    *wibblie eyes and all*

    I. Don't know. Where to start. For the past 4 days I have been reading the non stop. I kid you not. I just don't know what to say besides just stare gaping at the screen in amazement. Seriously. You've done two things which I have wanted to do for such a long time. One, you belted out a 73 chapter story that is most certainly loved by SOOOO many people (myself included) and two, somehow, upon reading this, its helped my ability as a writer. (more specifically, you write simple things (such as washing dishes or mundane things) in an interesting way that doesn't hinder the plot line)AS well as make me itch to work on my own idea I had involving these two, which with your sequel planned, I'd like to run by you sometime, so if I ever did get around to it, that it wouldn't appear as though I'm copying yours (i typed up the basics about a year ago and shared with a few people whom seemed to like it but I've furthered some of the side plots since then).

Also, I'm rather glad I got to read all of this without having to wait for updates (*flails* I get ancy waiting, hehe just like for B&B). Though, I do wish I had been there from the beginning to give a more comprehensive review on each chapter as they came out. I'm really excited for the sequel, which I know I'll follow relentlessly.

As for specifics in this story that stand out to me. One, their in characterness just on the whole. You stayed true and even further evoloved their personalities while sticking close to Kishi's characters and it's BELIEVEABLE. Plus you had them switch, and neither lost their masculinity. You've just reaffirimed my belief that these two BELONG with each other and no one else. From what I can tell we both share the same insights on many different things reguarding Sasuke, Naruto and Itachi. (it's scary sometimes, cause I was reading thinking, "omg, that's EXACTLY what I've been trying to tell people.") Seriously, can I have your "art" babies? XD

*tears* Chapter 18...Kyuubi! It got to me, this line did: 'Orochimaru blinked in confusion. Everyone knew that the beast affected the boy, but no one had ever stopped to wonder if the boy ever affected the beast' Poor Kyuubi! Don't know why I pity kyuubi more than his "toy", but I do! T-T

    Jesus. Fucking. Christ.

Now that that's out of the way, I'll get to work on explaining just what your story did to me.

First, I'd like to state that I've been reading your stuff on y!gallery, and that it was actually a fanart for this story that finally got me to read it. I'm glad I chose to. For the past three or four days, I have been reading this in all my spare time, from start to finish, and just about ten minutes ago, I finished.

I'm honestly shocked to hear there will be a sequel after all of that, but am in no way upset about it. I honestly can't wait, and in the meantime, I'll be hovering over your other works, as well.

Now about the story itself... I could describe it with all the words that rave reviewers on movie advertisements do and more. From the first chapter I could barely stop reading for the sake of sleep and a headache from staring at the screen so long. Compelling from the first chapter, it dragged me in and didn't let me go. There were times that it had me on the edge of my seat even though I didn't have to wait between chapters, since it was already finished when I found it.

The sex wasn't trashy, but an extremely passionate mix of words and emotions that really gripped me. I could practically feel the emotions radiating off the screen and into my chest. I read with baited breath through each twist and turn of the plot, teeth clenching with each unexpected and earth shattering event. My heart wrenched each time the two were torn from each other by one thing or another, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that the first eye transplant and how much it tore Sasuke apart left me feeling the dread in the pit of my stomach. I felt an ache deep in my chest at Kyuubi's broken heart. There were just so many emotions in this that I can't even properly express how each and every one of them touched me.

The family dynamics and the rough and gentle possessiveness toward the end just tore me down and built me right back up again. Your characterizations had such depth to them that it drilled right down to my core. It felt like I was reading a thrilling suspense and romance novel right off the shelves, and not a trashy one, either. Everything was so intense, so riveting that I can't imagine what I'm going to do with myself for the next couple of days while I wind down from this.

As a fellow writer, this is something I would aspire toward, but feel helplessly short of. It's not often I leave reviews, but it's also not often that something touches me as deeply as this fic did and compels me to express how thoroughly I enjoyed it.

Honest to God, you should be writing novels, but I'm thrilled to have such talent churning out works of art into the oft bland jumble of Naruto fanfictions out there. Your other works have hooked me just as well as this one did, too, and I'd like to take this opportunity to simply thank you for gracing us all with your incredible gift with words. You're an example that I hope someday to possible live up to. I honestly can't even think of the words to describe how moved I was by this, and I feel as if I'm starting to get redundant, so I'll just leave it at that.

Can't wait for the sequel to see how everyone fares!

Wow!! I have just spent the past three days reading this story almost non-stop and have barely slept! Not that I mind at all, it was worth every second!!!

I want to say all sorts of clever things about how much I love this fic, but I don't even know where to start! Firstly, I guess I love the character progression you've done with Sasuke. It's so gradual and in keeping with Sasuke's character that it works perfectly. I love at first how Sasuke thinks he's lost Naruto to Orochimaru and then he sort of has the realisation that he cares about his dobe. It works really well and makes it not too much of a jump from Sasuke leaving the village and all that to working with Naruto. And I love how Sasuke gets all jealous and everything. Jealous!Sasuke is maybe my favourite thing ever!!

All of your characters are perfectly IC and I love how you've managed to include everyone as well. It reads just like canon and if things go scarily wrong with the manga then I am just going to ignore it and take this story as the facts! I especially love how you've written Sai. I don't care all that much about him in the manga but in your story he makes me laugh so much! And I'm kind of hoping for a bit of SaiHina in the sequel!! Also, I normally don't particularly like OCs, but I love all of yours, especially Hiroki. I love how Sasuke is able to show his softer side with the boy and I can't wait to see how they go about living as a family. The part where Hiroki first said about Naruto driving the nightmares away was really awesome, one of my favourite parts.

I also really love how you so slowly progressed the relationship between Naruto and Sasuke, how it took so long for them to get the trust back and for their physical relationship to develop, and then for the two boys to be so close that they really couldn't live without each other. I think you did it perfectly. And your smexy bits are the smexiest things to ever smex!! I actually punched the air when Sasuke was telling Itachi about how it is love that makes you stronger and not hate, that is EXACTLY what Sasuke needs to get through his thick head!!!

There are a bizillion more things that I want to say but I can't find the proper words and this is turning into the longest and gushiest review ever, so I will just say that this fic is awesome and you are clearly awesome and I think I'm a little bit in love with you!!! And now I have to go and read all your other stories!

Sooo, I started this YESTERDAY, and now... I'm at chapter 30, ready to start chapter 31. I'm sorry I didn't review any of the other chapters but I couldn't stop reading. And my reviews would've been pretty much the same old, same old: "keep up the good work! can't wait to read on!".

You're an amazing storyteller. In my opinion, The Sound of Dreams (up to where I've read) has great timing and keeps a well kept, steady pace. Naruto and Sasuke, for the most part, are IC...although, whose to say what is IC and what isn't when it comes to intimate scenes between the two. I mean, it's not canon for them to sex each other up relentlessly (although I really do wish it was!). Ah, and the build up to the lemon was well done! It didn't just happen in chapter two with a bam, there were obstacles, emotions and all that jazz.

Okay, so basically through all this incomprehensible babble, what I am trying to say is...you've done an awesome job and have thoroughly satisfied my desire for a juicy, well-written Naruto/Sasuke piece of fiction. Actually, that's not true, I won't be completely satisfied until I finish this monster. My god I still have plenty of chapters to go...
I'm sorry this review was so lengthy. Thank you for writing! I've really enjoyed everything I've read so far.
And as soon as I can safely spare a good chunk of free time to avoid school and catch up on this fic, I will. Oh I will.

as long as i know there is a sequel i think i can let you live. j/k This is so good and what a anime worthy ending so inconclusive. I have a few months but i think your other random stories might be able to hold me over for the time it take to get to 08. I take your work that a wonderful Sound of Dreams worthy sequal is in the near future. Please tell me that sauske has a kid somewhere and thus no fake moms are needed?

    Hello,

I really just wanted to thank you for an amazing story and amazing insight into Naruto that broadened my thoughts on many subjects. Also I think I need to state that this is tied for the top of my favorite story....though this is the only one of the three to not have been an AU. Spiral Falling By: BeccaAmon and There's No Such Thing As Heroes By: Rasengan22 are the other two and as well written as they were I think this might just have them beaten by a little cause of the ninja action that was so well written into this story....I like the way it turned out and all though I really am going to be in anxiety until you start the next part in their story. I especially loved the way you had The Fox kill Orochimaru...I cant wait to see the abilities that the Mangekyou will possess. So once again. Thank you Thank you Thank You!!!!!! for this wonderful piece of fiction that makes me love Naruto so much....an also as a last I would never have Known about the Fuuma Clan if not for you and if you have been reading the Manga as of now it means something....you have entertained me as well as taught me.

    Thank you
