted in his pursuit and even Gaara sees this and is left "confused" at the end. Kiba has unnerved the wild child and you my dear author have not even scratched the surface of Kiba's background yet!

I am at the edge of my seat (excuse of cliche') awaiting Kiba's next move, Gaara's reaction, and Kiba's history!

The final matter: The second half would be lost as the first so I don't feel the need to express myself.

That Kiba's total bastard. He's making sex eyes at Gaara while Itachi is blowing him. Itachi?! WTFH did he have to bribe or to kill to make that happen? That was some show he put on for Gaara; now what is Gaara going to do about that? Since he can't get with Naruto or Neji, then who? What? I can barely wait to find out!

    Hmmm,

After reading this chapter I had to wait a bit to review. I needed to process everything I read because honestly, my mind was going a-mile-a-minute and by the end of chapter, I was so emotionally and mentally drained that all I could come up with was HOLY S***!

And what brought me to such an ineloquent response you many ask; KIBA!

    Let me explain.

Usually I am not a fan of this character and it is not because of his "portrayal" in the anime/manga, but in fanfiction. Usually, Kiba is depicted as this immature, competitive, dense, unattractive, loud, and overly irritating arrogant character where the "dog" analogy is overly done to the point where it becomes cliche' or dead.

Now, with that being said, every author has license to portray his or her characters the way they choose within their fics as the characters need to adopt certain qualities and personalities in order to serve whatever purpose the author needs them to within the plot of the story.

This is why I believe, even with fanfiction, characters should change from story to story, plot to plot, unless one is writing characters within the same "universe".

Now, what is my point as I seem to have gone off on a tangent? It is simple.

Your portrayal of Kiba in this fic is simply, for lack of a better term, MIND BLOWING. He is EVERYTHING he NEEDS to be for this fic; cock-sure/arrogant, sexy, slightly masochistic, risky, mature, and such a glorious bastard (sorry for that cliche, but it just suits him).

Now, at first glance, some of this description seems to fit the above one where I stated that I was not a fan of Kiba. Hmmm, let me offer you further explanation. The reason why "This" works for Kiba in your fic is because of you placing him with Gaara.

Wouldn't Kiba need to be all of these things: arrogant, cocky, masochistic, and risky if he is even going to garner the ATTENTION of a "gang member, murderer, and child too wise for his years". And that's just from the summary. Let's not even delve into the fic itself where the reader actually gets into Gaara's mind and actions!

Now, just look at the chapter itself with regards to Itachi and Neji and this is where I love how all your fics knit together so beautifully and artfully if one pays close attention. Kiba masters Itachi. If Itachi is ANYTHING like Sasuke, Kiba is the man to do this. Do I even need to get into Kiba and his purpose in the plot regarding Sasu and Naru in Breaking the Rules? And if one looks closely in this chapter in R&B also, they will see the effect that Kiba has on our Prince Hyuuga. He makes Neji shiver just with his words for a sub! Need I say more? Shall I take it back to what he did to both Neji and Shika at Bliss in Undercurrents?

Kiba serves his purpose in all of your stories. It goes back to what I said previously. I hope this all makes sense as it may have gotten jumbled along the way. However my point here is a simple one:

    Kiba is brilliant!

On a side note: Il est facile de critiquer le travail difficile d'un auteur qui se cache derrière un rideau de fer quand on sait qu'ils ne peuvent pas être réprimandé.

I read chapter 6 again, and officially Kiba irritates me... he is irritating, cocky and annoying even in manga but here I really can't stand him...

Ooh this is soo good and the interconnectivity with Undercurrents is great. And the way Gaara's character is developing is delicious. The fact that it might become a Kiba/Gaara is way great and something I haven't read before, so I'm looking forward to the next update to this one. Keep up the great work and update soons!

Damn this story is sexy! Oddly enough the chapter I liked best so far was the one with the radio show. The little glimpses into the daily life of people connected by the common thread of the show- interestingly done.

I have to say that I really enjoy and love Gaara how you potrayed and described him... but ... I just can't help myself... and I must say that Kiba is really annoying to me in this fic... So cocky and... well... really annoying... Also, I am used to fics in which Itachi is the one in control and Kiba is his target so ... I just can't see Kiba as someone who controls Itachi and Itachi who submits to him... It seems so... so... hm... different? I am used to see Itachi as a sub to Kisame and Pain but not to Kiba... That was really unexpected... :) You really have a talent to mix different kinds of people.
