that was so nice of asuma to commandeer ... er... ah ... hitch a ride in the supply wagon and bring fresh provisions back to the camp along with badly needed medical supplies! that'll make it so much easier for ruka to carry kashi back!

i can't believe asuma's bored with his life of leisure already! at least kurenai was thinking and outfitted him properly before allowing him to leave.

that kashi's such a charmer. he got ruka to 'heal' him against ruka's better judgment! ^_^! ~and i guess rai wants to rip his eyes out! i mean ...just his luck! he catches them~ again!

that kashi! shameless! just shameless! will iruka exit the bathroom ever again? or will he die from total embarrassment?

Kashi: WTF?!guys! you interrupted my sexual healing!!!

I love this story. However, Im going to be picky and and seriously critique the last part of chapter 39.

As horse rider i can tell you right of that you're not supposed to even ride with a broken arm, much less a broken leg. And-if a leg is badly broken as you say Asuma's was- to risk a long ride only a a few weeks after the break would be very detrimental. Not only do you need both legs to ride and to stay on the horse and to give the horse direction, a horse ride would jar the healing bone and set back the mending process by weeks. The only way a person could ride a horse with a broken leg is in the most dire of cirumstances. And I would like to point out that Asuma could have had a messenger sent..A real general would because he would know that his troops needed him healed as quickly as possible.

Sry to be so picky. but otherwise you very much rock my socks. I love that youre doing this pairing (there arent enough kakairu stories in the world)

I really like this story and I'm sorry it took me so long to review. If it helps, reviewing is actually my resolution this year. I'm a big Kaka/Iru fan and you write this pairing very well. It's interesting to see the characters in different roles and their development has been great to follow.

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed this fic! It's like a breathe of fresh air reading this without the usual SAsuNaru that I've been picking up for a long while. I simply can't wait to read you next chappie! I must say....Kakashi as a warlord is damn sexy as hell and Asuma and Kurenai are so adorable together. You've been pimped in my journals btw. I just read the last two updates back to back...when I was through with the first one, I smirked because I felt as though I was not going to have to suffer on a cliff hanger, but damn! I'm still stuck on a cliff. I know you won't let this end badly, but I'm sure we are all still worried. Thanks for updating...I love this fic!

Ive just read 1-37 and I'm really enjoying this story. You have a lovely way of bringing Kakashi to life and the plot, although a little distressing due to Iruka's experience at the hands of kakashis disloyal men, has kept me in front of my laptop for several hours straight.

Great Job. I cant wait to see where you take us with chapter 38.

NANI!? A rock slide!?

Absolutely the hardest thing to defend against! and a very clever ploy by the enemy... that is, if they thought of it. It's so like kashi to protect his men by throwing himself in harm's way... kudos to kurenai for sensing something...and having her wits about her.

as for genma...he knows his duty.... he knew exactly what kashi needed, his ruka.
at least asuma will be with his wife and she'll servants to help her out.

i hope kashi's strong enough for travel. and yes i began to cry when genma said:

�Iruka wait.� ... �Sit back down . . . there�s more.�... �It�s Kakashi...�

ps: i knew there was gonna be a life struggle, but a rock-slide!? now i wonder if the enemy rigged the rocks as a trap...

poor rai...he must be pulling his hair out... and genma... i see why he ran to get ruka... but for the moment..rai has kashi all to himself...
