Chapter 9: Lol, spider-shove. XD

�Another round.� I don�t like spiders, but this is really funny, the idea of Sasuke training with a spider. _ _ _ _ �Cute display.� Right. (*shudders*)

I�m guessing Sasuke was knocked unconscious and is dreaming�?

Yup. _ _ _ _ And it looks like Sai was knocked out too. That must�ve been one hell of a fall. Did Sai hit his head on something on the way down? Because just a trip shouldn�t do that to someone. _ _ _ _ OUCH. Seriously, what did he hit his head on? _ _ _ _ Good, he�s awake. _ _ _ _ I hope the headache isn�t worse than it seems. I also hope that fall didn�t jar Sai�s memory or something. _ _ _ _ Why the ugly stare?

Well, Sai seems okay. _ _ _ _ �How did Naruto put up with the traitor�s obnoxious attitude so effortlessly?� Except for the �traitor� part, I could ask the same thing about Sai. _ _ _ _ Sasuke really hates being shrunk.

I wonder what Tsunade misled Naruto about.

Ooh, good one, Sasuke. �Replacement.� Ouch. _ _ _ _ Sasuke seems to naturally make enemies as Naruto naturally makes friends. _ _ _ _ Sounds like Sasuke wasn�t going to listen to Sai anyway, angry or not.

Jeez, what the hell are they doing to him??

Interesting backstory on Ami and what kind of spider she is. _ _ _ _ Haha, the yaoi manga. XD _ _ _ _ I can imagine Sai�s jump when Sasuke shows up. _ _ _ _ Yeah, Sai, you SHOW him that stuff. _ _ _ _ And how would Kyuubi know about the jutsu on Sasuke? _ _ _ _ Okay, how the hell can ANYONE do that with Sasuke while he�s in this state? Particularly trying to leave a hickey.

Okay, I�m not exactly sure about what it was Tsunade was doing to Naruto, or why the Kyuubi suddenly �attacked� Sai and Sasuke.

Ok I found this... and read it from start to finish... at work (you are totaly gonna get me fired.) I REALLY hope there is more coming its a great story and I think you're doing VERY well with all the charecters. I love your Sai and I'm not a huge Sai fan. I love the placid exterior but the depth you've given him. It works for me and makes him more likable. I just ADORE how Sasuke and Naruto love each other with out question even if Naruto is too much of a Dobe to see how hot he is for Sasuke and that he's having a quasi-relationship with Sai.

love! "Scale" please continue to write it, you are doing a wonderful job, and Sasuke, tiny as he is, what an adorable predicament Sasuke is in and poor Naruto, so completely cute and good action in it and good sense of character and creativity. Your story is unique and wonderful.

ooh I LOVE this, thank you ty ty ty ty for the update, I was so giving up on this and then WHAM updates YAY! ty ty ty, as always this is a fantastic fic, I like the whole interaction between Naru and Sasu and then Sai and Naru and it always makes me laugh when Sasu and Sai get pissed with one another over Naru lol, too cute, anyhow loved this and sooo cant wait for another one and what is up with Sakura??? At first I was thinking she was jealous, first I thought she might have a thing for Naru, then a thing for Sai and there for was pissed to THINK they had been sleeping together, but then the whole Sasuke doll thing threw me, why is she obsessed with the fact that Sai made Naru a Sasu doll??? Sai said she would get one to just not THAT one...hmmmmmm does she know he is REAL??? cant wait to find out, huggles and smiles Mija...:-)

Anyways I'm loving this story, though I do wonder when Sasuke will be full-sized again. Tsunade a bit of a bitch to Naruto, though I guess it could be excused as her trying to do what's best for the greater good. Sakura is a bit of a contradiction, she's a bit nasty but a bit nice. I dunno, not sure whether to like her or hate her. I can't wait to see more from this story, especially to see more specifics on what Naruto's mission entails. Can't wait for your next update.

You know, I sketched something out for Scale once too, (a long while back when you published the first chapter) but I never finished it. Seeing the shirt makes me want to re-draw and finish the thing. Also, I'm excited that you're gonna re-do Broken. ^^ Sweet!

As for Scale.. Excellent chapter! Keep up the great work!

WHOO HOO!!! Im happy to see the update and sooooo happy that you did it! Okay... That line sounds so perverted in my head; like Im congratulating you on having sex or something... Oh well. lol.
But awesome chapter! Sakura is crazy! And Sai... Oh Sai. I just love Sai! lol. I cant wait to see what Naruto's problem is and why he thinks he's whoring himself out. And how is Sasu-chan gonna be a weapon? HM? HM?! TELL ME!!!!

Okay... Sorries. I just had a MILD rabid fangirl moment. *scratches head while blushing* Im calm nows. ^^

very awesome. just so you know, this story is the reason i started checking aff for updates every day again. so...i like updates. especially of totally awesome stories. and i vote that sai should turn into a super-huge yaoi fanboy cuz that would be hilarious. i would also like to hurt tsunade for hurting naruto. she will get the karma backlash somehow right? can't wait for next update!

Chapter Eight: Heh�that was lucky. Sakura�s probably thinking, �I could�ve sworn it was the real Sasuke!� ^^; And that makes me think that Sai could be telling the truth. That he had been making a doll to look exactly like Sasuke. Guess we�ll find out. ____ (*snicker*) �The furious-looking Uchiha.� Poor guy. ____ So did Naruto see the Henge release? ____ Guess not. ____ Hmm, anti-venom � It�s possible that Orochimaru and Kabuto have slipped into town and are sneaking around there trying to find a cure. ____ Love how Sai�s privately worried. It adds a nice sensation of suspense. ____ Lol, �I heard that.� ^^ ____ Lol, the neighbor banging the wall at Sakura�s yell. XD ____ Ohhhh dear. Does Sakura not know about the movie nights then? ____ She must�ve had the suspicion in the back of her mind, because she stiffened on Sai�s explanations like she was expecting something like that. ____ Ahahaha, good one, Sai! You stuck your foot in your mouth yet again! XD That if nothing else will definitely confirm Sakura�s suspicions, whether they�re true or not! ____ Sakura�s got a thing for Naruto, doesn�t she? She cuddled with him in an earlier chapter. ____ I love how Sai�s puzzlement lasts for so long, and then without warning he has a sudden flash of insight. Sort of. ____ Oh good, he does know Sasuke�s okay. Whew, I was worried there. Lol, and Naruto�s �discretion� isn�t helping Sakura�s suspicions. XD
�Holy matrimony?� Not a political marriage? It doesn�t always have to be �holy�. ____ Yikes. I wonder if the prince is gay. He wants Naruto, all right. Probably thinks Naruto�ll be a challenge. (!) What if he blackmails Naruto or something?! O.O ____ It�s funny�the other ninjas see Konoha as a weak village, and yet it�s got tons of powerful shinobi and still seems to be going stronger than the rest of them. (I think.) Sounds like jealousy to me. ____ (*snort*) That was out of nowhere, Naruto�s outburst. It must�ve seemed a little random to Tsunade, but I can kind of see where he�s coming from. ____ Boy, that sucks. I can kind of see Tsunade�s point. Still, there has to be a line somewhere. ____ Tsunade seems a little OOC to me. She normally tries to find loopholes for things like this. She sounds like the politician that forgot how she used to be and what she used to believe in. ____ Dun, dun-dun-dun. Sounds like a Sasuke thing to me. I like that part. ♥ ____ Wow. That is cool. He�s going to make a bargain? That is absolutely awesome. ♥ ____ I wonder what Sasuke and Sai would think of this if they could see it. Sakura too, for that matter. ____ Little suggestion: The paragraph that begins with �Naruto�s voice remained low as it smoothly �� and ends with �� the fourth great ninja war.� To make it seem a little more like he really cut her off, put his line before adding �Naruto�s voice remained low as it smoothly cut off her loud tirade.� It�ll work. ____ Tsunade must�ve been corrupted or something. She normally has a little more sympathy. ____ At least it said she had �a glint of pride in her eyes� at the end. That�s definitely her. She protests until she�s outdone or something, and then she shows her respect. =)
I don�t blame Sai for being annoyed. Sasuke can be rather childish at times. ____ Heh�the way the scene ends � I get the feeling that something�s going to happen. Something that Sai or Naruto or Sasuke won�t expect.
I like that line: �It was time for Naruto to try his hand at the art of verbal combat.� I can see Naruto noticing how people can �filibuster� (used very loosely there), but that doesn�t mean he can be good at it or know how to do it. Then again, there�s a first time for everything. ____ Boy, this just keeps growing.
Interesting insight about the fabric of doll clothes. Sai does have a point. ____ Lol, Sai finds it �nauseating.� ^^ ____ It�s kind of funny about the suffix. I thought that was informal as well as leaving it off. ____ Uh-oh. I hope she�s not setting up a trap or something. And if she is, I hope Sai can spot it. ____ Hmm � I wonder if Sai likes the way Sakura feels pressed against him. ____ Hehehe�one would think Sakura wants a Sasuke-doll too. ^^ I hope that�s her motive. Because she�s normally not that scornful of Naruto. ____ Ah. Close enough. She doesn�t want another one. She wants that one! XD This could complicate things a bit. Love the way you described Sai suddenly on guard. ____ Hmm, maybe she wasn�t fooled by Sai�s story earlier. ____ Erm, suggestion: �The artist said gently defuse the situation in an effort to.� I think you mean, �the artist said in an effort to gently defuse the situation.� ____ Boy, Sai goes all-out when he works. =) ____ Hmm. Why�s she angry? Because he wouldn�t give her that one? Disappointed, I�m sure, but angry is an overreaction, I think. She could understand his reasoning why he wouldn�t want to take back a gift, wouldn�t she? And even if she suspects that he�s lying to her, why not the feeling of frustration?
Hmmm, what was the condition Tsunade set? I�m pretty sure that Naruto asked her to nullify her proclamation about Sasuke, but what was her condition? ____ Something about sex, I�m guessing.
You repeated the thing about Naruto nodding and almost making Sasuke fall over. Might want to take one of those out. ____ Naruto�s not aware that he�s really attracted to Sasuke, is he? ____ Owwwwwchhh, that�s gotta hurt. >.< (So much for Sasuke not being able to cause pain, eh?) ____ Heh�Uchiha Sasuke Has Spoken! ^_^ ____ And he�s been given a pretty good argument, too. I love Sasuke�s confidence and Naruto�s point. ____ Hang on, you never said that Sasuke got off of Naruto�s sinus cavity. And now Naruto�s shaking his head. I think it�s kind of weird that Sasuke�s jumping to those conclusions about Naruto wanting to put distance between them. I mean, sure they�re possible, but not really that likely. If Sasuke really thought about it, he�d figure out that something else was up.
Hmmm. What�s happening? Very suspenseful. The �bed� has interesting connotations, but I bet it�s more of a case of it�s-not-what-we-think. ____ Okay, so the �condition� is a lot more serious than I was led to believe. ____ Good line: �As Sasuke had demonstrated earlier, small things could indeed pack an incredible wallop.�
Aww, cute, Sai looking at manga for clues on relationships. ♥ ____ Sai�s going to be seriously disappointed when he gets back to Naruto�s house. ____ Love Sai�s erratic emotions and behavior towards Sasuke. ____ I�m guessing it�s a yaoi book. (Duh, should�ve known that from the title and the picture and the PLASTIC WRAP on it. ^^;) ____ Love how Sai�s going over everything in his head. ____ Sai�s going to end up terrifying Sasuke, isn�t he? ^^;

Miss Author, I can make educated guesses as to what would happen, but there�s no way I can spoil the fanfiction unless you, the official author of Scale, told me what was to happen. =_) As for the t-shirt on ff.net, I can�t quite make out what the picture is of. (*sweatdrop*)

Chapter Seven: Nice imagery of cockroaches fleeing light. ____ Ooh-la-la, the bedroom. (*nudge*nudge*) ____ (*shiver*) That�s creepy about the people being snake food. I would�ve assumed they�d become test subjects, but just staying with Orochimaru is signing up for that anyway. I like your punishment better. ____ Brrr, a hug from Orochimaru. >.< I wonder how often Sasuke lets him do that. ____ Oh god, you�re kidding me, right? XD; (*snicker*) �Happy dance?� XD ____ Sasuke must�ve thought �Will I ever not be surrounded by idiots?� when he first saw Orochimaru acting this way. ^^ ____ The funny thing is, I can actually kind of see Orochimaru acting this way. ;-) I guess that�s all three of them, then�all three of the Sannin have funny traits to their personalities. ____ Lol: O: �I was hoping you would ask that! ^_^� S: �(I bet.) -_-� XDD ____ Cool phrase: �artificially prolonged life.� =D ____ AHAHAHA, this just keeps getting better by the sentenced! Like I said: sneaky guy. ^_^ ____ Kabuto�s relaxed attitude makes me wonder if he ever really tried to lead Orochimaru away from a jutsu. Or at least trying it out on a whim without precautions. ____ �Uchiha pride would be the death of Sasuke.� It�s likely, I have to admit. He�s a stubborn one when his pride comes into play. ____ Awww, darn it. That was a pretty good place to end the scene, but I hope someday we can see the interaction between all of them once they were mini-sized.
Has Sasuke ever felt this vulnerable at any other time in his life, do you think? (Excluding the massacre scene.) Because it�s going on so long, and he keeps getting hurt again and again after he barely starts healing the first injuries. ____ I can understand Sasuke never hearing anyone in his family moaning from pain . . . but I wonder if they would if he went on missions with them and discovered that they�re just as human. His view of his clan hasn�t really changed or developed that much since the massacre, has it? ____ �Excellent�he wouldn�t have an audience.� I feel anticipation. =) ____ Awww, he tucked Naruto in. ♥ ____ I think Sasuke�s ego about the clan is a little overblown, if you don�t mind me saying so. Overdone, I mean. I�m not sure he�d think those things quite in those words. ____ Ah yes, I�ve been wondering about the bathroom issue. I hope he doesn�t have too bad a time of it. ____ Hang on, surely he�s had to go a few times before now. What did he do then?

Guess we�ll find out eventually. ____ Ohoh yeah, I forgot: Sasuke naked mixed with Naruto�s homophobia added to the embarrassing scene the other day. ^^ ____ Lol, Sasuke fixing his nails. ^^ ____ Ah, there�s Sai. That makes sense about where Sai would camp down! XD ♥ ____ I have some misgivings about what Sai might�ve done to Sasuke�s house, but I�m more convinced that it�d be acceptable to Sasuke. I�m thinking about Sai�s last thoughts from the previous chapter. Someone would think he�d mean to do Sasuke harm from those thoughts, but not really. If he picks up on Naruto�s and Sasuke�s attraction towards each other . . . and if he has a thing himself for Naruto . . . his method of competing could be acting more helpful and appropriate. Or he might pick that up from one of his books or something. ____ What? �Blond hedgehog?� I don�t get it. ____ Oh�he just put his head down. Wasn�t very obvious. ____ Well, yellow and orange is probably a lot better than his previous pjs. ____ Huh�how did Sasuke�s hair get trapped by his collar? I would�ve thought it�d spring right out. ____ Knew Sai�d make it good. ^_^ ____ I take it Naruto�s dreading telling Sasuke the bad news and that�s why he looks bad? ____ Boy. Sasuke barely acknowledged Naruto and Naruto reacted so strongly. He�s definitely bothered. ____ Love how strongly Sasuke�s affected. ____ Kinda makes sense that Sasuke would jump to the more extreme conclusion. ____ �Wire tight.� Nice description.

Does that mean Naruto told Sasuke off-scene? ____ Nice: �the quieter Sasuke was, the more pain he was trying to contain.� Good one. ____ That�s the second time Naruto�s reacted out loud to one of Sasuke�s private responses. I like it. ____ Love this battle of wills here. ____ Heh�I don�t know what Naruto�s trying to do with the bed and everything, but it�s intriguing. ____ Heh�Sasuke�s a little turned on. ^^ By the way, �in appropriate� is all one word: �inappropriate.� ____ Hahaha, so THAT�S what he was planning! XD Shoulda guessed! I liked how you built up the suspense to this moment. ^^
All that tickling and laughing must�ve hurt Sasuke�s ribs quite a bit. ____ Ahh, interesting. I like that bit about how Sasuke�s trying to say how he�s trying to control his temper. Cool. ____ Love how touched Naruto�s feeling. This is really sweet. ♥ ____ Heh�Sasuke breaking the nervousness with his �break your fingers� threat. ^^ ____ Now I�m surprised that Sasuke would deny �brooding.� He knows he does that, and it�s not exactly shameful. I would�ve thought he�d be okay with that. ____ Nice: Naruto�s mention of �sex appeal� threw Sasuke off for a second. Naruto�s probably referring to all the girls that are interested in him, though. ____ Nice job of explaining how they want to �save him�. Wonder what Sasuke thinks of it when it�s put in those terms. ____ Heh�nice about the coffee-maker. And I like the visual image of Sai. (*purr*) ♥ ____ Wonder why Naruto never noticed Sai�s pants before now. ____ Oh boy, tension coming, I can feel it. This is BAD. >.< ____ Sasuke�s probably just playing doll, but it�s interesting how we�re just not sure. And why didn�t Sasuke hide faster? And why didn�t Sai help? . . . Unless it really is a doll. Maybe Sai made one. . . ?
