I come back to this story over and over. Well plotted, well paced and I just never get tired of it. Probably one of my all time favorite NarutoxSauske couples. Thanks for keeping it here :)

I am disappoint. :(

This was a great fic all the way up until chapter 9. It had good chemistry between Sasuke and Naruto, plenty of sexual tension, hot sex scenes, and the investigation was actually a bit interesting.

And then the fic turned into a very bad and very stupid action movie.

The actual romance and character development was only in those first 9 chapters. The remaining 11 chapters had the entire cast of characters running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

On top of which there were TWO death fake-outs with Naruto, which was bullshit. If you HAVE to do a death fake-out, do only one, otherwise it becomes like the boy who cried wolf. Sasuke got shot and was almost assassinated afterward in the hospital, so I guess you could say there were some character death fake-outs with him as well, though the fic didn't actually go to the trouble of pretending he was dead for several chapters like it did with Naruto. However, my point is that the only cliffhanger this fic had in its bag of tricks was death scares with the lead characters. By the end, it just got to be really stupid and repetitive.

I also hated the brutal rape/torture scene with Naruto and Ino. I'm a wimp, so I didn't like it for its brutality in general, but I was also bothered by the fact that, as I said, the characters stopped developing once all the kidnapping bullshit started. So it annoyed me that instead of getting back to the character development (there were plenty of unanswered questions about Sasuke and Naruto in this fic), we got this very long scene of our main character being brutalized and forced to watch his cousin being raped and tortured. The whole thing felt more than a little self-indulgent, not only because of the length, but because I thought it was stupid for Orochimaru to be doing all that. Did he really have the time to get a bunch of his goons together so they could play with Naruto and Ino when he'd just kidnapped a police informant? Not all the cops were like Baki and on the take, some of them were going to care what happened to Naruto and come after him. If Orochimaru had just shot Ino and dumped her body in the river like any other self-respecting crime boss, he could have gotten away with it.

I also really didn't like the resolution to the SasuSaku. Sakura accepted the whole thing pretty quickly and then ended up helping Sasuke out and sort of supporting his "love" for Naruto. Come on. I'm glad you didn't make her into a bitch, but who in her position would ever be as accepting as she was? Sasuke let Naruto fuck him while Sakura was sleeping in the other room. If that isn't a disrespectful, shitty thing to do then I don't know what is.

I didn't like the resolution to the NaruSasu either, for that matter. Naruto and Sasuke's entire relationship consisted of a few illicit fucks and a day or two spent hanging out together doing research. Okay firstly, as a cop, Sasuke would never have allowed a civilian like Naruto to tag along with him for so much of the investigation because, as we saw, Naruto got into deep shit for it. But let's ignore the lack of realism. The bigger problem is that their relationship, ultimately, was very, very shallow.

As I said, they barely spent any time together. They had great sexual chemistry and may have even experienced love at first sight, but you don't go as far as these two did for each other based on what they had. All the stuff about never being out of each other's sight ever again at the end was over the top for where they actually were in their relationship at that point. At least there were no I love yous or marriage proposals, I'll give you that.

Maybe if they had essentially been apart for 11 chapters before that I might have been more into their relationship by the time they got back together. A few minutes here and there and a quick fuck in the bathroom hardly counts "being together" in the sense that any relationship development occurred over those 11 chapters. You can't keep your main couple stagnant for more than half the fic and expect the big happy end to have much impact.

Great fic that went to the shitter for some cheap drama is all I've got to say.

Holy. Shit. That was amazing!!
Kept me on the edge of my seat.
This pulled some emotions out of me, and I must applaud you for that.
When I read that Naru was dead, my hear sank, and then pieces started to form,
and I was like, Dammit Sas, get your drunk ass up and look for the bastard.

I couldn't put this story down.
It's extremely well written (I still can't believe you managed to turn one-shot into 20 chapters full of action).

If I had to pick something I liked the most about it, I wouldn't think twice but decide it's the chemistry between Sasuke and Naruto. I l-o-v-e-d how Sasuke stayed the night on the couch with the blonde. It was touching and wonderful.

Thank you for this story. I'm looking forward to reading more of your work (I wonder if you still post here).

I think that this can hold it's own candle to Sound of Dreams.Only you,have the dexterity and talent to turn a story into this. The plot twists, the revelations, the emotions. It's amazing how you pay attention to EVERY SINGLE DETAIL.When a story makes you laugh, and cry, clutching your heart in pain, you know it's a winner. That's what this did to me.Great writers like you give me the hope that even I can improve..

I remember reading this what seems like centuries ago and loving it to death, and them the site it was on was closed and I nearly cried because I couldn't read it anymore!
I LOVE THIS STORY!

OMGeezus that was so awesome just when you don't think you can read anything good somethng great comes along I think this fic is by far my most favorite story in the whole wide world I finished reading it weeks ago and I'm still thinking about it. I just love how grown up you write for Naruto it's different than what other people do and I love it he's so much more attractive that way now I'd love reading a sequel to this it had everyhting the action the suspense the erotica haha it was so good I wish I could erase my memory and do it all over again I love how much depth you put in your stories even the little ones it's very impressive I love to follow the emotions of a story and you've got it that was the best you rock don't stop doing what your doing because it can only get better! Yaaaayy!!!
