I love this story so so much. I hadn't read it in about 3 years and saw it in my bookmarks yesterday, so I spent most of my time yesterday and today rereading this. It is definitely one of my favorite Naruto fanfictions ever. The style you write is so perfect for this story and it makes me want to read chapters over and over again. Thank you :)

I'm in love with this story! It's so fucking amazing, I can hardly find the words to describe it - but I will try ;D
The characters were totally IC to the very last bit. Naruto was so Naruto, idiocy and wisdom and sunshine included. I never thought I could like that version of him, but you made me love him. And Sasuke was amazingly multi-dimentional, so very complex that I could see parts of myself in him. I love the roles you gave everyone, and that you included Orochimaru and in that way followed a little of the original plot in a new set up.
And the characters development was also breath-taking. So real, so logical, so believable. And how the relationship formed... They really grew.
And there was so much real life in this story that I found myself realizing new things and also the things that had been lurking in my consciousness but not yet revealed themselves. I feel like I grew up a little while reading this work of art.
I also love the way that you wrote the whole thing. Your flow was smooth and natural, seeming effortless, and I loved all the different POV's. The plot wasn't overly complex, but you made it fresh and interesting with the change in POV's and all the emotions, thoughts and realizatons. This tastes of life so strongly that I feel like I'd want to step away from my computer and live and experience all the things you wrote about.
I just really really really love this story. Thank you for writing and sharing this amazing experience.

Okay, I don't think I can read any more before passing out for need of sleep, but...
    I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T READ THIS EARLIER!!!
AND I'M SOOOOOOOOOOO SORRY THAT I AM A SHITTY READER WHO ISN'T AT ALL SUPPORTIVE!!!
    =( I'm sorry I didn't come and review...
I feel really bad about it.
BUT IT WAS AWESOME!!!! It really was. Okay, I was kind of like Ehhh during some chapters when I stopped reading for a long time (I'M SOOOOOOOOOOOO SORRY!!!!!) but it was really awesome.
I'm glad Sasuke finally got over his problems. He really gets on my nerves sometimes, because he's so fucked up. But Naruto made him okay again, so everything is fine.
I think I may have liked a story where Shika and Sasuke get together. Not this one, because that would have been a terrible ending for Naruto. But if like Shika descided to let himself fall in love with Sasuke when he was younger. i would love to read a story like that...
I Still love shika by the way. Although, I kind of didn't like Kakashi as much at the end. He seems kind of off. Although it makes sense, because he's in love with Iruka and all.
    But still.
Gaara was awesome. I wonder what Sasuke is going to do about working for Orochimaru. I guess I'll find out when I'm not passing out from lack of sleep.
Well, anyway. I can go back and review every single chapter if I have to... I really am sorry for not reviewing all this time...
I feel bad. Oh well. I read it now. And it was awesome. Did I say I loved Gaara?
    XD LANE
(You know, you should really think about making that alternative story with Shika and Sasuke... XD)

This is my first time reviewing, but I've been watching this story for several months now, and I really fell in love with the writing in this, and you're portrayal of the characters. The realism really caught my eye straight off, you had many elements of surrealism mixed in and that really made it amazing.
I hope to see some other works of yours in the future, reading this fanfiction really made me happy, if not sleep deprived more then one night.

This story amazes me. Originally I was going to say I liked how you had Sasuke running to Sound, and how some of the events like that seemed to parallel canon like that, but all of that just completely took the backseat because it turned out to be barely relevant.

I love the imagery, and that was the first thing that drew me in. It's so remarkably creative and tangible. For some reason I liked the idea of seeing a slice of the world through the walls of the little playhouse on the playground. I also completely love the stream of consciousness style the entire story is written in, with the casual asides and subjective commentary in narration; it reminds me a lot of Catcher in the Rye (that reference essentially solidified in my mind with the line "It might seem weird at first glance, the way the world works, but actually it's perfectly fine" in ch. 29). I actually found myself distracted by the writing on numerous occasions, just because I find that style so absolutely appealing that I would find myself reading for the phrasing rather than for the content and had to re-read to actually process what was going on. I think I liked the ending of chapter 37 best of all.

And you've given so much thought and personality to the characters and their motives in this AU, down to the different perspectives on teenagers and growing up and how each character can view the same situation entirely differently. There's a remarkable clarity in all of the anxiety of starting a first real relationship and dealing with the awkwardness of adolescence that I feel like I wouldn't be able to grasp sufficiently to write about since I stopped being that age myself. Really, it sort of reminds me of that teenage girl from Six Feet Under now that I think about it, with the strings of internal increasingly random questions and tangents, punctuated by some entirely relevant comment or insight that somehow sums everything up.

I liked that you didn't glorify anything, like first-time sex or romance or falling in love, the way fiction around here normally does. This felt very raw and human. Every step of the way had very distinct and realistic uncertainty. In the end, this isn't just fanfiction to give us more of characters we like in different situations. This is a meaningful story with an original and creative plot and characters. I am honestly surprised to see this quality of writing on a fanfiction website rather than in a published novel. It feels so out of place. All I can say is that this story completely blew me away and I honestly believe that you have the potential to be a truly amazing author of original work.

I wanted to draw a kirby dance for you as this review.. but the brackets used for his arms just don't mesh well with the review format. Just know that there would have been a kirby dance waiting for you. And knowing that makes all the difference. ^^

    Keep up the great work!

I fell desperately in love with this story when it was on FF and had 52 chapters. I am re-reading it on here, the 73-chapter version AND I LOVE IT. Keep writing! I am a devoted fan of yours!
