...wow. Seriously...wow. Why...didn't I read this story sooner?
Before I blow up in my uncontained liking for your wriitng, I must say that you are the first person who managed to pull off the characterization of both Lee and Gaara AND make the pairing work without straying them off to the OOC sidelines. Now that is real skill. Plus, you're style of writing is awesome. I mean, really awesome. You let us see a lot of the main characters' emotions and make the story flow beutifly without stretching it. Thus, I am left speechless.
This is probably the first pairing from Naruto I like as much as NaruSasu, thanks to you. And the lemons are...really good. Maybe they are a bit strange, but they fit with Gaara and Lee's characterization perfectly, as I would not expect them to just rush into something so new to both of them all of the sudden. Overall, if given a scale, I'd rate this 10 out of five.

MMmm. That was, in fact, perfect.
Just to warn you, I've been following this story for a while (chapter tenish, I suspect), because I can't leave it alone. It's utterly wonderful. Rock Lee has always been my hero, although I rarely associated him with Gaara. Not that I didn't like the pairing, it just wasn't an interest of mine. Then I started reading your fanfic. First it was an obession, then it became an occupation. I don't think I can give this fiction up.
As I said, Lee is pretty much one of my favorite Naruto characters. I think you've done an amazing job of capturing his character in your story. Gaara's characterization has been award-winning as well. In fact, it's mostly your fault he's my second favorite character now. Bloody heck, I can hardly imagine those two any other way than how you portray them.
I mean it when I say the action of this story is realistic. Obviously not the bits about Shukaku and ninja. I mean if you pulled those details out, Gaara and Lee could be two fellows down the road. (Goodness knows I wouldn't mind that one) Especially the sex. I've seen too many lemons that are full of words that you have to write with the first letter capitalized (as you put it), but they're nothing more than pron. (Good pron, mind you) This was... perfect. It was ackward and funny and sweet and full of love. It could have happened.
I guess what I'm really trying to say is ... thank you. 'Diplomatic Relations' has been mind-blowing. Keep up the good work!

Just so you know, I was going to review back in the day but.... meh. I'm only reviewing now BECAUSE IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT AND I DON'T HAVE MY PROOOOOON!!!

No, man. Even though you made Gaara uke this time, I can forgive you. Becuase where would I be without this amazing fic?

-reviewing again- Sorry, but random things just keep popping into my head. I was at school (bored like usual) so I was thinki'n about this story to pass the time, and I remembered it said Gaara got a new bed becuase Lee thought the other was Lumpy or something. I can just imagine

Temari: Gaara, why did you need a new bed..? -knows he doesnt sleep in bed-

Sorry. I just read it again. (I couldn't help myself) and despite what you were saying about the sex scene, I really liked it. Compared to alot of things I've read, yours is very well done and more realistic. And it was still hot too, lol. x3 And the shower "I can make myself real small" thing was just..Cute, teehee!! ^-^

Man, I can't wait to see what happens if Temari or Kankuro finds out that Gaara, of all people, is in a relationship. >_< It should prove to be interesting, wouldn't you say? :)

I love this fic! I had to read the whole thing first; I couldn't stop. This is so endearing, and humorous at the same time. To have Gaara and Lee in a take-it-slow relationship... man, makes me wish I could hug 'em! I hope you're gonna update soon! I have to admit, the awkwardness of one's first time, you depicted perfectly. (I'm not sure--wait, this doesn't feel so bad after all! This is great!) Keep them coming! EM

Wow. I adore this story. The way you right is really really great. I love how you mix all the romance angst and suspense in there equally. ^_^ Alot of fics are missing the proper details on surroundings and what's on the characters mind, so you can't get the proper mental image, but you've done very well on covering those. A great story indeed, not to mention the plot is rather original. I love that. And the pairing is also one of my favorites. Often when I fight a GaaraxLee story, it's very short, or never updated. This is probably my favorite GaaxLee story so far!! -shakes hand- you're so awesome.

I can't wait to see what happens next!

I agree with you in the sense that versus perfect sex misguided fumbling inexprienced novices are much more interesting. Of course it's not the end that counts but the adventures that make the journey worth whiled. (I want to see more not perfect sex until they get it right!)

It stinks that soon Freeprot will over and this story will undoubtly follow... Though I'm not sure whether I should be happy or concerned about The Source of All Things still a long way from finished.

In any case that was quite a steamy read, and Lee really loves you for it too. (He got to watch Gaara and live out his fantasy!) Always watching, always reading, always hungry for more Maldoror.

Heh. Just got done with chapter 17. HA! I'm glad you threw that in there. Very clever and thought out. And last chapter was done well too. I did kind of try to block out the mental picture though...just cuz...heh. Anyway, still reading and still enjoying! I'm really hoping i don't catch all the way up to you! T-T (Be quick! Like a bunny!) I hate having to wait for updates. XP I find it's much more pleasant when I get to choose where i stop...*sigh* Ah, well, good luck with inspiration and time to write! I'm looking forward to seeing this through to the end!

I love it. I love Gaara and Lee. You make them make sense, I hope you understood that. I am really enjoying this, you are on my favorites list. Can I suggest something. Another interlude with our poor ANBUish protectors. I can see some serious damage to their psyches after this. Maybe some heavy alcohol, or whatever. Its great. Keep it up.

Finally, after two weeks of anxiously going everyday to my computer to see if next chapter is tere I get what I was waiting for! And on the first day of my holiday! And it's a lemony chapter! It's just too good to be true.
Just the first few lines made me die in laughter. The wonderfully romantic setting of Lee's dream and Gaara's plain "Let's try anal sex"! Just magnificient!
It's cute how Gaara kisses Lee shortly after going away on the rooftop.
Oh my! Oh my! They are arguing on who is going to be bottom! They're too much!
Whoaw! I've just finished reading and my smile is just as wide as a bridge. It was so cute and loving and at the same time so akward because it was their first time and they wanted to get it right... I'm all candy right now because of it.
I love this chapter and it was really worth the anguish and the wait.
