I just love this story and come back to reread it all the time. I do hope there will be more someday....cause its such a sad....sweet story....and I oh so wish to see how you bring Naruto and Sasuke back together again.

I like this story a lot. The first few chapters seemed a bit rushed, but I stuck with it because it seemed like an interesting concept, and it keeps getting better as it goes along. This seems like it will be another good suspense/romance fic with an original and complex plot. I know people have begged you to not write het, to do artificial insemination or mpreg or something, but I'd like to beg you to stay true to your original conception of the story. I can't remember if a specific time period was mentioned, but it feels like it happened a long time ago (since that was when the having-loveless-sex-to-produce-an-heir-for-kingdom was common practice). Since that's the case, it wouldn't feel right to me to add any sort of modern science into it. I would love it if you added a loveless, awkward sex scene between Naruto and some woman for the sake of producing an heir. It's not like they're truly competition for Sasuke, and the writing would only make that more obvious. The juxtaposition of the scene with Sasuke and the scene with some random woman would only make the NaruSasu bit more romantic, in my opinion. But, of course, you don't need to write het, you can just imply that it happened. Maybe that will be the best solution.

Anyway, I figure it's safe to assume Sasuke survived and is now a member of the Shadow Guard (I would like to know more about them, and I hope you are planning to elaborate on that). I assume he's going to come back and protect Naruto while wearing an ANBU-type full face mask so Naruto won't know his identity. That would be extremely interesting. Can't wait to see if I'm right.

I just had to reread this and the one Do My Duty....I just LOVE THEM!!! :) I never get tired of reading them over and over again!! I can't wait to see what happens next. Have you decided who to have Naruto's child yet? I would like to vote for Hinata just because she has black hair like Sasuke and any kids they have we could look on them as Naruto's and Sasuke's!!! hehehe Plus she seems like she would be understanding to Naruto's continued feelings for Sasuke and would not take offense to it. She could handle the situation as a true friend of Naruto and in a mature enough manner to get jealous and try to get even with Naruto for his feelings. Now Sakura would totally be more possive and not forgiving and that just would not work out. Will Naruto ever discover that his lover is still alive? Hinata needs to have twins....lol...that way Naruto's father is happy and there will be less pressure on Naruto....right?? Or would that mean more trouble for him?? Ugh....you have sooooo much ahead of you in telling us this story......know that we your fans LOVE this story and ALL your hard work and Long Hours put into it with plot,and in the process of posting it up here for all your fans!! LOVE IT!!! HAPPY HAPPY

a female Sai?? For Naruto to hook up with to keep his father happy?? That why the child would kind of look like Naruto and Sasuke....huh...sounds good right?? :) I want to see how Naruto handles it and how Sasuke handles it and how or when they will see each other again!! I just love this story!! I am so excited to see what happens next!! I feel so bad for Naruto and worried who will be the mother of his children I can't picture him with anyone other then Sasuke. Ok sometimes I picture him with Itachi...grin but who hasn't...right??? :)

you have finally updated! I have begun reading this story years ago and I am glad it is not abandoned. Now, before you get you well-deserved praise I am just bursting with ideas for Naruto's dire situation! Now, normally I am not one for MPregs...but in this situation I would take a pregnant Naruto any day..and I mean ANY DAY over some loveless hook-up. What I have been thinking is Mikoto. Oh yes, no fics I have read feature her as anything but dedicated mother. She only hads 2 kids! She must've done something else with her life! Anyhow, what if you were tolet her have her GIRL POWER moment? I was thinking of her being the head of the female Uchiha community. And what if she had an herb garden like Hinata's mom? Say, our heartbroken Naru boy comes to her to beg forgiveness. Imagine it: this is the family Sasuke "died: to protect, somebody who loves him as much as Naru did, somebody who is justified to hate Fugaku, Minato and Naruto for what they did to her boy, and somebody who would do anything to protect her remaining child and her community. I think that given how serious Naruto is about his promises and how he thinks he failed Sasuke he would need somebody to forgive himand believe that he truly loved him. I also think that Naruto has his very reasonable doubts as to sessasion of all military activity on behalf of his dad. Now then, if mikoto had a garden. she'd be the go-to lady for herbal medicines....which includes contraceptive concoctions and abortion inducers. Which means she knows of any and all unmarried women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. Now, having a Uchiha woman as the mother of Naruto's heir will put Minato in a tight spot as far as exterminating the clan goes. Moreover, it might stave off Uchiha's territorial clai, seeing how one of them would inherit it all. Now then, no sane Uchiha woman would ever have premarital sex with a guy she could MARRY FIRST and then have sex with, which means whoever is the boyfriend would not be approved by her parents. Given how hell-bent most clans are on the preservation of their blood limit, purity, and keeping it in the family, they probably marry through arranged marriages to their distant (or not-so-distant) relatives. So, chances are that there is an Uchiha girl whose clandestine non-Uchiha boyfriend is, oh, I don't know, blonde and blue-eyed? Eneter Sai as a sketch artist to determine how much the kid is gonna look like Naru and get an Uchiha bride who gets to have her boyfriend's kid, to be part of the kid's life, to have him raised for the throne and-for an additional bonus to ensure her speedy get-away out of the picture once Sasuke is once again with Naru-freedom to marry-suprise, surprise-the boyfriend her parents would have never approved off once her term as a mom is done. The fact that she is an Uchiha can be hidden until the baby is born. Then, once the bun is out of the oven, Naruto can reveal it with all pomp and flourish that we all know he loves. Minato and the Uchiha clan would be forced to save face and pretent liek they knew what was happening all along as well as honor their peace treaty. Naruto would gain Mikoto's approval and support. Mikoto would get to exercise power that she is much better equipped to handle than her tyrannical hubby. And Naruot would honor Senju's tradition of appointing the heir rather than having a blood-tied monarchy, whcih makes him all the more awesome in my book. And he gets to help out a girl in trouble. Yeah, you bet your ass I'd ote for a guy like this. Oh, and Sasuke won't have quite as much of a hissy fit that way.
What do you say?
In any case I do love the story. Especially the fact that Naurto did not hook with any of the chicks in his harem - you get much love for that from me. And the story pulls you right in. It is brimming with potential, smells of sweet angst and hot sex. Perfect guilty pleasure!

Hey! Just want to say that... I think i can guess a tad where this is going and would really like to read more! XD It's a really intrigueing plot line and I LOVE how Naruto is the prince, not Sasuke. XD Very nice! But anyways, see that you haven't updated this in a while (January?) and I was wondering if you could just tell me if you are planning to update or not. (Cuz if you are, i'll add your story to my bookmarks and watch out for an update, if not, then I will just cry momentarily and move on, yeah?) Well, anyways, let me know! Hey, I wanted to ask you is this Sasuke among them in this line at the end of 5 chapter or it is just my imagination.

"They were all clad in black clothing and all but one had their head covered concealing their faces."

Is that one Sasuke?

I really like this story ^^ lol just imagining Naruto with a harem makes me laugh. But then again imagining Naruto as a prince makes me laugh too. This fic gives me warm fuzzies even though it is kind of depressing....
