This one-shot left me at the edge of my chair.
I was surprised just how nicely everything tied together in the end.

    It was also very romantic.
For one to risk life so easily, it had to be love.

So in a nutshell- I loved it!

OMG You rock in insane manners and ways!! WWII Stories always make me a little nervous to read them. But this one was wonderful. Wonderful of a kind I haven't seen since Threealls. *Loves all over you* This is for the through the ages club right? That's so fantastic. I don't even really know what to say, short of I LOVED it!! The whole thing, from Naruto being unexpectedly brilliant and kissing Sasuke on his trellis like Juliet *snickers*, straight through all the confusion and angst and effort of the grunt work, the fights and the reactions to seeing each other again, all the way to Sasuke slamming Naruto into the wall and back-handing the prison officer!! Holy cripes, LOL, but that get away was brilliant XD. I LOVE your stories!! *Sighs happily* And I had no Idea it was Yuuko's birthday :(. *Glomps u* My sumissions box in y! right now is scary, but I'll make an extra efort if it means I'm gonna miss things like this *dies* ♥

Well, I have a penchant for history, which you already know. I enjoyed how closely you tried to express the emotions of the era and the bleak, yet sometimes hopeful, attitude that many appeared to have during that time. Writing something from this time, especially using characters so well known for other genres and nationalities, can be difficult. But, you definitely made a lasting impression with this story; the tone, the emotion, the bleak outcome that could have happened but didn't. I very much enjoyed the detail, which has improved from your other stories, not that any of them were severely lacking in it before. The relationship between Naruto and Sasuke was given enough attention that it deserves the genre of romance. And the drama, whether obvious or inherent, was well played. By the way, I didn't say so before, but the kiss was so well done, and the allusion to it throughout the story was a well placed metaphor, that I still picture it, very clearly, even now. I kind of wish I could have read more of the intimacy between them because, judging by the detail and imagery presented in what you did write, I would have been just as captivated. Thank you for sharing and allowing me a sneak peek!
